The suspense! Is it going to tear? IS it? Is it? NO! I love all the texture. The crackles.... The excitement in your voice is everything! The passion when you are teaching. I love you.
I commented on one of your previous videos about ten minutes ago and you asked a question... "What do we look for in a channel...?" Well watching this video is exactly what "I" look for... You showed us "your one trueself" and in that moment in your eyes you showed us your love, your fears, your commitment, your passion, your sorrow your strength and your gift and with each video you share that with all of us so thank you... Stay safe my lovely... 💫😷⏳🤎⏳😷💫
I’m not a master creator of cards but the joy I get from making them for others is far beyond words! I’ve been told by many to sell my cards...um...no way! I know my passion will disappear if I do so...I stick to my passion without the burden of deadlines, demand, etc etc. I’m happy doing my art for ME and those who receive.
I totally get your passion for art you create and share with friends. It is special. You took the time to create something that is uniquely you and gave it to someone else because you want them to feel special. That is so important, especially in today’s world. You aren’t just using up stuff you made and don’t have a purpose for, you are sharing yourself. Thank you for your ideas. I created 15 cards from your napkin/iron video and have had so much love come back from people I sent them to.
I don't know if you read comments on old posts, but i ran across your page yesterday while looking to see if anyone had done gel prints on white napkins. I was so impressed, i went and did it myself. What a keen experience! I, actually, took the lazy way out and just slapped on the whole napkin with all the plys. It turned out to be a great idea. When I pulled it, the second layer peeled right off and, best of all, NO PAINT had seeped through!!!! I couldn't believe it, so I had to share that with you. I look forward to watching more of your videos.
Yesss! You are so right!! Making art is the main reason I make art! I love the napkin tutorial and used napkins many years ago for collages! Thank you for bringing this back to me! I was so touched!💖
I just left a comment on another vid, but I can't help, but leave one more..I feel the same about art..it gives me the best feeling .... so much joy. I feel your emotions that you are radiating through your work..It is rad..I love every bit of what u are doing..and I am hooked
Oh wow Ingrid this was amazing. You made me cry at the end. I could feel exactly what you were feeling. Great story telling. It’s those feelings that I tried to convey to my audience this year with little success. You’ve done it beautifully
I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I wore my emotions a little in my sleeve there, but it means so much to me! I know you get it!!! Thanks for watching chickie!!! 😘😘🎨
Ingrid, this video is so wonderful. Your love and passion for what you create is so sincere. Thank you for being such an inspiration. That gel print with the napkin was amazing!
You tell ‘em” Ingrid❣️. I feel the same way about creating special little ARTifacs that appear in someone’s mailbox and brighten their day. It’s a win,win situation. I love creating, and the recipient loves the surprise. Keep on inspiring us all. You are genuinely awesome. So happy I found you on UA-cam.
Ya, little things, just a few pieces of paper, can mean the most. It's awesome that we can make someone smile at any given moment, from afar. I'm glad you're a part of our community. Thanks for watching! 😁😁🎨
So glad you loved it... I know...I was so excited when it pulled. Sorry I missed our little crafting zoom today! Determined to make the next one!! Happy Mother's day my friend. 😘😘🎨
I can not wait to try this technique!! So amazing. I’ve been binge watching your videos the last week and your love of art is so beautiful. Thank you for sharing all this with us.
You're the absolute best! Yes, you've seen me GUSH before...lol. I'm so glad you enjoyed it chickie!! Thanks for taking the time to pop by and watch! 😁🎨
Ingrid, your amazing passion, energy, creativity, enthusiasm and love for what you do are truly admired and appreciated. Thank you for sharing your heartfelt words and thoughts. This is a fabulous videos for so many reasons - your words were truly touching. Off to locate paper napkins and play. Thank you for sharing this fun project.
Wow, thank you! That's so sweet to say Sherry! Honestly, I was totally surprised myself. I thought for sure it would. I've learned so much about that little napkin layer since this video. It's much stronger than you would think - and at the same moment, totally fragile. Part of its charm. Thanks for watching!! 😁😁🎨
Welcome Christine! One of my favorite videos - that print was SO much fun...I truly thought it was going to tear...lol. I'm so glad you enjoyed that. Welcome our little colorful community. Thanks for watching. 😀😀🎨
Oh dear Ingrid, I think you nearly needed some of those napkins for a tissue for your tears. Love your passion and how generous you are with sharing your ideas.
I’ve watched LOTS of your videos. I’m pretty particular about who I watch so take the praise! I managed to score some napkins from my mum the other day. I asked her if I could have one of each. I didn’t know at the time what I would use them for but now I have a few options, including printing with my Gelli plate.
About to get into gel printing, couldn't afford tissue paper, but i wanted to get into abstract collage...kinda hoping napkins will help get me there. (Best thing is, it won't cost a lot too buy in bulk...)
Beautiful!!! I'm new to your chanel, I was researching gell printing and stumbled up on it. You are so passioned about it that I can't wait togo and play myself. What you say about cardmaking is so true, it a win win process, the maker experiences joy making it and the receiver by getting it. Thank you for inspiring me!!! Love, Ingrid from the Netherlands
You will LOVE it chickie!! My gel plate keeps me sane...lol. It's probably my favorite tool cause it just cranks out the pieces and is so relaxing. Thanks for popping by. You are 4 subs away!!! Early congrats!!! 😁😁🎨

