Thank you so much for the recipe! I’m married into a fijian family, and myself an Indian. I make it totally different and taste between the two is very different. Thank you will make this for my family now!
Looks delicious, making it today. I love how detailed you are with your explanation. I always add Kasuri methi to my dishes, it really enhances the flavour. Oh, and btw - it is Kasuri, not Kasturi. I believe Kasturi has another meaning...lol. Update - made and it turned out yumm! Family loved it. Will definitely save this recipe for future.
I asked my mum the steps of aaloo muttar and your steps and her steps are identical haha so I made it using your vid as a reference along with the instructions from my mum and my cooking techniques which is very similar to yours and I’m eating it now with rice and it’s delicious. If I could share a pic here I would Can you make Fiji style Khadi but with yogurt and not buttermilk
That sounds awesome ! I have fiji style Kadhi coming up tomorrow however it is without yogurt or buttermilk. I will share another kadhi recipe in 2 months time
Oh dear .. it’s Baking soda sweetie, not Baking Powder. You might like to check your videos and correct this mistake . Other than that I’m loving your curries ❤❤❤

Julum bhaini..kasuri methi hai, kasturi nahi 😄
Hi, How much baking powder do you recommend?
1 teaspoon is more then enough :)
If i don't have asafoetida, what can i replaced with and why do i have to add baking powder?
You can exclude it. I add asafoetida when making beans or pulses for digestion. Baking powder to soften the peas
@@myfijikitchen thanks very much🥰
Sorry but ehat exactly is Hing?
Curry looks yummy as always
Hi it’s asafoetida :)
Is it fresh peas or frozen
I used dried peas and rehydrated it by soaking it overnight. You can use frozen as well but for that ensure you cook potato and peas together
Which masala is it? Is it called, "fiji masala" or is it "garam masala", or "fiji pulao masala"? Thanks.
It’s Fiji Masala, I’ll be posting recipe for the masala shortly
@@myfijikitchen Thank you! I've been trying your recipes, it's been great!
@@myfijikitchenwhere's the recipe. Names of the spices

Thank you but I stand corrected- I use BAKING POWDER and that’s what I say
In fiji we use baking powder for protein breakdown whilst cooking peas and other legumes chickpeas etc.
