what you can also do is set elden ring to 30 fps using your GPU control panel then use Lossless to have constant 60 FPS, this allows you to use way higher video settings and you get less/no FPS drops. It also feels less buggy than going beyond 60 FPS, sometimes it feels weird or glitchy.
Going beyond feels buggy only if you unlock FPS in Elden Ring itself. Lossless scaling doesn't affect the game engine, it's basically an overlay. Since elden is locked to 60 anyway, if you can get stable 60 you can get 120 FPS with Lossless making it really smooth. Your method works if he wants to go with higher settings on 30 ,scaled to 60.
What he is doing is cheating if he plays online lmao. It doesn't looks super great because it's native 60 fps. Lmao
30 fps then using lossless scaling for 60 fps whenever i try that method but its really smooth on the screen however the input feels heavy where when u use actual 60 fps the game feels lighter
I just started using this program, and it's pretty amazing. Being able to get the smoothness of 120 fps AND able to play online without a mod is great. The only issue is that you can't use HDR in Windowed mode.
great app! my pc kinda fluctuates from 50-60 so with scaling it's more like 100-120, feels mega smooth, with everything on high settings

Yea youtube videos can only be at 60 FPS max so its impossible to see anything more than that even if the FPS is higher in a game.

I use both riva tuner statistics and msi afterburner to get the monitoring. You can look up different videos if you wanna learn how to set it up
hey, quick question does the FG itself change the visuals? i mean like, some games when they have built in FG, you have to turn on DLSS to make it work so the visual are changed a bit because of the DLSS, but in this case have you notice any different when you only use the FG? or is it same as the built in FG that you have to turn on the scalling to make the FG work?

From the games I've tested the FG which is squad, this, and battlefield 2042 the visuals were all the same to me but another youtuber Daniel Owen made a similar video testing the FG in cyberpunk and did notice a visual change. But I think it would vary game to game and person to person.

Mostly depends on the game, In Elden Ring it works freaking awesome, some assassin's creeds too especially 2,3
@@Eh1se yes! i just bought it few days ago along with Elden Ring on Steam, i can't go back now XD, i was afraid it'll be like Dragon's Dogma 2 where DD2 has built in FG but i have to turn on DLSS to make it work, so the visual are very blurry because of the DLSS. But i tried Lossless Scaling on Elden Ring without the Scalling, and turns out it is very amazing to have FG without DLSS, 😭 and i can watch anime in 60 fps aswell with this software, 🤣
Damn,it seems like its working for everyone expect me..I tried capping fps to 30 and then setting x2 generation option(i have rx580 4gb so its a bit older card) and i gain like 10-20fps which is not that noticable but my screen is tearing especially when i move the camera.My monitor is older too,1366x768 60hz so maybe thats the problem..
what games are you trying to play with this?

you need to turn on default instead of allow tearing
Sadly it does nothing for the RTX 4070 TI. Last year I had a mod to just unlock the framerate and it was all good. Now I can't even get a
stable 60 fps in Limgrave. Haven't touched the game for a while and still looking to get my fps back up over 100 at least :(
This should work on every GPU make sure the game is borderless or windowed not Fullscreen and everything should work you can even select your gpu in the app to make sure the app uses it.
@@zzsmooth I have the game in borderless windowed. The scaling options work just fine but the frame generation does not :(

@@zzsmooth Just Elden Ring for now really. I kinda hate it because the fps was fine when the game was released with a simple framerate unlocker.
Make sure you don't have your fps capped on nvidia settings, background fps.
How much would fps would i get on 1080p max while streaming through obs (no capture card) (4060 refrence)
I have no idea to be honest. The game sometimes drop from 60 on my 3070 although i play at 1440p but if it can't hold the 60 at max you would just have to lower settings a little.
With other games you have a risk of being banned, if there’s no info on chances using this, I’d suggest disabling anti-cheat
idk potentially but it doesn't edit or change any of the game files like mods do its just an overlay that is put over the top of games to make them appear smoother
@@zzsmooth yeah I use it for star citizen, well used to.. now the game boots me the moment I enable it.
Haven’t heard anything to state it’ll get us banned yet, but I’ve disabled anti-cheat anyway, just incase
I agree it’s still up in the air about bans for this software. Some anti-cheats are so aggressive they’ll trip if CheatEngine or such is running even if not actively hooked into the game. Sucks this could happen for innocent software.

That's just some of the side affects of using frame generation especially using a program that doesn't get any data from the game. Some games it is not as noticeable but others games it is very noticeable. Make sure your framerate is 30+ if your resolution is at 1080p and 40+ if your resolution is 1440p. I'm not sure if there's ways to mitigate the ghosting or not.
the less frames you got to start with the more apparent it will be
Try only use the upscaling only like fsr, don't use frame generation

Is this safe to use with online mode?
It should work fine with the majority of games I’ve only tested it with elden ring, squad, and battlefield 2042 (all online) and had no issues at all. If there was an issue you would probably just not be able to load the game with it enabled I highly doubt anyone would get banned for it
Assuming you're asking if it's possible to get banned in online games, the answer is no. This doesn't inject anything into the game, so it's safe.

@@nonebasics5710 Of course. It's not good in competitive games like shooters though, since there you need the least delay. And these are "fake" frames that only serve as a smoothing tool.
@@nonebasics5710 I tried playing online in both Elden Ring and The Finals which both uses EAC. Not banned so far.

Every GPU should work but enabling it does having a lil performance hit like 10 fps from what I’ve seen so you might need to lower settings to get a stable FPS. For example with it enabled and using medium settings you get 30 fps so with it enabled you may have to drop some settings down to low because the fps will drop down to 20 or so but the game will still feel smoother with it enabled

You could use the scaling instead of Anti aliasing or with it although i haven't done it but in theory it makes games look sharper and depending on which you use (fsr or nvidia's) would make things look better or worse
@@zzsmooth test cas bicubic man it looks amazing i tryed it on cyberpunk it is amazing it looks sharper ( but not "fake" like those slider in dlss/fsr ) and it runs so well
