Hearing Wussy do a live stream last week after a long hiatus, during which Lisa announced that a new album is currently being mastered, sent me back here to revisit the magic of Attica, and to remind me what a truly great band sounds like.
OMG! Is it two years? It seems two months and I'm 82. I can't leave this alone. My hair still stands up. This is perfection. If had to pick one you won't be surprised it is Lisa Walker's performance who makes the whole song head and shoulders above Daltry's version and lets herself go without a trace of histrionics, she's 100% natural. But she couldn't have done it without the other four reaching their own personal heights.
It's so interesting to me I always feel like I've heard this song from somewhere else before but I know I haven't. Perhaps it just speaks to some distant far off part of me.
It's when she throws off the headphones and those fucking dimples. She's having a blast and they all sound great. Hello I'm A Ghost from this session is better than the studio version too
Van Morrison is booked for my funeral, 'These are the Days.' I guess they could play that as I go through the curtains and they could play Wasteland as they all leave to go to their cars.
This isn't a cover of Baba O'Riley, it's more like a love letter to The Who, talking about Pete and Keith, the infamous explosion on the Smothers Brothers, Baba O'Riley, and the effect it all had on their youth.

Say that again! Did you say they're back after a long hiatus?! This fills me with immense joy.
Can't quite believe that it's been a year now since we lost our dear friend, John. R.I.P.
I feel like I'm responsible for about half the views of this. Captures my teenage life in the Midwestern better than any song I know.
One of the greatest rock tracks I have ever heard.
Kids from the middle of nowhere being saved by rock and roll. I can relate. Thanks, Wussy!
That's got to be like the performance of the year on KEXP. Not that it's a foot race but talk about a band fucking nailing it. Well done.
Cole Younger wow love this song
This moves me more & more every time I hear it.
This song "saved my life" many times
Me to

I knew the meaning of this song as soon as I listened to it without the lyrics, it's just so nostalgic, you can see it in her performance
Even better than the studio recording.
One of the best songs of 2014
Of the century so far
Just discovered that band - they are amazing
Christgau is right, this is the best f'ckn band on the planet. If they released this in 1977, they would be legends
FAWK YES

Now that I look at the date, I was TOTALLY listening to this live as it happened. I miss Seattle...
Play on repeat at my funeral, please.