That was fun to watch! I'm so going to try it, too! And you're so right about those feelings when you try something and it turns out well, or even better /more amazing than well! I wish more ppl (esp those whom I send my cards to) would understand that... 😁 Thank you for also showing what you can DO with the print! 👍
I'm SO glad you enjoyed it Lianne. I know what you mean. I just have to chalk it up to however it touches them is perfect for me. I think it's more the act of doing and creating knowing there will be smiles on the other side that are enough, you know?!! I went to the mailbox today and my good friend Justine had sent me a card. I can not tell you how big the SMILE on my face was. I wish someone was filming me, I was SO excited to see that colorful envelope. I KNEW it was happy mail mixed in with all the rest. I have that smile on now, just thinking about it. That's the power of that little card. Thanks for watching!! 😁😁🎨
What a stimulating discovery, I've got to try this. I do the same sort of thing with cheesecloth, so fragile, so easy to make "lumps"...but then when I paste the cheesecloth onto the surface and seal it and then paint it? It's like working with very old canvas or parchment. Sure it might rip...but you know what they say about mistakes and opportunities!! Thanks for sharing!!😍
That is a GREAT idea Jamie. I don't know why I never think to take mine into the craft room. I think I need to get some just for crafting...lol. I'm with you - the ripping sometimes is the best part...lol! The beauty of using a paper napkin layer is how pliable it is. It's perfect for non-flat surfaces too. Thanks for watching!! 😁😁🎨

Ingrid...girl yah got me crying. I could never explain to my hubby why I got so excited from card making. That's it. I connect with my art. Thanks for the words. I was wondering if you sign your art in card form (not the salutation)?
Hey Linda! Thank you, I'm so glad you were moved - you get it. I laugh at myself all the time cause I get so emotional about it, but it's the truth - I connect with it. It means something to people when I share with them. Could you elaborate on your question, I'm not 100% sure what you're asking, thank you!!! Thanks so much for watching too and commenting. It really meant the world to me! 😀😀🎨
Ah, I think I understand....yes, when it's more of a thing like a painting, something I've created more me than someone else's design, then yes. Otherwise I stamp the back of the card as an original creation with my first name or initials signed. But if true art, all me, drawn or painted, then I sign on the front like a painting. Hope that helps! 😁😁😁🎨

You're so spot on, this was when I was really learning my style and using music. It is definitely the wrong choice and too loud...lol. But does help the story to some degree...lol. It was a learning process that year. I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. I appreciate it! 🎨😁 ❤️
Glad you enjoyed the video. I agree on this one, it was the wrong choice, and I was very much in a learning phase of how best to incorporate it. They get better over time...lol. I will always have music, cause that's just me, it'll evolve. I appreciate the feedback though. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. I appreciate it! 🎨😁 ❤️
Tutorials are enough on their own with the voiceover. The music alienates a lot of people. There are many who will be triggered by sensory overload from the visual, voice and music. It's such a shame because it's an interesting video.
I'm so thrilled you enjoyed the process @Desert Stamper ... sorry the volume was difficult for you. I'm so careful about that part - and I'm learning the art of adding that. Which isn't as easy as it sounds...lol! I'm glad you enjoyed the pull none-the-less. Thanks for watching!! 😁😁🎨

LOL, they are SO much fun. And you can do a lot with them. I know you'll quickly fall in love with it. Thanks for watching!! 😁😁🎨

I’m so excited to share, you have such energy and talent .
Awe, that's really sweet. It's so wonderful that we all have this incredible platform. The world does not feel so massive anymore to me. I think it's so cool that I have so many friends in New Zealand and Australia, India, and the far reaches of the globe...yet I've never been there. Thanks for watching Linda, commenting and putting yourself out there too!😁😁🎨

a little dramatic with the music but enjoyed it anyway 😁
You're so spot on, this was when I was really learning my style and using music. It is definitely the wrong choice and too loud...lol. But does help the story to some degree...lol. It was a learning process that year. I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. I appreciate it! 🎨😁 ❤️
Thanks for the video. Just personal opinion but I found the music distracting. Otherwise, thanks for the tutorial and insight.
Beautiful! Your background music isn't needed!
The music would be okay if it was toned down a bit! My hearing problem picked up the music more than the talking, but the process was worth watching!
SO Glad you liked the print! Sorry you don't like the music! Just a personal choice. Thanks for watching!! 😁😁🎨
