- Here is the song Why Can't I Breathe from Creep's 1992/1993 Self Titled demo tape! This was ripped in 320 kbps direct from the demo tape and redone for best sound! MP3's are available for download on KoRnMemorabilia.com! Enjoy!
its crazy how replacing one person changed the band so much.
Straight up Faith No More sounding song, I dig it
I can see this is where david perfected his style.
Would be really awesome to see Korn recruit this singer for a reunion show where they play these songs again, maybe have JD sing too idc. I would just love to see them play these songs live, including “See Through”, the song that later evolved into “my gift to you”. This is to me their best non-korn material.
This sounds like "this broken soul"
It is
0:50 reminds me of “seasons in the abyss” by slayer!!
Your pfp is a baddie (I agree btw)
Jon is such a better fit for this type of music. ...I guarantee they wouldn't have become nearly as famous with this guy as their singer cuz there were way too many other guys who sounded just like him back in these days.
Sure, but they would've had more metal integrity if they had actually released a full album in this style. This shit is heavy as fuck, and it thrashes, and has great timing and everything. I actually would throw this in my cassette/cd player before I ever put korn in it.
@LeadMe2TheBliss it's not necessarily the overly polished major label sound that I have problems with. I just can't get into the actual music lol. I've been periodically giving them a chance since high school. It most likely isn't ever going to change.
@@morsteen How is copping someone else's vocal style? Plus he is right they sound like every other band out there. Without Davis they wouldn't make enough to make ends meet cause they sound too much like everyone else.
Lol... This isn't the "numetal" sound Korn would later make. This is 90s grunge/ metal, they wanted to be Alice in Chains here it's obvious, they had to "dumb" it down for Jon, he wouldn't fit this style. The singer here is actually very good and fitting here. Being a 90s kid I have a hard time deciding which is better, this or Korn's debut because both are awesome in their own way.
Who fucking cares about fame. The music was WAY better when they were "Creep".
Whoa sounds like Alice in Chains with a funkier bass
The groove reminds me of godsmack
This was many years before Godsmack came out
Yo the Godsmack song Bad Religion does have this vibe 100%. lol
Godsmack copied Korn and AIC.
@@TheDeadStretch You're absolutely right. They copied the riff, but I love Korn so much that I can't blame them or get mad at them. It's pretty much identical. 😂I guess we're all sort of guilty of that though, all metal bands pretty much just ripped off Black Sabbath.
Holy shit!
sounds like mouth to mouth by faith no more. I mean i guess mouth to mouth sounds like this!
The singer sounds like an Anthrax vocalist lol
Prokurator DziuraWDupie. It is very similar to John Bush.
Anthrax and Staley.
1993 i think Kurt Cobain would love it if it was released
This is heavily Faith no More / Mike Patton inspired though (which Cobain had years to enjoy but kind of didn't).
heavy as fuxk 🔥
you cant hide from me...
alice in chains??? definitely
cool
Sounds like Meshuggah's early stuff in that intro
It does a lot.
Spot on
Kinda sounds like you better run by motor head
Ross Robinson! The same man who produced slipknot!
This isnt korn
Its all the members of korn. Except Johnathan is missing
You're right. This is what the band sounded like before they ruined it by replacing the singer with Jonathan Davis, dumbing down the music, changing musical styles, and changing their name to "Korn". This is MUCH better than Korn.
@@DeadPixel1105 better than Korn?🤣 They sound identical to faith no more. They sound generic. Thank God for Jon.they would have never developed there creepy cool heavy sound. So thank you Jon
@@DeadPixel1105 no offense but full offense you are so wrong
@@DeadPixel1105 this is a dumbed down version of faith no more. Korn managed to make an entire fucking genre
