If I bought that for a kid and found out they'd put a free Applebee's or Chili's kid's menu crayon set in it, I'd return it after leaving a nasty review. What a rip off. When you spend money on a product, you have every right to be mean. When that product is endorsed by a popular figure, you have every right to criticize the person or people (his parents, ahem) who signed off on the deal. It's okay. If they get upset over it, too bad. Maybe they shouldn't be putting out and endorsing a bad product.
Thats the problem these days, people are more concerned with feelings so they’ll deal with crap quality OR get pulled insimply because of a name. No offense to you Chloe!! Def a hard one to judge when a kid is involved but yea… maybe this will put a fire under the parents bottoms to do better. ❤️
Guess its a lesson to do your research. Dont buy something from a name or figure unless you can be sure. Like buying any product that has some popular Kid UA-camr name to it is always a risk. Mostly a miss. Especially anything art or craft related. However if I am buying something from a youtube figure like Jazza or SaltyCrafter, I can trust they are gonna put out good products. If you want something even better. Buy all the supplies seperately, make a cute little box for them and give that as a gift! Or you can just get the big art pack from Crayola.
@Blue Aqua ....this is a $20 art set that reuses pictures for you to color on a thin strip of paper. They give you a fee crayons that arent bad as well as markers that dry out too quickly or already almost dried out when you use em for the first time. They include things that dont even make sense like erasers when you cant erase stuff, stencils you cant really use on the terrible little paper rectangles, and stickers which those I can forgive. Its another big company with billions making you pay for something that you could buy all the supplies for cheaper.
What I personally hate most about the Ryan products is that they are exploiting a child to rip off other children. My niece had a tantrum in a toy store once because she wanted a Ryan egg just because she had seen him on UA-cam. I absolutely can’t stand how much companies use celebrities (even little kid stars) to knowingly sell garbage to children and young people.
I've always had an issue with the Ryan's brand even when they first started out. It felt like they were exploiting their kid. And I specifically remember a video the mom was in where it was "educational" and so much of the info was straight up wrong. We couldn't figure out why our then 4 year old was saying all these incorrect "scientific" facts until I saw the video. It was infuriating.
@Lea I could you perhaps give the link or name of the video cause my 6yr old is always watching Ryan. (I've watched it with him quite a few times and they were correct about the float or sink in objects but I don't know about the rest).
The first I thought was "boy that's a lot of plastic". And they didn't even include a craft to use the packaging itself so now you have an awkward giant lump of plastic that's either gonna get chucked or put under the stairs for the rest of eternity. Edit: autocorrect
I genuinely hope Ryan has a normal teenage into adult experience because it really feels like he’s just being exploited by his parents and the adults around him as a cash cow…
My oldest has asked me if she can have a UA-cam channel for years thanks to Ryan. I told her to come up with video ideas, clean a space to film, and come up with a concept for the background. She stopped asking lol. If she wants one so bad, she has to do the work, I’m not doing it for her like Ryan’s parents do.
@@amberbanuelos7053 My son is the same way. I even let him upload a few videos to UA-cam, as Private, so he could share them with friends. He likes do to little plays with his toys, and he's 11 now, so he's getting to the age where he's going to start doing things whether I want him to or not. He quickly learned that it's a LOT of work, that with the equipment we have (cell phones) that it doesn't look the way he wants, and that not everyone gets what story he's trying to tell, so he needs to work on that. And I hope he DOES work on that...and when he's a few years older, if he still wants to do this, I will support him.
@@fishyman9089 They have almost always appeared in his video and they also now have tv shows. They also have two little twin girls they put in the video aswell.
Any company/person that gets upset or tries to take action against someone being “mean” when they’re fairly critiquing a product and do not slander them in any way is a bad company. Let those opinions out girl.
As a little kid when my markers were dried out, I'd just open them from the back and take out the plastic wrapped cottony thingy with ink, and dip one end in the water. The water then pushes the ink to the other end. When it's ready you just take it out of the water and put back inside the marker (with the non-dipped end towards the nib). You just had to watch them and take them out of the water as soon as the other end started getting damp (its colour would get darker). That's how I used them till the very last drop of ink :)
@@bluesonicstreak7317 It was partly by accident - being curious of what's inside a marker (but opening a dried one so "it doesn't spill", since I had no idea of what's inside), and then after seeing it, wondering "what if I add some water to it?", thinking it might work similar to paint. Iirc the first "ink stick" I just submerged whole in the water, but then the ink was pushed from both sides to the middle - that was the lightbulb moment for me :)
Oh i did that recently to some older markers i had before i gave em to the neighbors grandkids. About a pipette's worth of water and they worked perfectly again. You obviously don't wanna drench em.
