Hi I have glass pad questions. :) Firstly, I confess that I bought a random OEM one for literally 5 bucks (and 23 cents) and absolutely fell in love with its "honeycomb mesh" finish. See, this was kinda a deal breaker for me with regards to mainstream manufacturers because it's unexpectedly difficult to find good close-up photos of their finishes. I find the honeycomb-style finish more "breathable" and my 5-dollar mousepad was believe it or not, double-sided so I could try the frosted finish as well. At least for my personal preferences, no contest. But yes the question is, do you know of any major manufacturers that feature glass mousepads with honeycomb-style finishes? Also, I've noticed that different PTFE skates perform drastically differently on glass pads. (All claim to be virgin PTFE). Dot skates e.g are often much noisier but this varies drastically from mouse to mouse, yet phenomenally smoother and glidier. They all have that "air hockey table" feel, but some sellers say their harder composite (often multiple layers, some with a fibre core) PTFE skates are better for hard / glass pads, but others say the complete opposite, that their softer options are for glass pads and should not be used for soft pads. Do you have any experience on this?
i honestly have no idea about end honeycomb pad, but for the skates yes, sometimes harder style dot skates are better for glass pads, ex: the red obsidians from xray pad are probably one of the best you can get for glass due to the durability, there are some skates like obsidian pros that claim to help with sound as well. For variation yes that’s normal not all ptfe is 100% identical
@@nbimc Thank you! It was very helpful to know obsidians are an actual term and not just some random name 1 specific company chose. I recently ordered a set and never knew other companies used the term too. I'm still very new to glass pads and serious dedicated gaming accessories like skates in general. E.g. I never even knew skates had that invisible protective film on them until I accidentally scratched one off. They're such a pain, especially with dots. I'm happy that you're also very friendly and informative. Very glad I discovered you.
i think the skates in general are all going to end up being very similar, i think if you end up liking the red obsidians just buy more because they’re hardened ptfe and will last longer than normal ptfe, i don’t recommend going down the rabbit hole of skates lol
I had a few questions if you dont mind answering... 1. Has the speed increased or slowed down in anyway after a few months of use now? 2. If I have a glass table is the glasspad likely to move with the texture of the bottom on the Empress? 3. I hear a lot of people mention empress being slower than typical glasspads but by any chance is there a mousepad it compares to thats not glass? Fastest Pad i own is probly a Hien and slowest I had in the past was a Zowie G-SR. Any help appreciated!
no there hasn’t been any change in speed, if people have reported it, it’s because of their mouse feet wearing down. the bottom of the pad is not likely to move on pretty much any surface it’s very solid. and it’s been a while since i’ve used a hien but empress should be faster
Recently i'm curious to try a glass mousepad also that looks great...is it a killer also for new skypad 4.0?..but i don't know if is too rush...for games like cs2.....now i'm using infinitemice speed v2....and i feel very well
@@nbimc ok for now i play at cs2 and sometimes valorant......i tried also the finals and is nice.....i think to try also apex.... What games do you use glass mousepad?
Interested in this pad but play CoD. Would the speed and control of this pad be adequate for that? Also, not a stationary player (sniper/long-range engagements). Run almost AR/SMG loadouts exclusively.

Great review and you’re spot on. Best pad currently on the market imo. Conrady is a gangster
he just cooks up some real fire designs
Great review! Love the color combo a lot
same here it really goes well together
Great video, Used artisan zero for years now but since this pad matches my purple beast x, i might cop it even though my main game is valorant 😂.
look into the infinitymice control v2

i personally wouldn’t recommend glass pads for cs

pretty much every game with tracking ill pull out my empress

yeah in rebirth i am a very very agro player and i play really confidently on it personally
I have a skypad 3.0 just ordered the empress speed version. We shall see
@@alexrathbun3817Assuming youve recieved it, how does it compare to the skypad? Is it same speed? And how does the coating feel?
So are the dot skates for speed or control
speed, it’s tiger ice v2
Can you use it without a sleeve?
it’s definitely possible, after a couple games and warming up it does get a little sticky but not as bad as skypad
