Strictly speaking, this is untrue just based on statistics. Crime, especially violent crime, has spiked since the plandemic, but it still remains lower than it was during the 70s, 80s, and early 90s. Especially when compared to the crack epidemic. You were merely sheltered from this awareness, particularly in the pre-internet era, whereas today you are not. Loneliness in general is higher than has ever been recorded. Many people describe it as “being alone in a crowd”.

I've been a subscriber to your channel for a while and one thing I have learned from your videos is that there is absolutely no limit to the level of selfishness, narcissism, immaturity, arrogance, greed, sense of entitlement and total contempt for others which some people will stoop to.
I waa thinking Narcissistic for most of this video, so glad it appeared in the last minute. Self-entitled, lying about everything, creating false appearance of success, on and on.
The problem with that is they can't make money to pay restitution while in jail. Jail also has a corruptive nature to it which does far more harm than good. A better approach would be to give the defendant 90 days to find a legitimate job. They must maintain employment and regular monthly restitution payments to the victims or they will then go to jail. This would actually help to rehabilitate them by forcing them into some level of stability. Regular drug testing as well, including weed even if it's legal where they live. Folks like this guy would more than likely go with the program and get his life back together. Wack job on the other hand would never last and end up back in jail. My ex was a compulsive liar, always was, always will be. You're never going to 'fix' these sort people. The reality is we are what we are and what we're most likely to always be.
@@marcseclecticstuff9497 I guess there's never a perfect solution that works 100% of the time, huh? My previous situations were with minors where the judges ordered restitution. I learned the hard way in MN that they put the burden of tracking the offenders on the victim but don't even tell them up front. So once they're released, poof, it's really out of the GT's hands and you are screwed. I unfortunately had 2 cars stolen and even with them finding the thieves, the courts didn't do justice. I was truly struggling at the time and some how the judges and the laws saw the victims vs. justice for me. With situations like that it's too bad our system wouldn't provide me with a free attorney as a law abiding taxpayer and property owner. The juvenile thieves were lucky that morning that my preschool age daughter dressed in her snow gear had to go potty at the last minute, otherwise our baby boy would've already been strapped in the back seat and Got only knows what would've happened to him.
Dr. Grande mentions the effect this had on their families. What was not mentioned was how much trouble you go through when your identity is stolen. It takes years to straighten things out. I think this caused more trouble for the victims than for the families.
That is not a bad salary for an entry level position at 24 years of age. However, renting an apartment in Philly at $3,000/mo. is $36,000/yr. That is 55% of his gross pay. Without the ability to stick to a household budget, student loan payments, new cars and comprehensive auto insurance, breast enhancement surgeries and healthcare, dental work, eye and hair care, expensive trips, utilities, new clothes, etc., things could get dicey. To be clear, I am being sarcastic when I say, "How could they survive without stealing?"
The sentences do seem light for both of them, the impact of theft , which has happened to me and fraud to a family member really shakes you up and gives you anxiety, it’s not a victimless crime . I do think it’s possible to feel complete remorse and rehabilitate from this crime however, and yes it does seem that the catalyst was meeting Jocelyn .
Can a dyed-in-the-wool narcissist, like Jocelyn, have empathy pathways that enable bidirectional love or is someone who loves a narcissist singularly doomed to unrequited love?
It’s amazing how different the booking mugshots look from the photos of them living the high life. I’m surprised they avoided federal tax evasion charges.
White collar crime is rarely punished to any real extent, it doesn't even hamper their careers, as many corporations like hiring corrupt people. If they had to pay back the money they stole, then such crime would be stopped!
I was thinking, as Dr. Grande was listing all of Jocelyn’s lies about speaking 11 languages and being an Olympic level pole vaulter, that she’s exactly the type of person who falsely claims she has cancer in order to gain attention from friends and family…but at least she didn’t stoop that low. But then, in the next sentence, I hear she DID falsely claim to have ovarian cancer!🤦🏻♀️ Ok, she’s officially the absolute worst of the worst.
I googled both. Edward Anderton is actually currently a business manager at a PNW consulting firm and has gotten married. His resume didn't sound shabby after his imprisonment, he's worked for Microsoft at one point too.
Yeah. Most corporations love to have corrupt thieves working for them, and judges tend to be quite sympathetic, being prone to various schemes themselves.
Imagine working two jobs and doing everything in your power to ensure your child gets a good education and the chance at a bright future - and then realizing he ended up making a living as a full-time criminal stealing from neighbours and friends, and defrauding countless people. I would be utterly heartbroken.