😂 I still use this trick, I hate wasting anything. Not just for art supplies, but my liquid eyeliners as well. Let me tell you, there's ALWAYS more makeup in the container than you actually think, you just have to take it apart a bit.
As the mother of a five year old I can tell you that she would use up the paper in the kit in about 5 minutes, the markers would be dry within a week, and the stencils would be used a couple times and then lost under the couch. Just buy a $1 sketchbook, spend $5 on crayons or stickers or something… and then let them have at it.
For the same price as this egg you can buy a large roll of paper (like for those art easels) and a box of normal sized markers and stencils at walmart!! These eggs are not worth it!
Ugh sibling of a 3 year old I feel you! There are better things, like I have this 6 year old box of crayola crayons that actually work (my cousin had it for 9+ years) and my brother uses them up to this day T-T
Oh god. I would have my mom or grandma have some of my crayons from home in a little zip container that didn’t take up space in the purse. Granted that purse held everything but the kitchen sink 😂 but it would irritate me to no end on the select colors to crappy crayons
@@mysticalmulberries yeah thats why I always give the crayons to my brother every time we go somewhere where they have those types of crayons hehehehehe
I agree with feeling weird about kids on UA-cam. They can't consent. If you need to be 13 to make an account, you should have to be 13 to feature in a channel. Honestly I think 13 is too young, but if that's where they draw the line then fine. Same with Facebook, insta etc. If there's an age cap on making an account, there should be one on being posted about.
I feel like somebody needs to really really figure out more stuff for little kids because hell not even the stuff on like UA-cam kids is safe sometimes it's kind of sad that a lot of time they don't have a safe space they're so young...(coming from somebody who kind of had the internet raise them and was completely without supervision and got into too much stuff)
No, 13 is not almost in high school. High school starts at 15 to 16. And no one under age should be in social media as itsexualizesthem. They are targeted by creeps and monsters. It is not safe.
It could be $5 and I still wouldn't buy it. I don't wanna support them exploiting Ryan, I really hope when he's a teenager her realises how they've used him
Why the erasers? It seems like somebody grabbed some random dollar store art supplies, tossed them into a plastic egg, added popular UA-camr branding, and said, "Yup. That's worth 20 bucks." His parents should be ashamed of themselves.
actually, the erasers r also a part of the branding cause the characters on top of the erasers are legally owned by the brand the panda is called gamer panda i think.... and the crocodile is called gus
My mom got it from dollar general for 10$. And I hated it, I had to open it and it didn't open properly. I had to rip off the cardboard and I thought it was coming with full color sheets, I was so disappointed with the rolls of paper. It sucks. Not worth the 10$.
Right? I got my kid a 150 Crayola crayon box that came in a plastic container for around $15. It lasted years. My kid recently outgrew it, so I washed it, replaced the used up crayons with brand new ones from a brand new box, and gave it to my niece. I’m sure it’ll last her until she’s a teenager too. That’s a much better deal considering how long it’s lasted. As a kid, I would have been happier with a big box of Crayola crayons and a good quality coloring book than a poor quality “art kit” with dried out markers and Rose Art quality crayons.
my brother used to love ryan, and his channel. I on the other hand found him pretty annoying. Chloe made me realize its not the kids fault for his products. If you dont mind, I have a video idea. Now that you have the big plastic egg, instead of throwing it away, maybe turn it in to something like decoration. If that makes sense. LOVE YOUR VIDEOS❤❤❤❤
Let's see . . . Turn it into a lamp Turn it into a fairy house/castle Sculpt a dinosaur or dragon to be hatching out of it Use it as hidden storage And don't get me started on the Easter ideas
@@Mimismang0s its 2 yrs old at this point. She's not doing it. But there is a way to paint on plastic. It just requires a light sanding and a primer meant for plastic
Being someone who lives under the poverty line, I greatly appreciate your both taking the time to show people how to get their money's worth, and your psa to people who may not understand people on my side of the literal coin. (Edit: I got a comment about my grammar and I wasn't sure if it was joking about it being bad, so I fixed my wording a little. It better portrays what I was trying to say.)
