I was thinking the same thing. They could have refunded his money at least!! Gosh, Norfolk Airguns got it before he did? That's WRONG on EVERY LEVEL!!!
This should be a lesson to the target manufacturer. Voice of customer:- Step 1 - someone comes to you with a good idea and knows what they and their comrades need. Step 2 - make a prototype and let that someone test and validate the design. Step 3 - Sell it. Step 2 would have shown the target doesn't set reliably and should have informed a design change. Also, the someone has a large audience and most people think the manufacturer is tighter than a ducks arse in winter for not sending one out as a thank you. Nice work as ever Jeff.
I have several of there targets and anything with a magnetic retainer mechanism doesn’t last long,( shattering) the only way to make them work properly is to replace the magnets with cup magnets 😊👍 I also run a bead of mastic on the uprights to retain them. Nice idea 👍 keep up the good work kindest regards Carl
I think you were very generous describing the unfolding of events as you did , they could of at least contacted you when they were in production or given you a big discount for the idea and drawing !
Its the same from me , they could have sent you a free one , looks good, I'm going to order one so thanks for your idea , keep doing the videos for us , Cheers .
I really enjoy watching your videos, you make everything really enjoyable! I learnt a lot from you as well, thank you for all the reviews tips and tricks :-)
Targets seem to bounce back a lot rather than hold in position, magnets can suffer damage when struck, so not sure of that aspect. If you were using the Ghost, might have been interesting to turn the power adjust down a bit to see if the target worked any better. Kudos to you for getting the idea out there though. 👍👍
Another great video, thank you. I think they really should have shipped you a prototype for testing, as it was your idea. Hopefully they will ship to the US.
Yes Mark, I did think about that, but the plates lift fine on the bigger holes. I'm going to try either bending the plates slightly or moving the support bar back more. 🙂👍
Would like your opinion please? i to find the standard metal targets not chalenging for garden or range bench at say 25 to 40 yds because of large hole size. that 10mm is about right or smaller even. would you be able to give a opinion on haw small you could go? if shooting from a high standing bench and taget placed on the ground i presume the angle negates some of the size making a 5mm hole near impossibe? whats your views? thinking a 5mm up to 10mm would be a great challege
The biathlon target that I show in the video has 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 15mm, and 21mm holes. I think 8mm is probably as small as you want to go at distance though I guess 6mm would still be doable at closer ranges. The 'know your limits' target pictured in the video goes down to the metal thickness of 3mm which might be a real challenge. 🙂👍
They did offer to send me one to begin with, but I guess they forgot. I wasn't in it to get a free target I just wanted one to my design, and they did do all the work!
Hi, I believe you own a Daystate Wolverine R, could I be cheeky and ask what energy it is putting out, mine is only 10 ft/lbs using Jsb 8.44 grs in .177. I'm quite sure this is far to low?.
No Problem! Mine is running at 11.2 ft.lb or approx 772 ft/sec with 8.44 pellets. It looks like the reg is set at 105-110 bar. It's difficult to tell exactly on the gauge. Hope that helps. 🙂👍
@@hftshooter Cheers Jon, mine struggles to get beyond 700 fps in 8.44 gr, and only 600 fps in 10.34 gr, pretty useless for hunting and its less than a year old. Test sheet says 780 fps in 8.44gr. Bit of bs I suspect 👍. Oh and I have subscribed to your informative channel.
Hearing that you paid for this and it took 3 weeks for it to arrive is absolutely disgusting mate! I’ve just got back into hft with a s510 ultimate sporter and just got myself a steer lg110 and I need practice with them, this target is ideal but a shame you was treated like this
I've seen quite a lot of advertising on US sites for a company called send cut send. You send them a file (easy to make in any free CAD package) and then they cut it out and send it to you. Steel that thickness is doddle to cut on a fibre laser... A quick Google shows a similar company in the UK based in Suffolk. I have no idea on prices. I believe you can often use the websites to drop the file in and get an instant quote. Might be fun to build up a library of parts that anyone could order.
So you have an idea for a target, you take the idea to a company even giving them the basic design, they take your design and develop it, put it into production, then you pay for the target and you wasn’t even the first to get one, absolutely disgusting
They did say they would send me a free target, but I guess they forgot. I didn't do it for a free target but was disappointed to not be more involved or kept in the loop.
from the few shots seen here it does not set good enough. Also i wonder how many people use their custom target service to cream off peoples good ideas?
As I said in the video, if it doesn't reset you can clearly see a good hit. I'm okay with that. As for custom target service, I don't know anything about that. I approached them because I thought they could make what I wanted whilst producing something that might be a good seller for them. It wasn't my goal to make any money out of it.
OK I've read you got a refund but come on, they know who sent them the design, they profited from that design and then they sent the targets to youtubers that they thought would give them the most return. So is that company trust worthy?
I was going to order one until you said you had to pay for it. Totally disgusting company. There's plenty more targets out their without going to that disgraceful company. Tweek your design a little, as theirs isn't that great, and submit it to another company that are probably more reputable than the Airgun Target Company are. I'm boycotting them, feel its the least i can do after the way youve been treated.
I think that's maybe a bit harsh. You should know that they've just been in touch and refunded me for the target. Please don't deny yourself the opportunity of getting what I think is a good practice target on my behalf. All the best!
I would like to thank The Airgun Target Company for refunding me the cost of my target, a much appreciated gesture. 😀👍
Can’t believe they didn’t send you one from the first production.
I was thinking the same thing. They could have refunded his money at least!! Gosh, Norfolk Airguns got it before he did? That's WRONG on EVERY LEVEL!!!
The least they could have done is given him one for review!
They did say they would send me one; I guess they forgot. What's done is done!

