When I first saw forza motorsport when I was 12 years old back in 2005 these graphics blew me away. I couldn't believe how good it looked. Even now it still looks beautiful. Not bad for a 15 year old game running on xbox which came out in 2001.

Standard and premium cars, standard only have a blacked out cockpit while premium has detailed cockpit. Forza on the other hand, Forza Motorsport 3 and 4 both had cars that all had cockpit views, though a lower amount of cars, they took quality over quantity
I'm 28 had all the top class cars all the Le Mans cars except for the Porsche gt1 and something else so basically every car except 2 all tuned loved it no racing game came close not even nfs or midnight club 3 I'm bouta buy this shit again lmfao
this was the first racing simulator i ever played, i was awestruck by the graphics, the customization freedom you could have, the amount of cars in the game, completely blew me away, i was absolutely addicted.

The graphics honestly look very good for something that was made in 2001 so what did you expect from it ? 30 FPS is acceptable when the console‘s already old but the graphics are very good.

Honestly, I'd just buy an actual XBOX. They're not expensive, probably you can get then for under 50 bucks. But, emulation does work just as well. In my opinion, I prefer the original hardware.

The original Xbox has aged so well. Games still look awesome! Ps2 on the other hand is quite dated. I just bought a PS2 again but I really need to get an Xbox. I'm playing Splinter Cell Chaos Theory but this PS2 version looks awful. Ps2 is an awesome console with so many games but I'm starting to remember why I loved the original Xbox more.
Forza 4 was my first Forza and blew me away on series X but damn watching this just reminds me playing that game with the Enzo Ferrari at the front that was Xbox exclusive along with the 2000s early racing games on PS2 and somehow feels more fun than playing FH4 😅

i love microsoft,nintendo and sony but microsoft is kinda greedy these days but still good,popular and their new console is great and nintendo is amazing for free online and saving the video game industry from dying in the 80's which is why gaming still exists till this day and sony evolved 3d gaming into a new generation (even tho sega dreamcast and the n64 did better) LOVE THEM ALL TO THIS DAY

Man I remember spinning so many laps on Tsukuba Circuit with McKenna Porsche. Funny enough I happen to live near a McKenna Motorsports Dealer years before not knowing. Also that Sparco Lancer and the Forza Livery on that Subaru ahh mannn. Iconic cars for sure!

Well, maybe you're right, but when I record video of my first xbox genaration in my capture, when I extract the video to my pc, the specifications of the video tells me that they are 720x480 dimensions, frame rate 59 fps, bit rate video 7445 kb's
XxSilen0ZxX It's 59FPS because your capture card is configured to record at that rate, that doesn't indicate that the game runs at 60FPS. The specifications of the video are what your capture card is set to record at; I am unsure whether Forza actually renders at 720x480, it's unlikely as it supports 16:9 (in which it renders at 640 x 480)

@@Ole_CornPop nonono, it was just fine in gran turismo 4. Sliding and drifting was next to impossible in gran turismo 4. If you are talking about Gran Turismo 3 though, I wholly agree. The realism was pumped up in gt4
I almost want to emulate xbox just to play this with a higher resolution but I already emulate a few other devices and I actually own an Xbox so I may just suck it up and buy the original in 480p. Its a shame they didn't make it in 720p considering there are plenty of xbox games in 720p and 1080i and they look great. Its a shame more creators couldn't manage their games in 720p. Soul calibur II on the Xbox is a pretty good game that looks great. So are the MX games like MX VS ATV UNLEASHED It runs in 1080i and looks great for an Xbox game of that age.

I saw it on a CRT TV running composite, and it REALLY, really looked like real life. You couldn't tell it apart from a TV broadcast.

Framerate leaves a lot to be desired. Graphics are pretty nice but underwhelming considering Gran Turismo 4 looks better at 60 FPS.
People claim it to be a 720p game on the Original Xbox (With component cable of course), I tried it yesterday, but it's a 480p game.