@@4Rgames I am paranoid (i.e. name) and hope this is a compliment, but worry my lack of an oxford comma, or awkward phrasing is being goofed on. If a compliment, I really appreciate your very kind words. Either wat, thanks lol ♡
So true, there are many people who don't have much money but still want to treat their kids to something if they can, and knowing they might like Ryan, they might buy it and then this is what they get. There are so many options and things out there that are a way better deal and would make for a way better choice if you want to give your kids something fun.
@@gggthsb absolutely, especially since kids never like only one thing at a time and Crayola partiners with so many different brands. It shows parents that if they have a kid who likes Ryan's World and let's say something like Sponge Bob, that they can get one at a much better value than the other. And honestly, you can go to the dollar store to get a fun container and tissue wrap or pretty little fabric bags and the kid in question can still have rhe surpruse experience without spending more on all that extra packaging too.
Here’s the thing, I think it’s actually incredibly fair to judge these types of products harshly. This goes back to some of the kits Jackie reviewed from Guava juice & Karina Garcia - these products really have nothing to do with the creators. These products are from one of those “customize-able companies” who produce bad products and content creators use these bad quality products to rip people off. Do I think Guava, Ryan & Katrina have some input - yes, but generally it’s been shown they don’t follow up to make sure these kits are worth the money. You more than proved your point trying out the crayola kit for a 2$ difference - you could argue it’s crayola and they just have better products but both Chloe & Jackie have tested bad crayola kits, so it is very possible for them to have bad products.
@@andreafeelsfantastic oh of course, the only reason I even added him into the comment is because Chloe has reviewed some of his products. I think he probably plays with the stuff, but at the end of the day do I think he really has any say? No. Compare that to Guava & Katrina - they could have more of a day and chose not too
I bought 2 Ryan's world products for my kids... I swore to NEVER bother again. We had a squishy that was cracked, blank and falling apart within an hour and a goopy doll thing that leaked out of the pack. They were the most overpriced garbage I have ever seen.
If I was being generous, I'd say the total value would be about $4 or $5 with the egg. I'd rather buy a hobby store gift certificate and let my youngster pick out a nice art set for the same price. By the way, the egg is a terrible storage container for all these items. Everything could have been placed in a plastic pencil box without costing the manufacturer more, and it would have been more practical.
I agree that it’s not worth the $20 based off of this. I think it’s being bought because it’s his, some kids care about quality but most kids want it because it’s their favorite youtuber. You said the crayola kit was more expensive but if his kit was bought online there would also be shipping so that increases prices as well. I was one of those kids who would be using art supplies and have favorite brands because of how they worked, I would dig through the crayon box because parents just threw them all together and not use certain brands because they were junk. I as a child would have been disappointed with this “kit” sadly.
@@4Rgames my crayon box. My parents would take all of my crayons out of their brand boxes and dump them into a shoe box, so I had to dig around in a mess of chaotic crayons.
My daughter doesn’t believe me whenever I tell her that Ryan’s branded toys are overpriced for the quality of the product, which is why I tell her if she wants it, she has to buy it. This video might actually convince her.
I won't be buying my grandchild one of those eggs. Thank you for reviewing it for us, I am certain you have saved lots of hard-working people their hard earned pay on rubbish that looks good but delivers nothing. God bless you Chloe and all those you love.
I honestly feel so bad for Ryan. I watched him when I was four I’m 11 now he’s not having a normal childhood. I know at first it started out as all fun and games but he’s a teenager now I feel so bad for him. He’s just getting exploited.
Thank you for reviewing this art egg! It is such a strange idea to package art supplies inside an egg without a concept. Maybe if there were also a stuffed animal inside that egg, that hatches and instantly loves to draw from the beginning of it's life since it hatches together with it's art supplies. That would make more sense to me. There would be enough space for it on the empty side of the eggshell as well. I think, that would make the price a bit more adequate. But without that, this just confuses me. Also the coloring strip with the repeating pattern and the dried out pens would have make me sad as a child. I hope the team behind this product is going to improve it's concept! Great video, Chloe! :)
Eggs just seem to be a thing. We recently got a slime kit in an egg. Nothing in it had anything to do with eggs or anything that hatches from eggs. Just packaging
@@Skittl1321 Well, technically real eggs are slimey inside. So the slime makes more sense to me than just art supplies inside an egg😂 But I think it would indeed be more interesting to have white slime with a (for example: crackle) yolk filling in yellow inside an egg packaging! I like that idea somehow. Maybe something like that exists already?😆
Since the age range said “5+”, you’re in the upper “+” part of the range. I may not be in the target age for American Girl dolls, however I’m in the “+” range and still collect (as do many adults).
