- This time I will show you how to install FSR 3.0 Frame Generation Mod by LukeFZ for Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition on Steam Deck SteamOS with Uniscaler Preview 8.

Better off I can already tell you from the video and from my own testing with the mod this does not work
For whatever reason half the frames are missing when you use the DLSS FG toggle (prob broken mod I don’t know tbh)
However when you force the mod without the FG toggle it does in fact work however this results in the ghosting UI
Anyway just wait for official FG or I could drop my settings here if your ok with 30fps

Can you do comparisons to FSR 2.1 and FSR 3/3.1 when it releases, as that difference is the most important on games for me personally.
How much better is the image quality and FPS in Horizon Zero Dawn with this mod in comparison to it's native 2.1 for example over its native resolution without FSR is more important.
As most games have 2.1 already. Or can you not use 2.1 when you have the mod installed?
Honestly I'm not technical enough to do that type of comparison.

I don't know how popular this opinion but I actually like this game more than zero Dawn a lot. Does game basically improved on everything zero Dawn and Aloy is actually an interesting character in this one. I haven't play The dlc mainly since I'm not really a fan of what I've heard mainly the fact that Aloy now in a relationship which I don't like for her character but also because I just haven't had the time.
Honestly I haven't even completed the first one 😂

I just dont know WHY do I get the ui flickering in this title only with FG on and not on other ones??
For me when I have FG on it doesn't flicker like in the video. Maybe you FG is not actually working?

Yes it works on heroic and lutris as well
@@GrownUpGamingGUG Thanks Man , It worked however I used the Environment variable thing instead in order of putting the command (since this command only works in steam but is similar and easier in EV). Also , when I applied the Mod , XeSS gave me more Fps with same settings compared to FSR 2.1 , Idk if its intended or a bug .
@@crisswalter6148 it's good to try out different upscalers. Because the mod decouples upscaler and frame generation so you can try out different combos.
What difference between last version of regular mode (10.4) and Uniscaler? Old one much easier to install...
I think uniscaler is easier now because you don't need to check which version of fsr the game uses now and use the respective mod like 220, 210, 200 or SDK.
Older one was much easier to install for me too. I had LukeFZ 10.4 working in Control, Horizon Zero Dawn, and Horizon Forbidden West , but Uniscaler I didn't have time to get working. Updating the to the new config file didn't seem to work so I just stuck with the old one. I heard from others that ghosting may be better, but for me all frame gen games worked fine. I'm on an amd 6000 series gpu. I really just want xess 1.3 so optiscaler is nice. Again it was a bit much to get working. dlsstofsr3 by LukeFZ was my favourite as it was quick to install and get back to my limited gaming time.
Did you see that they got spiderman 2 to run on pc? How is that possible if its only on ps5?
A bunch of developers from Brazil got the leaked assets and made a working build to run on pc. I even got it to work on steam deck, I have a video about it ua-cam.com/video/HiNXDNQBWMY/v-deo.html

Have you ever used Uniscaler with a game installed using Bottles? I run the game but it doesn't generate the uniscaler.config file
Did you do WINEDLLOVERRIDES with winmm.dll?
@@GrownUpGamingGUGThe custom launch options didn't work for me but I just discovered there is a dedicated menu in Bottles for DLL overrides. I added winmm there and it worked!

When i follow your tutorial on my steamdeck, i get the "there is no videocard detected for this pc" warning. When clicking OK, i see the "your videocard amd vangogh is supported" and when pressing ok, and i go to settings , the option frame generation is still greyed out
I think it's because you're using the steam version. When I was testing with LukeFZ for preview 3, the issue was fixed and it worked for steam version and non-steam version. But maybe it broke other things for windows so I think LukeFZ reverted it in later versions.

Hey GrownUp. I did the Witcher 3 dlss enable, using your hogwarts and witcher 3 videos. All there in setting 60gps on but the is bad input lag when moving Geralt. Any idea whats up. All help appreciated ma man
I'm playing on PC with an AMD graphics card and I don't know why the game crashes with preview 8 but works fine with preview 7

@@sonnyy4303 but then that's not arriving fsr 3. I guess you are using fsr 2.2 and frame generation. Better than having nothing at all.

Tried at last in February and most games doesnt work really good, but it still was cool.

Dolphin? Is that what you're asking?
Try the good old Total Commander. Dual window file manager like the ones on Amiga in 1980's and 1990's.
I always used that one on PC, Phone and Tablet.

This is a bad example of it, from my own testing using the toggle like this does not work (at the very least not with HFW)
Okay that game really looks bad on the steam deck holy moly hase some PS2 vibes to it
It's 720p and going through my capture card. on the steam deck screen it's better.
@@GrownUpGamingGUG just completed the game yesterday on the deck, its very much playable and looks fine.

@@GrownUpGamingGUG i completed the first one on my PC back when it came out but this is so interesting.
but fyi, the burning shores DLC is at times just plain bad on the deck, a few areas particularly in that DLC make the deck struggle.
There is not a single game that this mod actually works for me with. I don't get it.

I can turn on dlss but not fg
I’m playing on the latest version 1.4.59
i think it doesn't work on steam version anymore. before it did with preview 3 but now i think it's been reverted. i don't have the steam version to test it out.
