    WOW!!! Great prints.
I've never heard anyone talk about the things you mentioned about gelli printing. I learned more in this one video, than all the other ones put together!!!
I'm new to your channel, and excited about watching more.
I don't have a gelli plate, and have never done it. But after this video, I feel I can do it.
The gel plate and paints are not in my budget right now. But I've been buying couple paints each month. So it will be soon.
I just can't believe how different your knowledge & processes are than anyone else has explained.
I've done mostly crochet, sewing, and needlework all my life. But I just started doing junk journals 4 few months ago. So now I'm dyeing paper, and using paints. So a WHOLE NEW WORLD has opened up to me.
Its nice to have some good knowledge before you start,..... just so you don't have to figure everything out the long way, by yourself. That can be frustrating.
I didn't even think about building layers and that what goes on gel plate first, ends up on top of paper!!! It should he common sense. But I didn't think of it. Light bulb just went on!!!
THANK YOU VERY MUCH for taking time to explain these basics. I really appreciate your teachings!!!
Thank you for the video. I'm subscribed and got the bell on. So I can follow your channel now.
Plus, you are so fun to watch, and relaxing to listen to.

Loved this tutorial, sounds pretentious on my behalf but its the first "art" tutorial I have seen on gelli plates, its about the energy of the artist, as opposed to just producing lovely prints.

Thank you Liz! That means the world to me. Yes, art is about a feeling, techniques are great, I use them all the time, but they are just the tools to help us breathe our emotions and life into works that connect with those we love, including ourselves. I wholeheartedly believe that. Thank you for taking the time to watch and leave a comment. I just filmed the video that uses that print yesterday, I'm excited to get it up later this month. I like to think she's smiling somewhere thinking about the art, and us. Much love! 😍😘🎨

I guess it is the playful way of leaving part of stencilled and other paint to dry, starting with a dark color, and actually doing the layering thing in 1 go, not in multiple printing. I LOVE monoprinting, mostly the ghost prints for the same reason: having control in a certain way maybe? I knew about letting layers dry, but your approach added to it...

Ingrid, your gel prints are amazing! I could sit and watch you create them ALL DAY LONG!!!!!!! I don't have any gel plates, but maybe in the near future I will get some & be GLUED to your channel. My husband might mind a little bit, but hey, art's gotta happen! ♥ Thanks and have a fantastic day!

@@IngridBlackburn, time. I have so many projects started, so many art supplies untouched, so much canvas waiting for me to put paint on,.....etc!

    • @IngridBlackburn

@@TexasSandog I understand THAT. If you do have stencils in your stash, it's a tool that will help use that and your paints. One of the most valuable for me. If you use canvas for mixed media - it'll help you with lighter prints for collaging and art journaling as well. Painting - not so much. If you ever have any questions, don't hesitate to ask, k! Are you on social/IG? I'd love to see your work - with all those canvases just waiting for that paint! 😍

I just found your channel. Thank you for sharing your process. I love the use of the script stencil at the beginning of your process. My cleanup prints always seem to be my favorite. I think I’m going to try this process on some of my vintage ledger papers. I subscribed and a hang out sounds fun!

Great process video, and I love the direction and focus you've had lately. It's nice for us to share in your therapy after the loss of your mom. Thanks for sharing and being open with us! I would love to hang with you and do some of this in a virtual session.

Lovely work, love the idea of working on two plates at once, using the commonality of color and not having brayer waste ink

I have never done this. I’m a long time scrapbooker and I occasionally play with acrylic painting. I love what you create and really want to try it. My hubby got me some brayers (sp?) for my birthday. Now I just need a gel plate. Once I have that, I’ll think about joining you live. In the meantime, I’ll keep watching. 😊💕

I am brand new to Gelli printing, I'm doing the very basic tuff right now and I'm learning, learning, learning. I'm struggling with the layering bit, something I very much want as I plan to use these papers I create in decoupage pieces, but I know watching video's like yours will help me to get there. Thanks for sharing, I've subscribed and I hope to learn lots.