Fun fact, I found out on tiktok that the really dried out markers in the set we had has kids needed to be water activated... you need to put water in them so they can work.... my mind was blown
Thank you for pointing out the comparisons available at the store! Since branding is thrown at us from every direction in every media this was a really important message within an entertaining video.
I love that you blurred the contents out after basically waving the egg around in your hand for a minute with that side showing and then put it on the desk with that side to the camera 😂
By the way, i appreciate you reviewing this product. does it drive you crazy that a big portion of the price is a giant egg that you can't do anything with? I hate companies that create things that will just be thrown out. I think you can make fun packaging and still have something you can reuse later. Its so weird, especially when its for kids, who are so much more aware of the environment.
So much for "you get what you pay for." Like you said, in this case, you're paying for the brand because the art supplies are cheap dollar store quality. I would not buy that. I don't feel that you were dissing on the kid at all. Whoever put this egg together could have done better by choosing better quality supplies. It's a real letdown to spend $20 for a brand only to get a few basically useless markers and crayons. I know exactly what you mean about those cheapie felt tip pens. Getting so many "markers" that were dried out was super frustrating and made me hate doing art when I was a kid. Art should be a good experience for anyone who tries it and, in my opinion, manufacturers who produce art supplies, even if they're geared toward kids, should do better. I know there's a tradeoff and you're going to spend more for quality, but it's just such a waste to keep producing.. well, more waste. Imagine how many cheap plastic markers end up in landfills. FYI: Crayola has a program where you can send them your old markers and they will recycle them. More companies should be utilizing programs like this.
Thanks Chloe Rose! 😊 You saved many parents headache’s when such toys are marketed for the kids. The disappointment and money that could of been spent on some art materials that are not just thrown in a landfill. Quality over quantity any day.
I got one of those eggs ( the one before that one I think) for my nephew and he loved it. But he is a 5 year old and also loves the egg even more than the stuff inside lol. He has 2 of the eggs and keeps small toys in them.
You know what UA-camr has a great product? You, Chloe! Your paint brushes are my new favorites for watercolor. I haven't tried them with acrylics yet because I love them for watercolor so much :)
To be honest, you were way too nice. They're exploiting their kid for money - let's only hope they're putting that money away for him and that he's not the sole breadwinner of the family and feels if he ever quit his parents would be homeless - and they're turning out crap products using his name just to make a quick buck out of his popularity. Whether it's the parents or, more likely, the team of managers pushing for releases while the brand is hot, this is just not the best way to handle things.
Keep in mind: you're reviewing a product, not the kid himself. You're allowed to have expectations and negative opinions about a product you bought. This doesn't mean you're hating on a kid. Also, as a dutchie, I hardly even remember using crayons as a kid🤣
I used to shave them down into little bits, put it in a water bottle, and there you go, you got a snowglobe. Yea, my childhood was... something, to say the least🤷♀️
As a parent of two younger children, I absolutely would NOT buy this! The product is awful...I mean, if you're gonna charge $20, at least fill both sides of the egg with mismatched items 🙄. Really, thank you for showing how many alternatives there are for cheaper! That aside, I really don't agree with entitled attitude that is seeped into the way that his channel is run. The poor kid is spoiled rotten by THE MOST annoying, patronising parents and the consumerism it endorses makes my skin crawl. I have banned my two watching his content because of the "buy me buy me" mindset involved. The parents need a good hard talking to!
His team are marketing geniuses! My son loves him. We went and bought one of his mystery treasure toys for $11.99. It was the cheapest little plastic toy encased in clay that you had to chip away at (which I had to do because it was too hard for my 4 years old). You basically pay for the “experience”…. Was such a rip off. Why they are millionaires. I have learned my lesson lol
I don't have kids, but I have a lovable niece who wants to be an artist. She definitely notices when markers are dry or poor quality. There are brands, and knock-off brands, that are still worth their value. And honestly kids are unlikely to remember "oh yeah it was from this youtuber I liked!" when they're done with their drawings/art -- what will matter more is the fun they had or not; so paying extra for less just to have a brand name is silly and not economically efficient for those of us on tight budgets. (My entire family is below the poverty line where we live, so we have to shop wisely).
