I think people were sending him messages saying their talk about luxury items was boring and not what they wanted to see. The whole "it makes me feel bad" sounds like Tom making assumptions about why people were complaining.
Tom is a perfect example of how it's not L.A. that changes people. It's the money. Also, I like how the austin exodus comedians thought that the L.A. comedy scene would die when they left. It just made room for other established and up-and-coming talent to get their shot.
The whole “money changed him” idea doesn’t really add up though, because he was already rich for many years before he went through this change. I agree with the creator of the video, I think it was more about the accident and his response to it.

Tom didn't change, this was the person he always was. He put on a facade of normality to milk the most money out of his endeavors and then reverted to type when he felt he could milk them no more

If you’ve ever known a highly egotistical person you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about.
No, Tom did change. He had a catastrophic, extremely public injury, whilst at the SAME time, probably making 10x more money than he’s used to. This stuff DOES change someone. When the entire world is falling apart, you’re more successful than you’ve ever been, and you had a legitimate health crisis, you might dial in and become very practical very fast. Tom couldn’t help but capitalize on everything being thrown at him, and probably became a slave to this opportunity. I didn’t stop watching YMH becuase Tom became a dick, he was kinda always a bit of a dick. It just became a whole lot less fun, becuase I can tell Tom isn’t having any fun. It’s all very inorganic and purpose built. We can feel how forced it is. That’s the problem. Edit: Oh yeah, he also had two kids during this period. If you can’t see how all this could overcook a person and alter them, you’re not thinking about it right.

i love the one call with top dog where tom tells his dad he needs some updog, and top dog tells him it's like a 4th grade joke. which makes tom spit his drink out.
calling top dog never got old, but charo's gaslighting materialistic BS gets old immediately.
The funniest thing to me is Tom thinking he looks good wearing really expensive clothes. He doesn't

What a gay comment 😂
I have a theory that his testosterone shots are making him act like this. For real. You’re not supposed to have T levels of a 17 yr old when you’re 50.
I think it's a culmination of things such as The accident, the loss of his father alongside Ayahuasca
Legit, I’ve used to go on and off testosterone many years back and it can turn you alot more apathetic and fearless, makes you way more competitive too and less humble. So glad I stopped because I’m much less egoic with my decision making and feel a lot more human, probably due to estrogen getting unchecked though. But they way these idiots acts as well as Joe Rogan was similar to myself back then. Just my thoughts.

Money changes everyone.
I mean, look at you comedy enforcement. You started with 1 camera angle and now you have 2.
Money gets to everyone. Even you.
But some people retain their humility or at least pretend too.
They’re becoming the new Schuab and Callen. Nice vid
This
They always were in the same exact tier. Bert and Tom are marginally more talented than Schaub but that’s about it. They are all in the same group of “Comedians Rogan gave a career despite having never told a funny joke in their life.”
The evolution of Bert's laugh to squeal is also illustrated in this compilation.
Been cool watching your channel grow, been here since you had around 15k subs. Now you’re dropping hour long bangers.
Can see the improvements on the editing and overall quality too.
Keep going dude, you’re killin it.
I've enjoyed your videos for a while, but I never found it THAT impressive, but wholefully informative. However, because I enjoy your videos, I just let this autoplay and 25 minutes in, I thought "Oh my GOD, he's doing the entire lycanthropic transformation of Segura?!" And despite finding it very entertaining, I checked the time stamp to see my progress. I saw that you somehow got this massive, amalgamatory corruption of a man (Segura) somehow observed and critiqued efficiently and accurately IN LESS THAN AN HOUR. It's extremely impressive that you created such an expeditionary synopsis of a complete machine (no pun intended) in just an hour, and as a fan, I'm impressed. You're awesome, man! And your research is bar none!
The thing is Tom comes from a wealthy family he’s always been this way
He was middle class at best. His dad was a VP at Merril Lynch. There are hundreds of those & he wasn’t based out of NYC. He was in the backwaters. Cleveland & FLA.
His great grandfather was a lumber magnate and his grandpa owned a railroad and married an heiress. He comes from extreme wealth but didnt ever get to enjoy it due to him being a fat slob.@samanthab1923

