Late 60's I was a line boy at Goshen. Fueling planes when they would land. Putting customers planes away for them. Cleaning the bellies of the rental planes. Loved all of it. One cold winter day similar to your day. A 210 landed for fuel and the pilot was Eddie Rickenbacker Junior. Son of WW1 ace Eddie Rickenbacker. Very nice guy.
Great flight Grant, appreciate all the detail you pass on prior to departure and during the flight and landing procedure. Having a good knowledgeable pilot is a must for great flight operations and that you are and thanks again for the flight stats. 👍👍👍👍👍
Great job Grant from pre-departure planning considerations through the challenging landing with excellent SA throughout. You could even sense the higher GS through video compared to your usual landings. Nice job on integration and editing. As always, I really appreciate you sharing this content.
Another great video Grant. I have enjoyed it very much as I always do. I am already looking forward for the next one! Kind regards from Switzerland. Felix
@@GrantBaker watching the Pilatus has shifted my preferences somewhat away from the TBM 930/940, I must say I now prefer the PC-12. Can't wait to fly it in MSFS soon (sadly the closest I'll get to piloting one haha) Take it easy, sir. Fly safe 👍
It would have been interesting to see SiriusXM/Foreflight compared to the other 2. NEXRAD has been around since 1988! It's a little, or a lot dated! LOL 8) --gary
Gary, both SiriusXM and ADSB show NEXRAD radar. I don’t currently have an ADSB receiver (like a Sentry) to get weather on Foreflight. When we had the 421 with dual GTN750s, I had the XM on one and ADSB on the other so I could easily compare. It’s generally very close, but sometimes there are differences.
111-thousand??? (@ 18:13) You were really up there ;-) (Might have been an edit glitch too...) Excellent video sir as usual!! Question, do you think these crazy fuel prices will impact your flying??? Or is aviation important enough that you fly regardless of the fuel prices?? I know when I flew, (90's), when prices spiked the flying virtually stopped and it didn't matter whether it was personal or corporate... Safe travels sir :-)
Brian, I’m not sure where it originated but I hear a lot of other guys saying it too. For 10k-17k I usually say one one-eleven thousand, one two-twelve thousand, etc. So far, fuel prices haven’t had any affect on our flying. But that could always change. They’re sure getting up there right now!
Steve, personally I’m not a big fan of the look of it. The specs all look good, but I haven’t done much research to see if the promises are realized in actual operations.
A few times now I have heard pilots refer to a turboprop as a “jet”. Is this common? I know a turboprop is essentially a jet engine with a propeller, but it seems to me these are not interchangeable terms. No?
Correct! Brad was talking about a jet, not a turboprop. It made the video because I thought it was great advice about staying ahead of the airplane, but I cut part of the conversation out. So that’s my mistake for making it unclear!

Wow that’s really cool! Definitely have the opportunity to meet some interesting people working as a line guy.
I’d add nailing an approach at night at a big airport. Seeing a lit up airport after breaking out near minimums at night is magical!
Oh yeah that’s really something to see!
Thank you, Grant. Great presentation.
Brief, good CRM, land, debrief all gained with time and experience. Great discussion up front on the trip thanks Grant and Steve.. Safe travels ✈️
Very nice job handling the tail wind Grant. Another great video !
Thanks Larry! Missed you on the premiere, hope all is well in Texas!
Another great edit mate. Thanks for letting us ride along with you! Keep 'em coming. :)
Thanks Tim!
Yep, Kansans and Okies can fly in just about anything. Nice ride as always Capt Grant. Thanks.
😁💨💨
Thank you sir. Great to see the more detailed content for the IFR approach!
I’m looking forward to getting the Flying IFR aboard the PC-12

Thanks Randy! I was surprised at how noticeable the high GS was when I was editing it.
well done good calm pilots

Thanks Felix!
This is what IFR is all about flying the Approach to minimums or go missed
Yessir, and you always have to be prepared for the possibility of a missed no matter the conditions!
Very nice, as usual mate. Pretty close to minimums on the descent there! Very satisfying when you see the runway though, no go around needed haha.
Yep it was!

MUAHAHAHAHA MY EVIL PLAN IS WORKING!😂
Another awesome video Grant. Leaving the approach chart on the screen was really great and always with new ideas. well done.
Thanks!
Awesome approach on this one!!!!
Thanks Ron, it was interesting with that wind!
@@GrantBaker
But you’re from Kansas!!!!!
Learning to fly in Kansas is a definite advantage, that’s for sure!
Thanks for your upload!
All preflight walk around is complete
Always interesting. Thank you. 😎
Great job.
Thanks Peter!
Take off Brief is done and complete as required
Great job on the videos Grant.👍 I would love to check out the Pilatus 🛫 if your ever back at KNEW or KBTR and if you have the time.
JT, send me an email at pilatusgrant@gmail.com. I'm headed to KNEW again! :)
Grant I’ll call and get the weather briefing and file
😁
Nice job
Thanks!
Very good grant, looking forward of creating some content alike yours, flying same aircraft. I’ll probably do spanish content. Keep it up!
Thanks! It’ll be good having some Spanish PC12 content!
@@GrantBaker sure! Let’s try and see how it goes! Hopefully as good as you!
I also like the music in your video. You composed it yourself??
Thanks! No I don’t compose it myself.

Is there transient hangar space at Lakefront?
I assume so Terry, but I didn’t ask about it.
Hey Grant!!! What do you think of the 7 blade prop on the PC-12?