I can tell you’re worried about anyone thinking you’re criticizing Ryan and that’s clearly not the case. You’re being critical of shitty overpriced products that have his face slapped on them. I’ve seen him being used to market dollar store quality items at retail store prices … that’s nothing to do with Ryan but rather the people using him.
Not quite stencils. They're for doing rubbings! A very fun activity for kids -- especially in the fall. It'd be fun to see an adult try to incorporate rubbings or stampings of various yard items into their work.
The stuff this company creates for younger influencers reminds me of the 90's and early 2000's Nickelodeon products before they truly established themselves as a "children's monopoly" of a company
These "mystery box" type of things always come with so much needless packaging, it's genuinely making me angry. It has absolutely zero use besides making the unpacking an ✨experience✨ and just gets tossed out immediately. The egg in this video is even half empty! Do we really need this in 2022?! I don't think so. There more than enough plastic waste already. Nothing against this channel or the video, btw. I just wished this topic was talked more about in these types of videos.
I completely agree! This one wasn't too bad, some of the ones Jackie/NerdEcrafter has done have everything individually wrapped as well as 2 layers of thin plastic on top of the container of the mystery items. But every time I see those mystery boxes where it's made as an experience as well as a mystery item, I get annoyed about the extremely unnecessary amount of waste...
@@lampekartoffel The NerdECrafter videos were exactly the ones I had in mind, too. I really like Jackie, she seems to be a nice person, but I wish she was more thoughtful regarding this particular topic. I don't think I've ever heard her mention the ridiculous amount of waste these types of products needlessly produce. I haven't seen each and every one of her videos though, so maybe she has talked about it at some occasion, just not that I'm aware of.
@@bunapapaya8 She has mentioned it and explained that thanks to the extensive and really good recycling system in Canada, she can, and does, recycle all of the packaging. I lived in Canada for almost a year and, even though the Danish recycling system is pretty good, we're far behind Canada! So I believe Jackie when she says it all gets recycled.
@@lampekartoffel Ah, that's great to know, thanks! However, I don't believe that recycling solves the issue. Unfortunately, recycling is a very much imperfect system. I believe you when you tell me that Canada does great when it comes to recycling, and that's awesome! However, some materials are just not recyclable, unfortunately, and the recycled materials are usually more expensive than new materials, which makes them less attractive for companies to use. It is much, much better to just avoid needless waste in the first place. And these mystery boxes to me seem like a great place to start :)
@@bunapapaya8 I agree 100% I personally try to use items with the "recycled plastic" symbol on their packaging - but reducing the plastic used in the first place would be even better! A combination would be amazing!
You were so kind and diplomatic! The Crayola products, crayons included, are far more pigmented than any other child art products. For the Ryan’s World kit to not even include a pad of paper, pencils or an activity book-just a testament to the low quality of manufacture. Tiny kids will have a beast of a time chasing around a curly strip of paper in order to hold it flat and color on it. And the Crayola kit even came with a cute briefcase to tote around! The egg makes no sense whatsoever. The true comparison would be to look for that crap at a dollar store, where you could fill a grocery bag with stuff for twenty bucks and come away with coloring books, stickers, pads of paper, crayons, pencils, washi tape…
I don't think it's mean to honestly critique a project. If there are people who go the extra mile to interpret "this is not a good product" as "the creator who made this is a bad person," I mean, that's kind of on them. I've purchased merch from different creators I like and some of the stuff has been great quality, and there have been some real duds. Sometimes influences will partner with brands not knowing the quality they're in for and, unless you can prove they were aware beforehand, it would be unfair to say they are the ones at fault. At the end of the day, I think it's more important to be fair, yet honest about what the product is; people should be aware of what they're getting. Great video, I love your personality and your videos! ❤️
I was pretty picky about my art stuff as a kid and disliked the way Rose Art felt when coloring, plus it didn't go down as smooth and solid as Crayola without added pressure but then it felt that much more waxy. At some point in elementary school I would color with crayons then scrape of the wax, then color over it with the same color marker so it would have sheen to it. No idea where I got that from but I do the same now as an adult with colored pencils to make the color pop sometimes.