Love that new camera angle lol. Crazy to see how good your channel is doing over time! Deserved!!!
They somehow become more successful the worse they get. There is a big lag between when early fans and the masses catch on to what's cool and good. By the time the masses catch on...it's already past it's peak and on the way down. We're literally seeing it with Tom and Bert except they believe it's only the beginning lol. All their early fans regularly crap on them online
I think deep down, they’re both aware that the ship is slowly but surely sinking
Tarantino roasting him is still hilarious
dude this is exactly what i needed to kick off the weekend
Thank you for the quality and effort for this video. Really is mind blowing the comparison so much has changed. I miss those days
Some of your best work yet, well done 👍
i really enjoy your channel.
while there are a few channels similar to yours, you do dives and hit points that nobody else hits re the comic circuit.
i hope you keep growing. you deserve it.
I'm more sad for Danny Brown, dude is an insanely talented artist and got a YMH show right before the wheels fell off, and now he's locked into a contract with the lolcow of comedy podcasts with some washed up child stars and a playboy bunny with no Nadav to save them from cringe hell
That’s his fault 😂would you sign to Tom and Bert ?
Serves him right for being a dick to Pauly shore
Awesome job putting this all together! This channel better blow up
Think about this Bobby and Andrew talk about money all the time but they have always stayed true to the podcast and they're actually funny
Santino is funny. He's flirting with the line of unbearable, too though. Way too sensitive to criticism Bobby always been C tier
Great video!
Something occurred to me while you were going over Tom's watch rant that hadn't before. I don't think people were sending him DMs saying he and Bert talking about expensive things like watches made them feel bad. I think people were sending him messages saying their talk about luxury items was boring and not what they wanted to see. The whole "it makes me feel bad" sounds like Tom making assumptions about why people were complaining.
Those old clips are only a few years old and they are all in their 40s but somehow sound like they are all 20 in them lol
Thats a great point.
Broh this is Golden one of your best that I've seen from your library.
Thank you,
Thanks!
You do a great job of covering this dude. Miles ahead of 2lazy and podcast cringe. Keep it up and you’ll be call all of us poors in no time :)

@@therainman7777 You are right. He always had this meanness to him that I couldn't get on board with. Even before the money.

I really appreciate these contextual outlines. I have been going down a rabbit hole with all the drama on these podcasts. It’s so hard to figure out why people are fighting and breaking up. This helps me understand what’s going on.
Appreciate all the effort u put into this channel u are for the peoplee great work keep it up brother
Tom didn't change, this was the person he always was.
He put on a facade of normality to milk the most money out of his endeavors and then reverted to type when he felt he could milk them no more
It’s a theory, but I kind of doubt it. If he was really always this self-absorbed and egotistical, I think it would have been unbearable for him to present himself publicly as a slob or an ordinary average Joe.
One of your most comprehensive and better videos.
McAfee is so cringe
Godbless you for watching the entire catalogue lmao youre doding Gods work
dude this was so well done. i absolutely agree im already not a big fan of either guys and this was about as much of them as i can take. super glad i could watch something about them that matched my sentiments exactly while exposing the man for who he has become and keeping me entertained the entire way. well done my friend, please keep up the good work!
Aren’t bears some type of term for gay dudes with beards 😂
This was well put together, thanks.
I think Nadav leaving also affected the podcast big time his laugh was great.
Great job on this. Didn’t honestly think I would listen to it all but I woke up and had to get ready and it actually was all really well done. Valid points and with proof . I couldn’t ask for more well done
Also halfway through, your comment about his “body literally broke in half” had me legit laugh out loud in the shower imaging him break in half and how it would happen; half down the middle horizontally or a vertical break of half him. Obviously he had the vertical in real-life. True weak kneed Tommy
Tom is 100% cringe now and Bert has amazingly become more likeable.
Nice job on the video

Tom will claim it was all a bit. He always does.
yeah he's a coward.
I don't know how I missed this til now. I am a regular enjoyer of your content. Having something like this to do a deep dive into suits you well.
Ohhh shit I see what he’s doing…The Comedy Enforcement guy is gonna be doing arenas in a couple years. Dayum bro what a slick way of hinting at it! 😂
He's become incredibly unlikable while his wife Christina P still seems chill. I wonder how she feels about it all.
Like the cut away to an side profile is a nice touch I been noticing you added after I believe your Vegas trip
Maybe Tom counted on his dad to help keep him grounded. It must have been a terrible loss for him. They were pretty tight.
You lose your dad, you have two kids, you have one of the most extreme preposterous injuries ever in a public fashion, you watch as the world eats itself alive, and you’ve NEVER been more successful on the biggest tour of your life. Any one of these things can change someone, but all of this happened in like a 5 year time span.
This is very well done. Thanks for listening to 300 episode of 2b1c to make this 😂
I totally forgot that story from tom at 17:00 and it legitimately made me laugh really hard again. Man i miss the old days of this show.
Be careful on how you treat people when you going up....because they will be the same people youll see when you be going down.
This was fantastic. Great work👏🏼 I respect and pretty much always agree with your opinions/conclusions. Keep it up!
Losing your father can definitely change you let’s not forget that❤
This one is a big one bub.. Glad your channel is doing so well. Keep it up
Tom didn't change, he just took the mask off
exactly, if some weight loss and success turns you into that then he was always like that deep down he just didn't have the confidence to show it before
I’m convinced YMH just has they’re staff playing their podcasts on loop and mute in separate tabs while doing their other work just to gain views
I called it about my best friend, and I'm calling it for Tom. He's leaving his wife this year. He's completely different as a person, he's leveled up where millionaire feels poor and he realizes Bert is someone billionaires toss millions at as a clown to entertain them
Great video man!

