Tnx for review! 2:20 How do you use Sigma 18-35mm F1.8? It has no mount-L version. Do you use any bayonet adapter? For example EF to L-Mount. In this case what with AF?

Hey, good video. A little quick on the talking forcing me to rewatch it over and over. But I just bought a lumix s5 but I don’t see the master pedestal or the SS gain operation on my menu in image quality. Why is that? Did I get a broken camera?
Great walkthrough! Just wondering, is there a noticeable loss of quality with apsc mode when shooting 4k 60fps?
Thanks! If you are using sharp and good lenses it shouldn't be an issue. I never noticed any quality loss as its still 4k. Only time you might notice is when you have a cheap lens which isn't sharp.
And when you change to apsc you will see more noise in low light situations. So if you want best low light performance, use full frame. But I still filmed plenty of videos at night in apsc and looked great as long as you dont push the iso too high. So have some light on set for those type of videos. ;) good luck!
One Question: Can I upload my CAMSET from my S1H into my S5 through the card where is located?

Great Overview! This helps me to set up my S5. I have a silly question- but what does the "MM -1 2/3" kind of Values between Aperture and ISO in the Display mean? Cant find it, and it keeps changing constantly... Thx a lot!
Awesome thanks for checking it out!
The MM is just showing you if your image is overexposed or underexposed. Technically you would want to be close to 0. So if you point your camera at something dark and your shot is underexposed, you'll see a negative number. And if you point your camera at something bright, you'll see the number change to positive.
So it's basically a guide for exposing. But I would recommend using zebras for dialing in your exposure.

You can always change the playback speed of the video if you think it’s too fast.

Yes, it does have sensor stabilization! So you can even have vintage lenses stabilized which is really cool. And yes it does have S&Q mode, in which you can choose a lot of frame rates. These are the frame rates available: 1, 2, 5, 10, 15, 30, 60, 100, 120, 150 and 180fps.

@@lionroots11 Definitely a big fan of the S5. Way better low light in the same size is great! And with the apsc crop function, you can basically use it as a GH5 with lenses such as Sigma 18-35 f1.8. ;)

Hi nice video. However I strugle with custom modes and WB... I want to custom modes not to load WB settings (basically I want to control WB across all modes) -> So I went to Custom modes settings -> Disable loading details WB. But it does nothing, everytime I switch of and back to custom mode it resets WB to stock value. Maybe bug in firmware??? (S5, latest 2.4 firmware)
Just got mine. Shooting manual lenses, manual mode. How do I get the camera to stop exposure compensating for whatever manual aperture I'm in, even when in M?
Your ISO might be set to auto. Press the ISO button and change it manually.

I have an event coming up where I'm shooting for a short event that will feature mainly speakers. Would you recommend that I shoot in Cine D2 or VLOG?
Is there any way to seperate video and photo settings in rec mode? It's such a pain to always have to change shutterspeed, picture profile etc. when switching back and forth :/
That's automatically enabled on the S5, so once you go to a photo mode you have different shutter speed, picture profile etc, when you switch to movie mode you have the settings you last set in that mode. And on top of that you have the custom modes as well.

1:15 hurt me to see u take the lens out lol. Once my lens goes in it doesn't come out. Had the kit lens on the a7sii for 4 years never had a spec of dust in my shot. When I switched to the Tamron 17-28mm small dust got in. Cleaned the sensor and never removed the kens again lpl
Oh wow, what! You never took the lens off? That's crazy, on my music video shoots I probably switch my lenses at least 40 times a day. loool
I think it's because that's what you do for a living. I would rather carry two or 3 cameras if I needed to change a lens 40x. It would hurt my soul to expose my sensor that many times lol but! I also can't afford to replace it if it gets ruined u probably can

You can change Shutter speed and ISO on Crane 3S and 2S, not sure about the older crane 2.
You can use external monitors with the micro HDMI, you'll still be able to see the menu on the external monitor (or you can turn all the menus off when using an external monitor). All settings need to be changed on the camera, or via WIFI app.

is it possible to change the shutter speed dial function?
I am unable to change the peaking sensitivity and get an annoying message, saying, “This item cannot be selected.”Could there be something wrong with my s5?
Make sure both your lens and the camera has MF (Manual Focus) selected. If that still happens, it might be something with your unit.
Hi when I film in C4K the file does not open in my editing timeline whereas when I film with S&Q mode it comes out normal
Youre probably filming in 10bit. And 10bit files are a bit tricky to open up. Its best to open them in your editing program or look up "How to open 10bit files" on youtube. Good luck.

They should make a firmware update for the audio because even with a Shotgun Microphone it's still peaks badly
Why i can't turn off the image stabilization on the lumix S5?
This might happen when your lens has a physical Stabilization switch, have a look and switch it off.

What happens if you shoot 50fps on 4k 10 bit mode? Doesn't the 4k auto change to apc mode? What happens
if you leave on full frame and not choose apc. This can be forgetful for some people. Thanks
If you choose 50fps in 4k 10bit, the sensor will automatically be cropped.
@@KwasnikPictures thanks. How do you know how much time is left on the sd card when recording video? there is no counter ? on image mode it tells me how many shot i have left. On video i cannot see time remaining? Only a 30 min countdown every time i press record.
@@dj-7154 That's because in 10bit there is a 30 minute limit for each clip. If you switch to a different mode that doesn't have the 30min limit, you'll see the full recording time.
@@KwasnikPictures if im on 10 bit and have 10 min left, will it display 10 min time remaining ? 8 bit this works as you mentioned.

The lens you recommended is LUMIX S PRO 24-70mm F2.8 L-Mount? It's $2200!
That's definitely the best one to get, as native mount will give you best autofocus. But I am currently using the 24-70 2.8 from Sigma, its also L-Mount but more budget friendly.

@@bradleyjpaolucci I never really used autofocus on the Sigma lens. I always go for manual focus, autofocus on the sigma works well enough in photo mode, but in standard 25fps video I wouldn't use it. I do use autofocus from time to time with the Lumix 20-60 Lens, and it works surprisingly well.

When you're in movie mode, go to the menu, Image format 1 (3rd one down in the video settings) and change the region from PAL to NTSC. 👊🎥💯

When you have a lens that can do autofocus, that's where you change the Autofocus Speed and Autofocus Sensitivity settings. So you can speed up the autofocus a bit with those.
