This made me cry. :') Please everyone is the comments who is reading this say I'm an idiot. I'm an emotional person and things like this make me feel so happy that I can feel my heart drop to the bottom of me and make me break down into tears of joy and happiness. This is the best thing I have ever experienced in my entire life. I have two birds who are siblings that I love very much. I've taken care of them with my family for 6 years, but they are 7 years old.
Jeanneke2000 I totally didn't expect the maker of this video to reply. I loooved this video to pieces. Thank you and you're welcome! ;D My uncle used to have a macaw identical to yours named Boom Boom, but him and his family went on vacation, so he hired some people to look after Boom Boom, but they for got all about him which meant they didn't feed him or give him any water. :'( After I heard the news, I was so upset, He was the happiest thing ever. How is Mero now? He really seems like a happy bird here. :)
Jeanneke2000 I'm glad to hear that the liitle guy's alright. :) I know you probably won't care, but I'm going to subscribe to you. I just love the fact that you did such a great job taking care of Mero in this video.
The sad music and watching your baby grow up living a happy and sweet life made me cry of happiness, i love it when animals get such great care , love, and amazing home. You've done an amazing job of taking care of him😍😍😍😏😏😏😁😁😁
I got so choked up watching this incredibly sweet footage that I actually wept...To see Mero's transformation from 'naked,' helpless little fella to such a simply BEAUTIFUL and healthy looking animal due to your obvious TLC, just tugs at my heart-To me, n o t h i n g in the world is as compelling and fascinating as Nature.....
Absolutely wonderful video! Very few relationships look like this in the world..human or animals. Thanks so much for sharing and I hope you enjoy many years together!
As a fellow Blue & Gold owner, I must say Im delightfully impressed with the care you displayed for the little guy! Thums up......and CONGRATS to a lifetime partnership will have created with this bird!
Awh!!!' What a beautiful story thru pictures . I lost my baby last year, due to black mold that had set up in my apartment. I've moved since then, but miss miss scarlet very much. I've been a widow for almost 9 yrs. so she was my best friend. Being on disability, i cant afford to purchase another. Wish I could. Good luck with your beautiful baby
this is so beautiful it made me cry! May u have many more years with your darling baby! My man and i also have birdy children! the biggest blessing in the world! ☺
This is great .. I have a blue and gold macaw also, her name is Snoopy, but I didn't get her when she was a baby. They are such beautiful birds .. and funny :)
I used to work in an Exotic bird shop that had an in-house hatchery, they do take a ton of care, but with birds such as these the bond that is formed is second to none.
brianna childers It's cruel actually. And because of that mindset that handfed babies are friendlier, many baby parrots end up sick and hurt from inexperienced owners.
Tiny Finches how do you raise them properly? I have done a ton of research because my lovebird is possibly pregnant and I want to make sure I don't hurt the babies at any point.
It is such an emotional video I have 2 parakeets and soon they'll have babies I hope :) Why do people dislike??!? U took care of ur baby bird so good! Ignore the haters :) Great job!
Awesome, you have just helped me see the progression that my new baby Ara severus will go through. He's around the 03:36 stage right now, just learning to walk a bit, 3 - 4 handfeedings per day.
just love thixx video leave m speechless budd congratx n stayy blessed ..I love Pets alooottt...no wordx having tears in my eyes ...Allah bless u with more happiness n many more to feed the best for all of ur petx ...👍😇💚
Thank you for making this with video clips instead of pictures. I see that so often and do not like it. I had a Senegal Parrot I raised from that young and the video brought back a lot of memories. Thank you for that.
He looks like a plucked chicken for quite some time! hehe I would have thought he would have some fuzz at least, what a beauty tho, such a transformation in a very short time...I bet he's just the sweetest guy ever! My birds have meant the world to me... they gave me SO much more love than i ever thought they would, and I was beyond devastated when they died! I will never forget them and one day when i get over my fear of losing them i think i will get another, its just too wonderful an experience to never have again!!
congratulations on your baby!! So beautiful!! I would love to know or see how your baby is now!! I'm doing so much research before my husband blesses me with one of my own. thank you for sharing!
I absolutely loved this video and it made my dag!!! (Inside joke). I give this video a 5 star rating and i hope that you are enjoying Mero and he is enjoying you!!!!!
It probably died a few days after getting dumped into an environment totally unknown to him, after chewing on the wrong toxic plant or failing to spot a predator in time. Conservationists know very-well about how difficult it is to re-introduce domesticated macaws to the wild. They dedicated alot of research and figured the only moderately-sucessful process is to breed them, and when the chicks reach the age near of which they would leave nest, carefully throw them out of an aviary at sunset so they don't go far. In the morning they are very hungry and they go to the aviary to eat. It takes weeks or months of careful management for the birds to be able to survive without relying on the food and water provided by humans. That is for young birds. Survival of adult pet macaws dumped into the wild is extremely low. They have alot more chance to survive if they get dumped into a city. But feel free to dream about a utopian nature that never existed.

I found myself crying :( too adorable i cant handle :(((((
You have shown your love for animals, raising a baby bird (particulary a hatchling) demands so much work. Congrats!

I loved all 2 frames of this video.
Beautiful! Great job.
aww how sweet it would be to raise them from a baby, then you have a stronger attachment to your pet. however i'm sure babies require a ton of care

Regardless if you raised them from a baby they'll bite you if they feel threatened!
Beautiful bird.