Very impressed. Wasn't the biggest fan of recent videos but this was outstanding. I appreciate you sir!
is there a best of Tom Segura podcast moments compilation to watch on UA-cam? because I've literally never seen the guy say something funny. People say he fell off which implies he used to be funny? When? I'm not talking stand up, I mean as a talk show guy. He's just sits there being boring hoping that the other person says something funny. Or are his podcasts not supposed to be funny and i don't get it? Someone please explain why people watch these two talk, i don't get it
🙌🏼
He's terrible. People who liked him are terrible judges of what's good and what's not. He was never funny.
the original podcast he had was literally just react content, Tom fans are much lower in mental capacity than say rogan fans, which is saying a lot.
I liked his early early stand ups. Thought he was a funny guy. Standups have progressively gotten worse, and I only see his podcast stuff on these criticisms videos because the dumpster fire fascinates me. Bert is insufferable and not funny but at least seems like a good friend. Tom's become arrogant and pretentious
his early shit was good he was funny imo, first 2 specials make me laugh
For what it's worth, I was an enormous fan of YMH from very early on, so seeing what Tom and the show/network have become is an enormous bummer. It seems like all sense of self-awareness has been completely lost. It's so weird to watch Tom and Christina totally and unironically devolve into the exact type of people they used to point and laugh at when they were building their audience.
I don't think I'm alone among og fans of Tom and YMH that think the key turning points for Tom was when his dad died and when he got hurt from the dunk contest. Its like the combination of the loss of his dad keeping him grounded with the months of the entire internet laughing at his life-threatening injury really changed everything.
In any event, money and fame remain undefeated against any attempt to be a normal fucking person.
Unfortunately, I fear that Shane is headed this way as well. When the fame and fortune comes so quickly, it’s impossible to not change for the worse.
on one hand you've got the toxic rogan verse pulling him in that direction, on the other hand you've got legion of skanks keeping him honest
To be fairly optimistic, Shane as shown tendencies towards humility. Hell, the guy was embarassed being called king in the LOS pod after SNL. I know most of them (those in the controversy) were kind of humble by status. However, even on Joe's pod, he dont show signs of superiority out of the ordinary. (We all are proud to not shit in bottles, I wish) Hoarders reference*
Theo is a proof that tendency is indicative of being real.
If Shane become full of himself Mckusker will keep the dawg in check. He is the Shaman for a reason.
EDIT: Clarity (failed, butt fuck it, we ball)
He already is in some ways ,I listen to the MSSP from a few years ago basically exclusively now. He’s scared to get cancelled again and censors himself a lot.Still a really big fan of his ,never really liked Matt .
Matt contradicts himself too much and acts as if he’s knowledgeable on things he knows basically nothing about.
@@coffee.3.4 yeah, I mean it's a podcast, people always say dumb stuff and will face scrutiny if said things are too bad. If you dont like Matt it's on you thought, what Matt say will be probably more annoying to you then it should, which is normal. Everyone talk as if they are knowledgeable about stuff, it's nromal they are comedian not teachers.
This took a lot of time/effort… It’s appreciated
Tom is an example of a guy that wasn’t meant to have TRT. He’s been a low test guy his whole life, Rohan convinced him to get in TRT, and it changed him into something intolerable.
As some who’s on TRT, and gotten many friends on it, I can see this from a mile away. He loves the feeling, but it’s not his natural state.
For some it brings you back to what you were and you can handle it just fine, like myself. But for others, they’ve never had the experience of high test and they just can’t handle it and turn into repulsive unstable idiots.
Thanks for always delivering great content 🙌🏾
Tom Seguras downfall is waaaaay more interesting than Berts or Brendans, hands down!!!