The crime aside, what strikes me is how cheap everything was back then! Only 3K for a luxury apartment? 65K a year is poverty now actually, in all seriousness. The current state of the economy is really sad and devastating
This woman like so many others held the golden key to wealth and success. She just lacked the mental intelligence to know how to put the key in the locked door.
I had a colleague who was intelligent, eloquent, informed, knowledgeable - and a klepto, as the rest of us found out soon after he started working with us. It seems like a paradox, but intelligence just doesn't trump this desire to take what's not theirs. They see the world differently. I remember we were once in the office and he noticed a US passport left on someone's desk. His first reaction was, "That'd be worth a bit!" Who thinks like that? Sly as a rat.
Disorder or a bad behavior? If you do anything enough times, it becomes a habit. Bad company corrupts good company. No excuse! So many people have horrible upbringing and learn to be the opposite. We all know right from wrong.
Dr., You can't be more right about narcissism's contagious nature. Learnt from personal experience, thought I have been the only one thinking narcissism as contagious. I was being treated by a relative with narcissist traits but I warned myself that if I treated back that relative the same way, I would be a narcissist too. I told the relative that she/he has narcissist traits and it has contagious effect on others. She/he deflected it onto high neuroticism. I reduced the contact time for years, in hope she/he gain some insights, which never happened. NP(D) is powerful.
As unlikely as that is (1 in 10,000) it's less likely than "we must have switched cards." How would that ever happen? But people are dumb. Even so called smart people.
That sounds like an awful lot of work and a full-time job just to swindle over 100 K. If he had applied himself in the corporate world, he would've made well over that in a single year all legally. Idiots
Defense lawyers will claim anything in order to get their clients off the hook. Extravagant living, stealing, and identity theft are not characteristics of PTSD.
I think you covered it perfectly. Its something for me to say that as i find psychiatrists and psychologists to be a varied bunch of people in their value to society.
Ages ago I went to college with a girl just like Jocelyn. She was beautiful, came from a well do to family, was instantly a member of the "best" sorority and stole because she liked doing it and even bragged about it. I was appalled that she somehow justified it because she liked stealing. No clue how she ended up but I doubt her future was what her parents envisioned. I don't think either Jocelyn or Edward got enough time in jail. They destroyed the ability to trust people for a huge number of people including friend and relatives and you can't count that in dollars.

I love Dr. Grande's sense of humor lmao
I live a block away from where they lived...glad not in the same building.
My sister in law stole from me. How low can you go. I could not prove it. I detest this woman and all thieves.
Very good commentary Dr. Grande. This story should be turned into a movie.
These people should not be let out ever … 100 percent they will do it again
I love the format of this channel. It really scratches my east coast sarcasm itch.
I've been a subscriber to your channel for a while and one thing I have learned from your videos is that there is absolutely no limit to the level of selfishness, narcissism, immaturity, arrogance, greed, sense of entitlement and total contempt for others which some people will stoop to.
AND...another enticing title drops, let's go Dr. Grande‼️
ALL THAT and so little time served. It's a shank to the soul of poor criminals😢
I waa thinking Narcissistic for most of this video, so glad it appeared in the last minute. Self-entitled, lying about everything, creating false appearance of success, on and on.
... but not exceedingly creepy ...
Massive scumbags!
Judges should always order restitution to their victims plus years in jail and mandated actual rehabilitation before allowing them to be released.
the woman sounds aspd/psychopathic and probably can't be rehabilitated.
I remember these people. It was a big deal in Philly area.
Yeah, like there isn't worse things going on in Philly.
@@25Soupy I guess those things aren't interesting enough.
Neither got enough prison time
Well, who are you to judge anyone?
@ shameronstar7220 I think anyone who hasn’t stolen from innocent people is 1000000% entitled to judge these people.
@@nyc1087 Don't act self-righteous. No one is perfect and you have dirt on your hands and skeletons in your closet too.
@@shameronstar7220 They put us on juries to judge so there's that. No self-righteousness. It is just justice/judging
@@shameronstar7220 I'm GigiRulesTheRoost! I can judge all day and all night if I want to, thank you very much. lol
One of the few who really benefit from narcissistic personality disorder... neverending content for dr grande
Dr. Grande mentions the effect this had on their families. What was not mentioned was how much trouble you go through when your identity is stolen. It takes years to straighten things out. I think this caused more trouble for the victims than for the families.
