It's refreshing and so much fun to experience bc you don't simply "watch" her perform, whether in videos or live. No, you experience it.

I think people do know this. Most people are excited for her. For example, I’d heard this before and when Vanya started playing it in the show it made me excited to hear it again. Came straight to UA-cam. Found a lot of people doing the same.
I don't mean to interject, but Gaston Leroux actually wrote the book in 1910, Lon Chaney played the phantom in 1925, and the real original film entitled Das Phantom der Oper came out in 1916, starring Nils Olaf Chrisander as the Phantom. I used to play the violin too, when I was 14. Now I'm 19 and she has inspired me so much that I wanna play again! I wish I can play like her someday, what with the dancing and the outfits and the musical melodies. It's all very inspiring!
@@Blind-Ghost-1980 I had completely forgotten about this, and the timing is spot-on. Unfortunately my studies caught up to me, and I haven't touched my violin in about 3 years now. However, just recently I've been strongly considering taking it up again and to me this is a sign I should.
The violin in the moment where all is calm and nobody will tell you you exist. It´s the sound and your feelings taking place. And then, all starts; or almost, continue. You are here to be prevented for all the indiference and bad vybes. You can shine, but...first, analize if that is the best process. No.. It´s better to know how we can help others... I just want to be in a calm and silent place where I can understand what I feel and think.. I want my soul really be free. Can I have a moment alone to be myself? Can I be me? Can I have just a minute to start crying while all is falling? ...... Of course you can: Express what you feel.. Shine.. Really feel and live deeply each moment. Live in the present and built your future. You, good human, can. I know: it´s a process; it takes time; but the most important thing is to live, to help, to love.. and die knowing that a essence of you where there. Breathe.. 1 2 3 Being alive is gift.. Take it. Wait.. Where I was? I got lost... This song is amazing!
I love your spirit and your ability and willingness to fit with anything that presents itself. You perform at a level only you exist, you created something powerfully magical with your spirit and talent!
I couldn't even pay attention to the beginning of Umbrella Academy because I instantly recognized this song being played. This is my complete favorite version of Phantom. The use of electric guitar is just absolutely awesome!!! I have been watching Lindsey's work for so long that I knew it was hers in the first three notes. Be proud, Lindsey!!! You're the real White Violin!!!
I just saw Phantom of the Opera for the first time in London yesterday. I was blown away. Lindsey's rendition is PHENOMENAL. This women is crazy talented. I like her regular work, the dubstep, and this. She's an incredible artist!
Who else was singing the lyrics throughout this? It's made up of most to all of the songs from the movie/play of Phantom of The Opera, snip-bits of each song. It's (Phantom of The Opera) my favorite movie and I've been watching it since I was 3 years old (I'm 15 now). This is amazing and she changed the songs while keeping them the same - similar enough that I could not only identify which song it was all throughout, but the parts of the specific song that she was playing. She is so talented. Hat(s) off to Lindsey Stirling.
I KNEW IT. When I heard this on The Umbrella Academy, I thought that the violin sounded so familiar, as though I was hearing the voice of a singer I liked. Lindsey Stirling's style is so easy to recognize
She may never break a string but she’s liable to throw a hip or back disc out!!!! She’s the most flexible, talented, agile, beautiful human alive!!!!!! ❤ Pure musical and dance talent.

I know it's in the opening of Umbrella Academy BUT I'm here because I just watched The Phantom of the Opera yesterday at the Theater and it was amazing and phenomenal 😭😭
Alie Ross[MysticGoldenDragon] how would someone credit music in a show and how would they credit the maker of the song most tv shows don’t really credit songs especially violin or musical instruments as they can be made into music and don’t necessarily have to be listening and give credit as it can be made
The production value is still insane even in 2024. The music, the choreography, the cinematography, the costume design, the lighting, editing, and direction are all top notch quality. Lindsey stirling is a true queen of all trades.
Yeah lol no her acting in that scene was kinda... really noticeable. I was like no way she's actually playing it in real time bc the movements were just so wrong with the sound of the notes hueugheugheuhehghh
@@jamsass yeah, it's very hard to pretend to play the violin when you aren't familiar with the instrument. She did have an experienced violin double for some of the later episodes

You can't be talking about the decade, because 2006-2008 is the second half of that decade, so LATE '00s, not early. So I'm assuming you're referring to the whole century, or even millenium, but that is a bit of a DUH, as even in 2020 we're still early century/millennium.
Mallylonglegs They had us read that story in 6th grade and made us do a summary by recreating it in a short play. I love the book! You should definitely read it.

the thing i really love about Lindsey- (besides her music) is she always gives credit to those that help her i wish my superiors would take a page from her
I think it might be because of licensing issues since this is a medley of songs from the actual musical Phantom of the Opera. The song has been removed from Ultimate Guitar too.
Of course it's good the show was made by a god 21st century punk and alternative rock from the band My Chemical Romance Gerard Way and on top of it has great music in the show

