Pikmin 3 - Onionless All Fruits in 10 Days

For this challenge, I am not allowed to ever withdraw pikmin from the onion. In order to get pikmin when I enter a new area, I need to cause an extinction. As a result, I can never let a pikmin enter the onion, and I am forced to start each new area with only 1 pikmin of each type.
Day 1 is pretty annoying, as the game doesn't want you to kill any pikmin there. Garden of Hope and Tropical Wilds are also pretty tight on time. However, the most difficult day is day 10, where I only get to start with 5 pikmin, and I can only grow more with candypop extinctions. This is a pretty insane restriction, but I was still able to achieve a 10 day completion!

Also it’s cool how this is almost the same thing as the extinction challenge that’s been done in the first game.

You don't actually need to kill the 30 yellow pikmin on day 1. they don't make it to the onion and so would die at sunset anyway.
Also (if it was theoretically possible) what would happen if you get an extinction without an onion

Awesome! This was fun to watch. It's nice to see that all 3 games have complete Onionless challenges, though only Pikmin 3's can be done in the optimal number of days (which probably says something about the ease of a regular 10-day run compared to the low-day runs of Pikmin 1 and 2).

42 pikmin ten day all fruit is possible if you kill some pikmin and breed up blues so you never have more than 42. But a minimum pikmin(only breeding the minimum amount to complete the game) 10 day all fruit run isn’t because you only get 1 blue in that run and to get any underwater fruit you need to use the candy pop buds in tropical wilds to get at least 10 blues. Because of this the garden of hope 2 cannot be completed in one day.

@@edmundlewandowski4189 Though if you allow Pikmin deaths, isn't it technically possible to beat the game with just 1 of each type of Pikmin? This game's weird, I wish it kept better statistics like in P2

I once had a scenario happen where on day one where you first meet the red pikmin, according to the results graph thing, one died. I didn't use the strat you did, as I had no intention to kill any. I never heard the death sound or anything. Any answers? I belive this was on wiiu pikmin 3.

Any idea if onionless is still possible on the switch version? I tried some co-op shenanigans to try to drown the pikmin but that just lead me to a dead end.
