YMH was at their funniest when they could steal O&A bits - happened on a weekly basis, never quite as funny as the bbbbboys were, who did it 5 days a week for 5 hrs a day. Then YMH would hit, use the same clips, take the edge off the jokes, and then try to sell you merch. O&A invented the podcast “format” completely by accident, and were better than most that came after - they gave you so many of the comics that people love today, and allowed them to just say whatever was on their mind with no structure or direction.

I even quit a job I really needed that paid well. Just walked off the job in the middle of the day without saying anything to anyone because someone pissed me off. Months later once the TRT had completely left my body and mind, I realized it was 100 percent because of the testosterone. Guests are now shown 3 or 4 "harmless" clips because they are there to promote stuff and so on. But that's the way it is. She couldnt keep her partially fabricated backstory straight anymore. Some parts were always obvious-she made it seem that she was an immigrant from Hungary when she is one from Canada-but others, like pretending she was really poor, have had the truth ooze out more over time. She’d slip and refer to a stepdad as “loaded” in one story and then “correct” the lie and he’d be poor in the next mention. Or, her bio dad was in abject poverty doing odd jobs when she was a teen in one story and then a few months later she would slip up and say he owned a successful machinery business since she was little.

stopped watching YMH around when Two Bears One Cave started, the entire vibe of the podcast changed completely. the show used to be full of hilarious inside jokes, wild ‘cool guy’ (their term for weirdos online) content, and were generally more relatable & likeable people. once Tom went full rich guy mode, after years of being around Rogan, and leaned haaaard into it, I was done. that clip of him explaining the situation to Bert, while being visibly upset, was so jarring - look at Bert’s face. you know you you’ve made a drastic mistake when someone as non-self aware as Burnt Chrysler is looking at you flabbergasted. Segura is the definition of, “now that I have money, I don’t even have to pretend to be likeable anymore, I can be myself - aka a complete & total asshole”. It was never a huge secret Tom was a jerk, but now that he’s juiced up and very well off, he doesn’t even make an attempt to conceal it in a n y way. so, now that the ‘cats out of the bag’ with Tom’s real personality on display, it’s made Christina’s ridiculous mental health advice & borderline r*tarded statements just glaringly difficult to watch. I hadn’t even seen that Tarantino clip (as again I stopped watching & don’t watch TBOC) and my god am I glad I did. Imagine being so full of yourself, you disrespect a literal film savant, whom just also happens to be one of the most influential directors of all time. I was a big YMH fan, starting in 2015, but I have stopped following since the pandemic. The reason podcasts resonate with me is if the format is really unique and/or the hosts are authentic and there to just be silly. It's a parasocial hang with people you like. Tom and Christina lost their authenticity, plain and simple. Tom wants to be both old and current Howard Stern, abusing his staff for laughs while also interviewing celebrities. The former comes off as just mean, and he's not skilled enough to pull off the latter. Thr spin off shows aren't interesting, either. I tune into Are You Garbage and Chubby Behemoth these days.

When they switched to the ugly "McDonald's" studio, the first thing I did was take a screenshot of them and their plainly discouraged faces seated at their stupid branded lecterns and send it to my partner with the words "there's no coming back from this." Pete Holmes casually roasting their vanity a few episodes later (Ep. 483) sealed the deal.

Paid for it, got ROASTED by the fans and made it a bit that McDonald's sponsored them. This seems like a common repeating theme within the "Rogansphere" in particular... fans try their best to keep listening/watching, and giving these "comics" ways out and the benefit of doubt, but naturally lose interest despite trying not to. Then over time, and with the benefit of hindsight, and channels like @ComedyEnforcement we start to realize their delusion and how they all seem to have strayed from what made them funny/interesting to begin with. I remember thinking Tom Segura was one of the funniest comedians back in the mid 2000's, his album with the jokes about the "surprise pregnancies" or whatever that show was, and that version of him is unrecognizable now. Also, Louis C.K. deserves all the props in the world for keeping it real, if anyone is worthy of giving comedy advice, it's him. He's one of the GOAT's imho. Congrats on the 100k subs!