I used to play the violin too, when I was 14. Now I'm 19 and she has inspired me so much that I wanna play again! I wish I can play like her someday, what with the dancing and the outfits and the musical melodies. It's all very inspiring!
How have you progressed? I've just started the basics. I hope after 6 years, you are still at it.
@@Blind-Ghost-1980 I had completely forgotten about this, and the timing is spot-on. Unfortunately my studies caught up to me, and I haven't touched my violin in about 3 years now. However, just recently I've been strongly considering taking it up again and to me this is a sign I should.
oh por dios, pensé que phantom of the opera no tenia superacion y tú lo has superado enormemente, que gran talento, sin palabras
Es una hermosa pieza en muchas versiones la he visto y como esta escrita es majestuoso
I wonder what Zep's _'Kashmir'_ would sound like from a violin?
Jason Fisk Plenty of Recordings of it out there...I suggest Lucia Micarelli or Escala
Joshua VerHalen cool I'll check it out, cheers.
@JasonFisk TSO west's violinist crushes it!
I cannot BELIEVE I just saw her perform this LIVE on Halloween in London at the Royal Albert Hall. 🤯 Best night of my life!
Am I the only one pretending to play this with an 'airviolin' in my room while jumping around?
No...
Yes..coz u overdose
Well, me too, but no shame, embrace the child in your heart
Only way to do it.
No you're not
Who else was singing the lyrics throughout this? It's made up of most to all of the songs from the movie/play of Phantom of The Opera, snip-bits of each song. It's (Phantom of The Opera) my favorite movie and I've been watching it since I was 3 years old (I'm 15 now). This is amazing and she changed the songs while keeping them the same - similar enough that I could not only identify which song it was all throughout, but the parts of the specific song that she was playing. She is so talented. Hat(s) off to Lindsey Stirling.
Alexi Hamilton I hope you aren’t team Erik
Was totally singing
the real ones yes'
No shame in admitting it, i was singing it too
r u kidding, this was done perfectly years before'
people: Umbrella academy
Me: eh? this is the phantom of the opera
My exact reaction when people say that to me
I agreeeeeee I like the show because of the Phantom starting it off.
I know right like PEOPLE ITS ALSO PHANTOM
Low key one of my favorite musicals? Plays? Idk but my favorite version is the 2005 (2004) movie
I think exactly the same, many know this work of art only for the netflix series. You should know the beautiful classic of the 👌
The way she plays the violin in the middle is so peaceful. I love this song.
I KNEW IT. When I heard this on The Umbrella Academy, I thought that the violin sounded so familiar, as though I was hearing the voice of a singer I liked. Lindsey Stirling's style is so easy to recognize
Exactly the same here :)
I love this song and the musical 😍
me too
Same I was singing every word with every note lol
+thereyousee me too 😊❤
+thereyousee but I'm German so I sing in German☺
same I like it 2 :3
She may never break a string but she’s liable to throw a hip or back disc out!!!!
She’s the most flexible, talented, agile, beautiful human alive!!!!!! ❤ Pure musical and dance talent.
Plus, she keeps her clothes on.
Love 2023 and I love her to slay
The Phantom of the Opera has always been one of my favorite musicals. The music is so whimsical, and Lindsey played the song well.
Yo no he visto The Umbrella Academy pero la neta que bueno que hizo que más personas conocieran a Lindsey, merece más admiración.
X2

The production value is still insane even in 2024. The music, the choreography, the cinematography, the costume design, the lighting, editing, and direction are all top notch quality. Lindsey stirling is a true queen of all trades.
also her outfits are always top notch! and I Love her hair....okay I'm done fanboying

Lindsey Stirling is so awesome, even Prussia loves her.

So Ellen Page is Lindsey Stirling now? Lol I heard the first few notes in Umbrella Academy and was like Hol' up a minute
not the only person
@@strflesh nah I know she wasn't they used the exact audio from Stirling's recording
Yeah lol no her acting in that scene was kinda... really noticeable. I was like no way she's actually playing it in real time bc the movements were just so wrong with the sound of the notes hueugheugheuhehghh
Same here.
@@jamsass yeah, it's very hard to pretend to play the violin when you aren't familiar with the instrument. She did have an experienced violin double for some of the later episodes
Can we talk about the duet between the violin and guitar? 2:01
Lindsey always looks like she's having SOOOO much fun rockin out on her instrument.
The blue Yamaha in the club is borrowed, not hers. Bushwacker in the other scenes is hers, though. It's 100 years old
As a violinist I can confirm that it is very fun!
Watching Umbrella Academy with a group of friends, I was the only one to recognize it was Phantom of the Opera, but it was also extra familiar for some reasons... Now I know why! :D
I mean, it’s very recognizably phantom in there, but it could be any violin performance, really (even though it *is* this one).
The 2548 dislikers are only jelous because of her talent:-)
Lindsey is an amazing artist in several ways plaing violin and dance at the same time, i am sure most of us cant dace or even play violin and she does both at the same time :-) LOVE you go on this way wann have a 2nd Album
to be honest this will be first ever video i disliked and hopefully the last for Lindsey (i lover her so much) but that ..."thing" what she did here, wasnt really for my ears sry
And it's not that it realy matters if you look at the like-dislike ratio
Does not matter, She's amazing :)
Нет слов... простите. Очень трогательно! ... Фанат и рока и классики... просто зашло!
Is it just me or does like al of Lindsey's music make you wanna get up and dance and let me tell you she looked absolutely gorgeous in every single outfit
Ariel Huntley All*
Ariel Huntley she has made me regain my passion for ballet.
I'm always amazed of how Lindsey always looks like a 2000's girl, like the hair, the clothes, she screams the late 2000's, like 2006 or 2008
Is that some kind of a problem?
@@missAlice1990 no (?) I actually like that, that's why I said that
You can't be talking about the decade, because 2006-2008 is the second half of that decade, so LATE '00s, not early.
So I'm assuming you're referring to the whole century, or even millenium, but that is a bit of a DUH, as even in 2020 we're still early century/millennium.
@@KimonFrousios The whole century, a 100 years. Why are you so weird?
