- Join me on leg 2 of a full, 4 legs day, flying around the gorgeous Caribbean in the awesome PILATUS PC-12/47.
On this leg, I'm going to show you how a full flight in the Pilatus PC-12 is done from startup to shutdown without cuts in the middle. We're going to depart runway 10 in Princess Juliana International Airport with a right turn direct to St Barths. We use our OPS frequency to verify which parking spot will fit us best once we land. Stay tuned for more!
On part three we will fly the corridor over to Anguilla, Clayton J Lloyd Airport (TQPF/AXA), Subscribe and enable notifications to be notified when part 3 is live.
Feel free to ask your questions on the comment section below and I'll do my best to reply back!

LANDING ON RUNWAY 28 in ST BARTHS: • CHALLENGING LANDING? -...
Equipment Used:
1. GoPro Hero 7 Black
2. GoPro Hero 5 Black
3. iPhone 11 Pro
4. Final Cut Pro X
Note: this video was recorded on a Part 91 leg around December 2019, when COVID19 was not a thing.
Very safe and thorough checklist and briefings. When you caught the out of trim condition on the ground, this is why we use checklists. Very professional video. Great work!
Am a student pilot. I love this. Hopping to soon fly commercial🎉 I love the PC-12. Once i raise enough funds to complete my PPL😪. NICE VIDEO
Such an awesome video, Shamir, thanks for the effort!
And by the way, why don't they clear you to land at SBH? And that marshaler should be ashamed! :)
Hi buddy! the SBH AFIS (works as a Unicom on CTAF) will give out traffic advisories and weather information for all inbound and outbound traffic. It is up to each PIC to maintain separation from other traffic. Thanks for watching again!
@@fersobe Thanks for the answer, Shamir! Didn't realize it was basically a CTAF.
Shamir, the video is nothing but outstanding quality and presentation as I always. Yes,I did the routes you described and anguilla as well.ahhhh such lovely flying in xplane!!!😀
Thanks Chris! Hope you liked those short hops :-D

Best channel of life
yo are so good soon taking pilatus from teterboro to lake placid
Nice job buddy! You made that landing look easy! I hope to get on with Tradewind next year. They reached out to me and hopefully it will turn into a job offer. Blue skies my friend!!
did you get the job?
@@josueamparo1677 i declined. I could not take the job as it was east coast based and I need to be west coast.
Nice video, nice audio. Thanks bro.
More video please 😁
The intro is wack!!!!! Love it. Please do more.
That Twin Otter showing off with the STOL capabilities at the end 😂. Those guys probably operate at Saba regularly by the looks of it. Loving the series.
Its embarrassing, thinking I did a great landing and this guys clear the runway in a heartbeat hahahahaha!
Love from Bangladesh ☺️🇧🇩
Great video series, love the uncut full flight style with ATC audio! Question: Is the rudder always coupled to the ailerons when on the ground on the PC12?
Hi Lionel, glad you liked it. Yes, it is coupled when on the ground!
T✈️ was having fun at the NY later on my first time and yes get it free
Can u explain a little about charts ? Ils and loc and visuals ?
Planes going backwards 😳😳😳
I’m trippin
Good job
Hey Shamir, why tower don’t give a clear to land? Cool vid bro, very professional flying 💪🏻
Eliab Zizelman CTAF Tower or AFIS in French. The only thing they do unusual is IFR CLEARANCE given by Juliana, less work charge for them. That’s help Juliana to not give clearance in the air as PC12 are fast.
Hi Eliab, as Pierre said, the AFIS is kind of a CTAF Unicom frequency. They will provide airport traffic advisories and winds. It is up to you to report every position and make sure you keep clear of all traffic.
Never do an offset approach ?
Usually when wind are at 060 we go on the extreme right as we can to avoid turbulence and wind shear. Then do the last turn over the roundabout and give a smile to photograph.
Hi Pierre, oui!!! I do the offset!!! It's the only way to make it in on those winds!!! Thanks for tagging along as always!
I see you have upped your production skills! And you make the landing at SBH look easy ha ha ha.
Is Tradewind still hiring by chance? In case I get furloughed...
Thanks Matt! I appreciate your comments. for the time-being, it is to my understanding that only cargo-only carriers are hiring!
Please tell what does the atc controller continuously speaking you
I go to st barths all the time, I have never seen this pilatus liver, what airline is this?
Hi, is an amazing video, in this aproach what is your speed with full flaps.
Thanks Roman, Full flaps can be set at no more than 130 knots and you can fly down all the way to 64 knots. Usually I'm on the 80-90 knots mark on the approach with Flaps 40.
Helllo bro why are you not uploading viedio
Great video again Shamir. Gosh what do we love Baby Sexy. You really get paid to fly a dreamplane like her from one paradise to another? :-). It's a short hop, I assume it doesn't go high either? What makes it necessary to set the pressurization anyways?
Hi Buddy! The PC-12 pressurization system can maintain a sea level cabin altitude up to around 14,000 ft. However, this system is pretty antiquated, so double checking its setting is always a must.
Great video. Ever run into Steveo1kinevo? Are you grounded too?
Actually I did see his plane once, he has a vlog of a flight down to Puerto Rico and I flew to that same airport he landed, caught his plane on the ramp!
Thank you for this Video! Is there a reason, why the PC-12 trims nose-heavy after touchdown?
Hi Nick, I'm glad you liked it. the Flaps on the PC-12 are enormous. They create a great deal of drag and nose down attitude. Thats why trimming it is essential for landing with full flaps.
Did you just land St. Barths?
I was off the day you wrote this comment!
@@fersobe Great landing! Really, great one!
which airline do you work for? :)
What is your main mission? Cargo or passengers
Hi Alexis, I fly passengers. Though things might change with this COVID19 deal.
You still flying in this Covid world? (I know this video was made in Dec 2019). Wondering how these airports look now..
This was uploaded 2 days ago
Hi Roberto, Unfortunately no. I'm not flying for the time being. Which is good in a way as I can publish old content that i haven't been able to put together for you guys!
Is it your private plane ?
Could I fly on this aircraft having only PPL?
You could in the United States as long as you have a complex and high performance endorsement.
@@fersobe sorry but what does it mean?
Who do you work for and what are the requirements to be hired?
Hi Nathan. I work for a New England's Base 135 operator called Tradewind. They like to hire SICs with around 800 hours. Currently they are not hiring.
hi, how to set Pressurisation? if i fly FL200, so i set at the knob FL200?
