Great job, super clean nice looking build ! Don't worry about some of these other negative comments. Not all ports have to be 6" X 12" slots or 6" round. The only reason for using a large port is usually to increase efficiency and reduce any port noise. A lower powered system as you built does not have that worry. I bet in the van it sounds pretty good. Again well done.
Could have 'recessed' the amp a bit more to make it more durable and less subject to 'knocking' because you have the 'cut out' anyway. Nice clean finish simple look. Love it.

WHen you are installing power cables from battery (in most cases just +, and gnd is taken from the trunk) alwayz use one side of your car for power cables from bat, and other side for signal RCA cables from headunit. Just because you can get buzzing alternator noise from your loudspeaker. Yes, there's a 200w RMS subwoofer amp plate in Aliexpress model number YD-800w. Just use this keyword "new arrival 12v subwoofer amplifier". 😉
Nice build but that amp is not powerful enough to drive that sub.
How much power does the amp provide and how much power does the sub demand? I thought a speaker would work with any amount of power.
It will "work" but its like connecting that sub to an headphones output, its nonsense to use an such small amp with that sub.
Is there a rule about the power demand or does it rely on the technical specs of each sub?
depends on the sub. if it needs 100 watts RMS then you should never give it less. otherwise you'll starve it. and like the name implies, same as in humans, if you don't have a proper power intake, you'll stop working sooner. so if you underpower a sub it will die sooner.