I would have liked to be more involved, but it's their business I guess and the result is pretty much what I imagined. Thanks for watching. 🙂👍
That was a great idea for a target. They could have sent you one for free but at least you have one now. Take care.
Thanks! 🙂👍

Thanks Carl I'll have to check out 'cup magnets'. 🙂👍
You're one of the nicest guys on UA-cam. I love watching your videos. I learn something EVERY TIME i watch!!! GREAT JOB on the target!!
Wow, thanks! 🙂👍

Thanks, I guess they just forgot about me.

Thank you very much!
I like that idea!
Thanks for watching. 🙂👍
looks like a nice target, looks like you have a lot of other nice videos too, u got a new subscriber 🤠
Thanks for the sub! 🙂👍

I'll mainly be using it with a springer as that's what I used for HFT. So as you say, the lower power may help.
Great video and invention, you really should market these as I'm pretty sure they'd sell well, kind regards,Phil.
They are available to buy. Link in the video description.
Another great video, thank you.
I think they really should have shipped you a prototype for testing, as it was your idea.
Hopefully they will ship to the US.
Thanks. They did initially say they would send me one but I guess they forgot. It didn't feel right with me to remind them so I just bought one.
@@hftshooter Understood, I would have likely done the same. Thanks again for your videos!
Wtf!!' ,, It's beautiful. That is easily the best resetable target. I ever seen in my entire life.😂
😂👍
Very clever little set up. Is there a link to buy one? I'd like one of my own. Great video
The link is in the description. 🙂👍
Do you think grinding a little off the plates for smaller holes so there’s less weight to lift it up to the top?
Yes Mark, I did think about that, but the plates lift fine on the bigger holes. I'm going to try either bending the plates slightly or moving the support bar back more. 🙂👍
Spray your plate with some yellow line paint so you can see where your missed shots go.
Thanks, as you can see from my other targets I normally do that. I had to get the video finished quickly so didn't have time to paint it. 👍
Hi again , what paint / spray can do you use for your metal targets ?
I use line marking spray paint from Screwfix. 👍
Oh ok , I'll get me some , cheers 👍
Unluckily they only ship to UK. Someone should market these worldwide. Thanks for your videos.
Very nice and humble sir. Thanks for your efforts
Thanks for watching. 🙂👍

That would leave a sour culture vulture taste in my mouth. Least they could do is send you one free of charge.

Thank you. I have now made a mental note that I will never buy anything from the Airgun target company. 🙏🏻
Hi John, I guess even the best companies have unfortunate occurrences now and again.
The cheeky beggars had you pay for it? Never mind paying for it. You should be receiving royalties for each unit sold.
I never thought about making money from it. I just wanted to get my target made. They did say they would send me one but I guess they forgot.

It's a good target though. I would recommend it. Link in description.
@@hftshooter thanks mate yeah! I’ll have a look
I think you should have had the first one for free
They originally said they'd send me one. I guess they forgot. Their comms were not great.
The least they could have done is gifted you one to review, they should imo refund your money pal!
Yeah, lot of viewer saying the same. I had some expectations of the project that weren't fulfilled but happy I finally got my target.
@@hftshooter as long as you’re happy. Just think it’s a poor show on their part tbh
Tbh, the way the company has treated you makes me not want to buy one.
I had no expectations and they don't owe me anything. Just a little disappointed that I didn't get to do the first review that's all.
@hftshooter I don't agree, but that's me
Agreed they should have given him one, his idea after all! Now on sale for £49 reduced from £79….
Nicely done, sir! Are you getting any commission? If so, feel free to delete the following message.
