In this episode I test the Sotion FW11 in some real world scenarios starting with a long ride where I was looking for any heat issues. In the second half of the episode I test the bikes speed with a draggy to see what kind of times I can achieve in 330' and 660' distances. This is a trimmed down version of a video I released a couple weeks ago.

why is the current not even able to stay at 130 amps when the battery should be able to do 240 amps and the controller can do 200 amps?

Hey bud ive looked all over im tryind to figure out if the fw11 will fit into a ebox swing arm. If you get a moment could you let me know the measurements of the fw11 motor??
I do not think think this version will fit. BUT I believe Sotion has a shorter body version of the FW11 that may. Hope that helps your journey of tracking down the motor you want/need 🤜🤛
Please do test those motor on 17 in and 16 inch wheels
I think the biggest I would run is 14” wheels.
I’d really like to see a side by side teardown of the most popular motor upgrades people are using. This FW11 looks pretty small compared to all the QS motors and even the EC4P, but maybe it just looks small with that long swing arm extension you’ve got? It definitely seems to pack a punch for its size, would love to see what kind of magic is inside!
The Qs 165 is not in the same class as the ec4p or FW11. All three are great motors tho!
Ec4p and 5p don't hold a candle to the longevity of the fw11 its more on par with qs quality. Ec5p is like a step below still good but Ipm fw11 won't lock up on you if you throw a magnet inside the motor

@DarkKent mine was decked out with 72v, Kelly controller and aftermarket suspension. I didn’t like how the suspension moved when my feet are on the pegs as the swing arm moves up and down

What do you mean about the phase wires?
@@VoltronWatts like old school razors only have 2 wires like positive and negative wires . I have all 48v controller and 48v battery it only has two wires all the high amp stuff has phase wires like the 3 wires blue and green forgot the other color . Their is like one 1000w motor that uses only the two wires
That’s brushed vs brushless motors . Brushed are 2 wire

Dig'n the draggy content. You can setup the draggy to give ya 0-30 times too. Be cool to see those they are pretty similar to 60' times in most cases. doing a 1.8 0-30 and 4.5 0-60 with the qs165 stretched out @ 210lbs

It's more wattage than that 410 bucks 20,000 watts good Lord You couldn't even put that much juice into it. 70 mph I think the battery could put out that much
