30 years into their musical career, Impellitteri have created a mind blowing, highly energetic, and thrilling new musical adventure with THE NATURE OF THE BEAST. The band is on fire with their musical acrobatics, addictive riffs, shredding guitar solos, speed metal drumming, and screaming power metal vocals that are all ingredients in these killer songs!
Like many of their talented peers, Impellitteri continue to carry the torch for guitar driven heavy metal. On “The Nature of the Beast”, the band shines throughout, especially on songs like the power metal driven “Run For Your Life”, the highly energetic remake of Black Sabbath’s “Symptom Of The Universe”, the lunacy of “Gates of Hell”, the addictive riff of “Hypocrisy”, and the speed metal cover of “Phantom Of The Opera”. “The new music was written with passion and a sincere love for heavy metal,” tells Chris Impellitteri. "I think as a band we grow stronger with each new album. Our artistic abilities seem to get better with age, but at the same time we seem to sound even more energetic, crazy, and youthful with this release. You could say the music on this newest musical child is an extension of our previous record "Venom". I love the "Venom" record, but I am currently obsessed by "The Nature of The Beast". We are thrilled to share this new music with our FANS and friends around the world and I really hope they like it!”
Impellitteri recorded THE NATURE OF THE BEAST in Los Angeles, California with legendary engineer/ producer Mike Plotnikoff (Van Halen, Aerosmith, In Flames), mix engineer Greg Reely (Overkill, Fear Factory, Impellitteri), and engineers Jun Murakawa and Sean Shannon.
Like their childhood musical heroes including Vivaldi, Iron Maiden, Queen, Black Sabbath, Al DiMeola, Paco de Lucia, John McLaughlin, and Pavarotti, Impellitteri strive for greatness - creating, performing and recording this new music with all four band members, Chris Impellitteri (guitars), Rob Rock (vocals), James Pulli (bass), and Jon Dette (drums) contributing stellar performances. The album was recorded in a grand fashion using large tracking rooms and vintage analog equipment to capture the bands live musical energy and performance.
"As a guitarist I challenge myself to conquer my human limitations,” continues Chris. "I practice for hours each day to improve my technique. I also spend a lot of time customizing my guitars, amps, and pedals to achieve this crazy guitar sound. On this new record my guitar sound is really me trying to create a tone that sounds a bit like a chainsaw blended with a beautiful Stradivarius violin. It is Beauty and the Beast with lots of pick attack! The guitar solos have lots of technical shredding elements, but at the same time they are very melodic and I think fun for everyone to listen too. The riffs are also exciting for me to play as there is a lot of obvious influences that I brought to this new record."
The band will head out in support of the album with dates to be announced in the coming months.

Let's be honest here for a moment. The Phantom of the Opera is a challenge for ANY vocalist to sing well. I'm terribly biased after hearing Nightwish cover this one so well all those years ago on their album Century Child. Rob Rock's vocals are as scorching as ever, Chris Impellitteri just shreds like no one else can, the bass and drums just scream through the speakers like a cacophony of sonic thunder. This is one of the better covers I've ever heard of this iconic tune. Fabulous job boys!
Paul DiAnno year 1980
@@markovisic7244 Never liked DiAnno much, vocally very good, but the colour of the voice on live recordings...idk, not quite there.
This is the best version of that song.
Yeah man of course about cacophony sounds...
I myself prefer Nightwish's version. And their vocalists.
One of the very few guitarist both technically and melodically capable of spearheading the return of shred metal.
Rob Rock's mask is so Crimson Glory circa 1988. LOVE it!
Mind blistering guitars, scorching vocals from Rob Rock and huge bass lines from James Pulli!
The riffs, it's melting my FACE!!
Impellitteri, Masters of the Masters.
Chris Impelliteri, Grande ente los grandes, MAESTRO !
I saw this video before seeing Nightwish and I must confess that some notes are an improvement, the excesive drums are completely Impelliteri style, vocals are impressive, the frantic guitar is really what you expect from a shredder, now ot is during the whole song which makes it really over the top, the speed on every instrument is pretty cool.
Even the basslines are interesting, on the other hand this seems to be purpousely making a tribute of Alcatraz on one hand on the other hand they took the base of Nightwish and addapted it to their style which includes the pedal abuse.
Chris is super clean on the alt picking that is his improvement he is not going to change his strato or start to immitate animal as leaders, this is what this music is, powerful, fast, melodic, abusive solos, shred, typical stratocaster sound, high pitch notes, energetic drums relentless bass, this is it.
