The truth is, there's a an excess of clothing in the world, and oftentimes you actually have to spend time and even money just to give unwanted clothes away.
Regarding the Henley, some of the men's style advisers here on UA-cam say it should only be worn by buff dudes, since it highlights the chest and abdomen and looks terrible on guys who are less well put together than Alpha is. So how fit do I have to be to sport a Henley compared to a button-down or polo shirt?
If you are are a slim guy then try in a store to see what size looks best on you and I suggest a white or light grey colour to look a bit bigger but if you are a skinny guy then henley shirts are probably not for you. I've worn Henley shirts a long time and my weight has fluctuated from skinny to slim to athletic and rather well built and my lowest and largest weights did not suit henly shirts. On my lower body weights flannel shirts can look great once you fin the right colour scheme in the right size patterns for you. Flannel shirts look great, look manly and they can create the impression that your body is as fit as your mind and that is important when wanting to dress casual and still have confidence in how you look. Bring slimmer you should have things fit a bit closer by altering them yourself or paying someone to do it because wide sleeves do not give the impression of big arms and this goes for the body too. Do not go for those skinny fits but slim fits for the best results and this goes for trousers too. Straight cut or slim fit for jeans, suits, joggers, cargo pants or whatever you wear will look a lot better than something that is baggy, especially if you are not that tall. If you want to look better in everything then you could start to work out somewhat but honestly, only do it if it is for you and not for anybody else. Dress cool, look great, feel confident and never stop being awesome.
Hey Aaron, what do you do with the clothes that go into this trashbag? Maybe instead of simply throwing them out, try giving them a new life and just donate them to local shelters for homeless people or something like that? Yeah, I'm older too and I switched over to fleece pull overs like the ones made by Columbia. They're basically a hoodie without the hoodie and also warmer. I started wearing it as a mid-layer when out camping, and honestly, they look even better for wearing in the city as well. For what it is worth, younger guys also look better in these than they do in hoodies as well.