This was posted 13 minutes ago. Over 1K views, 100+ likes and 16 comments. Quite impressive.
Two thieves meet in the night the rest is legend. Thanks Dr. Grande.
You’ve been analyzed!!
Or at least speculated about!

You face at the Olympic pole vaulting team part made me crack up.
I can’t love your set enough. It’s so soothing 🌵❤️
the way he said "making ALMOST $65000" a year made me laugh out loud.

@@nanettevantriesteharder2469 it wasn’t the amount that made me laugh. It was the “almost” lol.
20 years ago that was a great salary in most places.
I was not familiar with this case.
Thank you for your analysis, Dr. Grande!
I much prefer the mugshots to the social media pics. The true suffering of reality shows through in the best possible way.
I'm always amazed by how much different the beautiful women look in the mugshots!
Thank you, Dr. Cactus. Another great video.
Ed was a 'bit fake.' Jocelyn was an 'Olympic pole vaulter.'
How did you do that?😂
Great line.
She liked vaulting 'poles'😂
I bet she vaulted a pole alright.
Yeah lmao wtf is that
Cookie points for this excellent level of consistency, dr Grande. =)
Greetings to all fellow listeners from the Baltics.
Greetings from Nevada.
All of life's advantages mean nothing if one's instinct is to steal.
I dunno who these people are. But, Dr. Grande gives me the daily gossip! ❤😂
It’s amazing how different the booking mugshots look from the photos of them living the high life. I’m surprised they avoided federal tax evasion charges.
I wonder what their jail time would have been like if they were a poor?
And POC.
@@chocolatethunder192they lived in Philly…
They got off real easy. Why? They are highly untrustworthy.
White collar crime is rarely punished to any real extent, it doesn't even hamper their careers, as many corporations like hiring corrupt people.
If they had to pay back the money they stole, then such crime would be stopped!
His eyes went waaaay to the side when saying "just speculating about what could be happening in a situation like this.." they must've been nuts!
Dr. Grande’s side eye game is pro status.
Pulls the side eye kinda elegantly..
They are 2 scumbags they are NOT PAYING THE PRICE of their errors.
It is a bunch of bullsh*t.
White collar crime isn’t the same as street crime, that’s why nothing happened. Just the way it goes
Nothing like a cup of coffee in the morning and one of Dr. Todd Grande's videos to start the day ☕
You have stolen my comment 😉
This woman sounds like a full-blown psychopath, not just a narcissist.
@@bluedistortions reminds me of Frank Abignale from Catch me if you can.
Imagine working two jobs and doing everything in your power to ensure your child gets a good education and the chance at a bright future - and then realizing he ended up making a living as a full-time criminal stealing from neighbours and friends, and defrauding countless people. I would be utterly heartbroken.
Another cautionary tale to learn from.
Thanks Dr. Grande.
This story reminded me of Better Call Saul where he and his girlfriend Kim start pulling scams on people
Entitled sums it up very well. Thanks for reviewing this case. He stopped. She will keep on.
Wow! Unbelievable lack of empathy. Psychopaths.
You mean how to open an OnlyFans account 🙂
They got away way too easily. Obviously the judicial system discriminates according to social class 🤢
She sounds like she's one step away from being a psychopath.... definitely dangerous.
One step away? She sounds like a full blown psychopath.
It took a lot of shady work to get that cash. Then they buy jewelry. How fncking stupid.
She was probably a nympho
Sounds like they just missed their true calling for politics.
Astounding. Great job, as usual, Dr. Grande!
How dumb to believe their pin numbers were the same! 🙄
As unlikely as that is (1 in 10,000) it's less likely than "we must have switched cards." How would that ever happen?
But people are dumb. Even so called smart people.
🎃Dr. Grande, getting about time to see Amy's Halloween decorations, yes?!👻
She cant stop! lord
That sounds like an awful lot of work and a full-time job just to swindle over 100 K. If he had applied himself in the corporate world, he would've made well over that in a single year all legally. Idiots
The shot of their apartment building, looks very similar to the cover of Led Zeppelin's "Physical Graffiti" album
Just goes to show - you can't trust anyone!
So true.
But your honor, all this theft from friends and neighbors is caused by PTSD!
3:20, they didn’t forget to celebrate St Pats though.
I loved the “bad hair day” comment lol. Jocelyn needs to quit wanting stuff. All of this for what, for things that don’t even matter.
Thank you for the great coverage here.