Now definitely the original has fantastic moments specially on live, keyboards and speed are different which this type of style does not use, the Yngwie comparisons seem to be in rivalry while Chris is obviously a fan or at least is influenced by Y.
People think they know too much while forgetting these people are pros who understand what is their identity, who chose this song on purpouse and who tried to make it in this particular way, most likely people commpare with the original and with Yngwie while this is the band take on it, so I think many people are not listening to the song correctly and need to let it grow.
The actrees was such a bae also, there is that.
Chris is a MONSTER. This album rips from start to finish. I’m also a huge fan of Crunch. I really hope he tours the states, I’d love to see them.
What an amazing version! So epic with Rob Rocks vocals!
Most guitarists stop at their prime.
No matter how famous they became and how much money they swept away.
They will still be called legends, but they rarely make beautiful music again.
He has already left an unforgettable mark in history with albums such as [Screaming Symphony], [Eye of Hurricane] and [Venom].
Isn't that enough Chris? I'm so jealous.
He was obviously blessed by God. It can only be explained that way.
Best version all time !!!
This is my go-to medicine for.....fkin anything. How are they not more known i cannot understand. They easily rub shoulders with any of the giants of the era or the genre!
Because Americans have been brainwashed into thinking that there has to be growly demonic vocals to be called heavy metal. And they like rap/hip-hop crap! Sad commentary on my fellow countrymen.
HAS ALWAYS BEEN AN HEIR TO THE CROWN (crown is in the top ten) of all time ....and he's just maturing like a fine wine a true maestro
Bad ass! The guitar playing bring this song alive!
Cómo hace este señor para cantar igual que hace 20 años, es un monstruo
Un excelente guitarrista
Rob Rock is a top5 vocalist of all time!!!
Who are the other 4?
The voice of melodic power metal. Poderosa voz y toda la banda son geniales 😎
That's why he is the best.Great job guys.
Rob singing, reminds me a little of Dio mixed with King Diamond ... powerful voice !!
Tremendo cover... Excelente tema de la banda....
No disrespect to Yngwie & I've seen him open up for Dio, but I got to go with Chris in regards with his chops & his diversity.
you mean more than 3 hours of straight phrygian dominant :))) ?
@@BannerOfBlasfemy and you go to yngwie for harmonic minor for 6 minutes.....21 century chicken picking forever....
@@pzdipuing
Check out some old Helstar.
Malmsreen means only one thing, harmonic minor. Chris on the otherhand, incorporated his vast majority of styles in his playing, listen to his record 'system x', that style is unearthly.
United by the Metal
I really enjoyed this cover, not your standard cover. Impellitteri puts their flare on it and knocks it out of the park.
Wow. Mindblowing. Respect!!!
Why aren't these guys and acts like them playing halftime at the Super Bowl? It's much more entertaining.
Because this is art , and I guess it would a menace for the money making garbage that they call music , if the big audience knew about this they would never consume their trash.
@Younes Khallad sadly if people knew they'd still purchase the garbage and watch it. Impelliteri would be an awesome half time act. Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers put on a great half time show. That's the last time I watched a half time show.
Why people compare is beyond me. Take it for what it is. Excellent.
You got Munchausens!
Killer song and finally Impellitteri is back!!!
I see idiots comparing Impeleterri to malmsteen thinking that Chris is better than Yngwie. Ask any professional guitar player to choose between the 2. At best you will find 5% of them choosing Chris over Yngwie. Yngwie is a legend who has influenced 90% of the rock shredders on this planet while most of the people haven't heard of Impelliteri. Even Chris recognised that Yngiwe had an influence on his technics and tone. On a I side note, I have to mention that I was an Yngwie fan. I like his early stuff which was phenomenal. But I can't stand his playing today: it's too repetitive and robotic. He simply got lazy and stopped reinventing himself. Sad...
Melhor solo de guitarra que eu já vi
Esse Chris arrebenta! hehe
Banda muito legal. Vocal nota 10. Som de primeira.
Rob Rock killed it on this one. Even a bit of Dio homage at 3:05. Love everything he sings, just awesome. So is Chris!
PVに出てくるオヤジで「魔太郎がくる!」のマスターを思い出したw
I remembered the master of "Matarou comes!"
Essa versão ficou maravilhosa
Sick shredding as always... powerful vocals as usual from Rob Rock. This band is the bomb.
Rob Rock e Impellitteri detonam sempre. Abraços do Brasil.
Impellitteri for ever !
Oh hell yeah they need groups like them to be playing at the Super Bowl
Amazing!
Totally slaying that guitar, is it still alive?