The parents have to be okaying all his ‘merch’ and anything with his FACE and name on so they’re basically letting down their son! 😔 HE’S the brand after all! Guaranteed it’s nothing to do with him so his parents should be making sure the items going out are top notch! Imo! I could be wrong but I know I’d do that with my child if she were in that position! 🤷♀️
I loathe it when horrible art products are passed off as ‘it’s okay, it’s for kids’. Kids judge art so quickly- if it’s frustrating off the bat, kids will get turned off art. I bought a set of five good quality kids crayons- they were used more than huge packages of crayola. Even when they were all mixed in, the kids would dig for those crayons. Give up on the cheap stuff and buy way less, better quality, and the kids will actually USE them.
Chloe, you sweet soul!!! I have been watching your vids since your speed paints (long time ago), and I haven't really commented on your vids (like ever). And that line! "*lOoKs LiKe My CvS rEcEiPt.*" omg, like that made my day!! 😂👌🏻
This seems like such a scam which is good to know because at one point I was going to buy it for my 6 year old cousin’s birthday, we didn’t end up getting it but I saw it at toy r us and thought that was really cheap. I would honestly feel super bad if I gave that to anyone. I just one to say that I used to watch his videos when I was 6 and he was entertaining so the way he has his channel I think it great and I think he is a great kid but this product is not a good representation of his channel because it’s crap. Also, video idea!! Can you try crocheting? Or knitting?
I feel this! My daughter liked watching him and her behavior took a nosedive the more she watched. Within a few days of banning it in our house her behavior improved. He just comes off very rude and disrespectful.
I don't know his youtube channel, but now I wonder, what is happening in his videos, that it is so bad (well, idea of kid having youtube channel is bad by itself) I'm sorry for my English too! It is not my first language
I'd never buy this for my kid, since such low quality art supplies can totally kill the fun of creating and drawing and make kids turn their backs to that kind of activities - you know, when the supplies are so hard to work with, or are just not satisfying, some kids will just give up
Almost all of these toys are like this… a huge plastic egg with no purpose. I know a kid who loves all of these surprise eggs… they open them and that’s it. Fun’s over, they don’t even use what’s inside unless it’s slime. These toys are giving kids even more issues with being greedy and just tossing stuff away because it’s not what they wanted.
I work at walmart, and the amount of Ryan's world stuff we carry makes me feel bad for the kid. he takes up a couple of sections of the toy aisle with his "mystery toy's", we carry a LOT of clothes with his brand on it, in toddler and Older kids, and I think now we do have some stationary stuff too I feel bad for the kid he's getting used for the money
Hullo Chloe, it is easy to see why there is such a disparity in the reviews, the lower ones are the honest ones the higher five star are the dishonest or paid for reviews! I don’t think you’re being too hard or harsh on Ryan he obviously has nothing to do with putting this together I’m sure he will benefit from the sales but the quality that’s all on the parents and the team marketing him! Lovely video Chloe would love to see you do other UA-cam products or product sponsored by or created by other UA-camrs!
Dried markers that still have ink in them can be reactivated by pulling out the tip and injecting a few drops of water (using a blunt syringe) into the barrel. Leave sitting horizontally for a couple of hours. The same can be done with most alcohol markers. Instead of water, inject a few drops of rubbing alcohol into the barrel. Certainly works for Sharpies and others where it's easy to remove the nib.
Finally I can watch your video! My smart tv/Blueray App wouldn’t let me watch it and kept crashing! I like that you’re being skeptic about that egg and finding better/cheaper stuff.
I like that the crayola kits thing has the rub stencils for things like brick (where u take the crayon and rub it over the paper on top of the texture)
hi Chloe. i'm 11 so yea i'm young. in my opinion i think that if you are a brand of something you might as well put a lot of effort into what you make cause you don't want a bad review of it. sorry ryan but i agree with Chloe on this one and i hope you understand what i'm trying to say. love u Chloe hope you read this big fan of you. can't wait to see another video.
Chloe since you already bought this croyola box , I demand you to make an art piece with them next video or so! Or you can consider it as "cheap art supplies challenge" lots of people love this! 😍 no excuses 😈 other than being busy !😉
Don’t waste your money. Buy your kid a blank drawing pad and a decent set of coloured pencils. 3 useless erasers. Markers that dry up after a week. Tiny cheap crayons. Waste of money.