That's the beauty of the instrument. If you kill a guitar, it just becomes immortal and comes back stronger.
WOW! ITS REALLY AWESOME!
Where has this been all my life?
Amazing as always!
This is the best version of this song.
This the perfect line up! Speed kills!!
WOW... Impellitteri rules \m/
You are the best metal band! Keep it up!
I taught Chris everything he knows!
WOW! This is mind blowing! I wanna see this band do their version of Into The Unknown of Frozen 2. That song is really a great song to turn into metal.
Бог шреда превзошел сам себя! Необычный кавер, красивый клип и потрясающе красивая музыка!
swietny videoclip oraz super piosenka oraz wspanialy zespol impellitteri
La guitarra resulta excesiva en muchos fraseos. No se trata de tocar 200.000 notas todo el tiempo... La voz sensacional eso si....
The new record is awesome!!! I first heard about it in Guitar World magazine :)
Amazing line up. Amazing guitar work.
Chris is a beast everyone compares him to malmsteen but I feel he can play faster and cleaner than him personally
I feel like any comparisons between the two are surface level. Chris and Yngwie have very different styles, yet are both big deep purple fans.
If only this was drag racing..
Yngwie is better. His songs and instrumentals are more memorable, and his vibrato and bending is much better.
Impellitteri is a great player, but Malmsteen is legendary.
This guy will only ever be a poor copy of YJM which is nothing much to write home about.
@@tonypowell250 I beg to differ on that one. All Yngwie's shit sounds the same, but Chris's sounds fresh album to album!
Rob And Chris what a team! these guys are amazing. been a fan of Rob's since the 80s.
Impelliteri nunca decepcióna
Genial impellitteri 🔊🇲🇽
WOW super impressive!! 🤘🤘👨🎤👨🎤👨🎤
while it is unchanged from the past style he did, never before has his picking been so clean
I love Impellitteri.
Add Impellitteri to any "G3" tour and I'm there.
Ficou fodástico!!!!!!
the best 👍👍
Now thats how you flog a guitar, just unreal man.
Just incredible...!!!
Impeliteri gran banda saludos desde #uruguay
Hola provinciano!
Chriss beign a GOD like he has always been
grande Impellitteri!!!!
Wow! Love this as much as NightShades version. This is one musical theatre song that always works in the Rock vocals genre.
Fantastic!!
Great job, rock on🤘
Aguante el metal neoclásico 🎸🎻🎹🎧
Eddie's gone, at least we still got Chris
The Phantom of Shred!!!
Great job Chris...
Cant have enough phantom of the opera covers
Perfect Classic
My hero of rock
chrisssssssssssssssssssss impelliteriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
Brutal! 🤘🔥🤘🔥👏👏👏👏
Truly Epic !
tremendo!!!!
While I am a BIG fan of this song simply because of the Ax grinding alone, and the vocals are superb, However, the song works better as a male/female duet. I mean if they could have found someone to do the female vocals on this the song would be perfect. Good effort thought. well done guys, thanks for sharing.
I agree that the song at less than 5 minutes could be extended for another version ..
Allow me to suggest a female lead for the part that is more than capable ..
Do you know of which one I speak of?
ua-cam.com/video/A3BLEFkQGpg/v-deo.html
Thats not not the only song from there ! there were lots of nice moments thats are missing to be covered. Compraring to the whole, this is not just one-sided - its just 1/64 legged
Banda otima
Wow that was so awesome 🎵
In alcuni tratti qui Impellitteri supera il solito shredding neoclassico per accostarsi ad un fraseggio che ricorda Shawn Lane.
Grande Rob rock
Ficou animal.
so cool❗️
Killer!
Best metal cover of this song to date?
Also, Chris is probably the best alternate picker of all time.
That Rock sing BOTH parts of beauty and beast!
Who else does that? (who else can?)
Amoooo!!!
AWESOME VERSION!
sleep he sang to me in dreams he came
That voice which calls to me and speaks my name
(Speaks my name)
And do I dream again? (Dream) For now I find
The phantom of the opera is there, inside my mind
Sing once again with me, our strange duet
Your power over me, grows stronger yet
And though I turn from you, to glance behind
The phantom of the opera is there, inside my mind
Those who have seen your face, draw back in fear
I am the mask you wear, it’s me they hear (Me they hear)
Your spirit and my voice in one combined (One combined)
The phantom of the opera is there, in my mind
In all your fantasies, you always knew
That man and mystery were both in you
And in this labyrinth, where night is blind
The phantom of the opera is there, inside my mind
There the phantom of the opera
Sing for me
Sing forever!
Daaayum