You always have to becareful when purchasing products with a big figure on it. Stuff like art or craft kit type items, depending on who sells it, its most likely going to be garbage. I would never trust that type of stuff. You dont pay all that money for the product in a lot of cases, you pay all that money for the name or logo.
I love the kiwico maker crate soooo much it’s so worth the money. My sister(12) has the design crate for littler kids and she’s frequently disappointed with hers and helps with mine so I recommend the maker crate even if you’re not 14+
In my opinion, it's okay for someone to not accept criticism if they are merely a hobbyist BUT as soon as you start selling and putting a price tag on your things is when you HAVE to take criticism. You are selling a product, you are taking people's money, if your product is subpar then people have every right to give criticism or be mean about it. If you bought a new Iphone and it came completely broken and non-functional that would be unacceptable wouldn't it? The same thing applies to everything that can be paid for. From art to writing (e.g. being a paid writer on a show) to producing actual products like that egg and even digital assets. As soon as you start taking folks money for something you no longer have a right to reject criticism.
I feel like his parents are using him and sisters for cash and getting huge houses and such. Also his toys and stuff are super expensive. One egg here is 60$ that's just crazy.
Aside from the unjustified price, what bothers me too is how the space in the egg just wasn't used *at all.* You have this giant egg with one tiny layer of thin art supplies and one tiny scrill of cheap paper, and a whole lot of free space that has been wasted there. It's like these chips packages that look huge but are just 50% air.
My kids asked for those for Christmas last year and it was SO disappointing opening that up. They didn't even like it lol. The packaging is so heavy that it felt like there was a lot in there. We still have one of the eggs with the divider removed though, almost a year later and it held up fine. The other's hinges broke lol
@@anonshrimp8299 Jazza spectrum noir box was amazing
I've always had an issue with the Ryan's brand even when they first started out. It felt like they were exploiting their kid. And I specifically remember a video the mom was in where it was "educational" and so much of the info was straight up wrong. We couldn't figure out why our then 4 year old was saying all these incorrect "scientific" facts until I saw the video. It was infuriating.
That sounds horrible honestly

@Lea I could you perhaps give the link or name of the video cause my 6yr old is always watching Ryan. (I've watched it with him quite a few times and they were correct about the float or sink in objects but I don't know about the rest).
That's awful
She was a high school chemistry teacher before she quit to work on the channel full time.

Man, you were a resourceful kid if you figured that out on your own.

I think the age is 13 because beyond that point they'll find a way to do it with or without permission... Judging from personal experience.
13 yr olds are almost in high school. I think that's a bit silly to say they are too young for youtube lol
No, 13 is not almost in high school. High school starts at 15 to 16. And no one under age should be in social media as itsexualizesthem. They are targeted by creeps and monsters. It is not safe.

@@gggthsb absolutely, especially since kids never like only one thing at a time and Crayola partiners with so many different brands.

If I was being generous, I'd say the total value would be about $4 or $5 with the egg. I'd rather buy a hobby store gift certificate and let my youngster pick out a nice art set for the same price. By the way, the egg is a terrible storage container for all these items. Everything could have been placed in a plastic pencil box without costing the manufacturer more, and it would have been more practical.
my little brother got one of those and it was just a chunk of plastic with like a few art supplies in it that suck.

You saved many parents headache’s when such toys are marketed for the kids. The disappointment and money that could of been spent on some art materials that are not just thrown in a landfill.

Just so you know the Random raised patterns (in the Crayola box) on the plastic organizer are stencils
I think the Ryan set is closer to $10-12 in value.
These "mystery box" type of things always come with so much needless packaging, it's genuinely making me angry. This one wasn't too bad, some of the ones Jackie/NerdEcrafter has done have everything individually wrapped as well as 2 layers of thin plastic on top of the container of the mystery items.

However, some materials are just not recyclable, unfortunately, and the recycled materials are usually more expensive than new materials, which makes them less attractive for companies to use.

My aunt got this for my cousin for his birthday, I also thought that the price was kinda ridiculous…Also it was missing the yellow and green crayon.
No way, nuh-uh. We have a No Ryan's World rule in our house. That egg would not be happening even if it were free.
I feel this! My daughter liked watching him and her behavior took a nosedive the more she watched. Within a few days of banning it in our house her behavior improved. He just comes off very rude and disrespectful.
I don't know his youtube channel, but now I wonder, what is happening in his videos, that it is so bad (well, idea of kid having youtube channel is bad by itself)
I'm sorry for my English too! It is not my first language
I'd never buy this for my kid, since such low quality art supplies can totally kill the fun of creating and drawing and make kids turn their backs to that kind of activities - you know, when the supplies are so hard to work with, or are just not satisfying, some kids will just give up
Hi Chloe!! I'd like to see another art back video! I love your channel and I created my own last month and I love posting so much! Thank you!!!
Art *hack * video!!
0:48 I'm sorry, facts.
Her saying in the beginning im not going to judge this hard her at the end this is not good to expensive 😂😂❤❤❤
"Its that kid from youtube thats a..... millionaire!". really got me 💀
I would totally get the resin cluster thing it’s so aesthetic and my style!
Michaels sells art kits just like this, without the egg, for $5.00!! It doesn’t come with paper, but you can buy a pretty good art book for $5-6.
@chloe, after watching this video, I think we need you to design your own art advent calendar. That would be amazing!
You should save the egg (casing)/box) and paint it for easter. I would love to see that 🥚💛💚
hi Chloe. i'm 11 so yea i'm young. in my opinion i think that if you are a brand of something you might as well put a lot of effort into what you make cause you don't want a bad review of it. sorry ryan but i agree with Chloe on this one and i hope you understand what i'm trying to say. love u Chloe hope you read this big fan of you. can't wait to see another video.
He's my childhood😭✨️btw love ya videos
Chloe since you already bought this croyola box , I demand you to make an art piece with them next video or so! Or you can consider it as "cheap art supplies challenge" lots of people love this! 😍 no excuses 😈 other than being busy !😉
Who else thinks Ryan gonna get bullied when he’s a teenager if he goes public school 🏫
Don’t waste your money. Buy your kid a blank drawing pad and a decent set of coloured pencils.
3 useless erasers. Markers that dry up after a week. Tiny cheap crayons. Waste of money.
You can also get some decent markers with 20 dollar
You always have to becareful when purchasing products with a big figure on it. Stuff like art or craft kit type items, depending on who sells it, its most likely going to be garbage. I would never trust that type of stuff.
You dont pay all that money for the product in a lot of cases, you pay all that money for the name or logo.
I love the kiwico maker crate soooo much it’s so worth the money. My sister(12) has the design crate for littler kids and she’s frequently disappointed with hers and helps with mine so I recommend the maker crate even if you’re not 14+
“Mom, I want Bobby’s World.”
“Sweetie we have Bobby’s world at home!”
Idk about how ryan and his sisters actually feels, but i hope they wouldnt feel distressed by their childhood

Btw did Chloe change her profile
This made my day better 😊
What is the number I need to text
Next week's idea: testing art hacks AGAIN!! I just loooovvvveee those vids love you ❤️❤️
Target actually sells on their website a Cra-Z-Art 30 Day Art Challenge for $14.99.
I feel like his parents are using him and sisters for cash and getting huge houses and such. Also his toys and stuff are super expensive. One egg here is 60$ that's just crazy.
Yes
Aside from the unjustified price, what bothers me too is how the space in the egg just wasn't used *at all.*
You have this giant egg with one tiny layer of thin art supplies and one tiny scrill of cheap paper, and a whole lot of free space that has been wasted there. It's like these chips packages that look huge but are just 50% air.
My kid wanted one of these eggs. And I was a mean mom and said no. Glad I kept my money. 😂
Why ain't my kiwi co boxes coming in anymore..I have like a million old ones!
Oh yeah..I'm too old for that one.
I BETTER GET ANOTHER ONE.
3 erasers when there’s no pencils in the egg? makes sense😭
Honestly you opening Ryan’s egg reminds me of being a toddler and watching kinder egg and play doh unboxing 😭💀
My kids asked for those for Christmas last year and it was SO disappointing opening that up. They didn't even like it lol. The packaging is so heavy that it felt like there was a lot in there. We still have one of the eggs with the divider removed though, almost a year later and it held up fine. The other's hinges broke lol
“oh its that kid from youtube………. Thats a millionaire”
write your favorite thing she said in the vid lol
My kids LOVE LOVE LOVES Ryan anything and you, ma'am, have saved me $20.
