If I'm not mistaken, Creep has all of Korn's lineup except for Jonathan Davis! The project started with grunge influence !!! Because it sounds a lot like alice in chains
Head said this guy sounded like Layne Staley in his book. He wasn't wrong. Its so weird hearing it, its like an alternate universe where Layne joined Korn
I've been getting back into the old-school rare KoЯn-type material lately and I'm still quite surprised songs 6-8 off of the second CreeP demo tape, have not surface anywhere online yet. There's a picture of a guy holding the demo tape in his hand with the songs "Dead Wrong", "We the People" and "Painted Man" as the only songs we don't have. "See Thru" is absolutely amazing, so I'm assuming the rest are probably just as good. I know somebody (not just one person) is sitting on this tape and they need to give it up. I mean, come on, it's 2022! We need to hear the rest of these! Anyways, some other delicious KoЯnfull treats I've discovered lately are SpЯawl, D-Fakt, SexArt, Adam Head, Flymore, Creepy Crawl, Fadelow, Juice, Jerc, PoNi and Pornstone.
I get what people are saying about the voice for the style of music, but he is an amazing singer in his own right, I hear a TON of Layne Staley being channeled here.
@@billrobertjoe I mean, fair point lmao. It's just sung the exact same way with the same emphasis in the words in both songs. Just thought it was pretty cool.
You can say what you want about the old singer Corey - but in this kind of arrangement he was a perfect fit. I especially love the chorus... comes pretty thick and hard. And to be quite frank, I like it more than "My Gift To You".
This my Gift to you actually, the demo version of predictable is Why can't I Breathe ,well sort of since the main riff of Why Can't I Breathe was used in only the bridge of Predictable.
eh kinda sorta, the one you're thinking of is Rich Morrill, but he quit due to his drug addiction, they then recuited roadie Head as a 2nd guitarist and got a person named Corey on vocals and changed their name to Creep, sometime later Corey left and JD joined and they changed their name to Korn.

Pero quien canta
whoa, that distortion sounds better than some metal albums release today
Adrian yeah at least some of the 2010s is over hyped and it or overrated lol
2:30 sounds so hardcore. hard to think about Korn
look up Christmas Song-Korn
That does sound super hardcore influenced lol they did love thrash tho coming up

sure enough. here I am minding the same thing
Corey sounds a little like Mike Patton, Joey Belladonna and Layne Staley all mixed together imo.
I hear it too
yup total staley vibes mixed in there.
So they went from that Suicidal Tendencies/RHCP sound to Alice In Chains/Pantera sound. Interesting.
lmao none of those bands sound remotely similar
@@uglyboibitchtitss well that mix is what paved way for nu metal
Hardcore punk + funk metal + grunge + thrash/groove = nu metal
Yeah I been saying for a while Korn is pretty much groove metal + grunge
starting at 0:33 is the guitar riff from My Gift to You
I was searching for a commenter to say that. Thank you.
I noticed that too
En el minuto 3:36 fue imposible empezar a cantar la parte
I get what people are saying about the voice for the style of music, but he is an amazing singer in his own right, I hear a TON of Layne Staley being channeled here.
To me, it sounds generic. Doesn’t mean it’s bad, but JD fits this bands sound/atmosphere wayy better
2:59 "This ain't the time, this ain't the place"
Did Jonathan really re-use this line in "I Will Protect You" 14 years later?
it's like it's a common phrase
But yes
@@billrobertjoe I mean, fair point lmao. It's just sung the exact same way with the same emphasis in the words in both songs. Just thought it was pretty cool.
It would make sense
This isn't Jonathan

I'm currently on the hunt for the other Creep demo tape...if anyone has it PLEASE let me know!
@Jahchild Mel they didn't have any under creep so maybe a bootleg
@@roadsitck1 lol u crazy

Layne on vocals lol
It took me hours to find this. It's like korn tried to erase this or something.
it is "My Gift To You" Riff
Thank God Jon took this guys place, it sounds 10 times better with him on the vocals.
“Yaaaaaaaassssss”

I thought Cory got fired because of some altercation with Ross Robinson.
@alexcarternation, same thing I said. Sounds a lot like Alice in Chains.
totally agree , very cool song
for some reason! I prefer this version than my gift to you :p
This guys voice, is pretty kickass, but it isn't for nu-metal.
There was no such thing as nu metal back then, just grunge, that's why he sounds like this XD
you mean my gift to you ?
Jons voice was the voice of real kid brutalized by society….
That isn’t Jon mate
Badass. Sounds like helmet
John Duran de hecho es my gift to you
Alice In Chains,Acid Bath and a little bit of Mr.Bungle, right?
Hello friends, I've been after this great work for years, could you please give me the download link?
Sounds like Layne Staley. Current AIC needs to find this singer (obviously this is not Jon Davis)
Yep same guitar riff
Oh okay, thanks :)
Did this vocalist go on to do anything else after this?
My Gift To You demo basically?
Was this on the demo tape produced by Ross Robinson?
Yes, Ross has been working with Korn since 1992, possibly even earlier.
gift to you
The download link in Kornmemorabilia is down, re-upload it please
Yes, listen to derpy hooves, kornmemorabilia.
Who was the singer
fucking amazing. would be better if jon was singing though.
We sure this is actually korn?
Yes, Creep was the 4 original members before they found a new singer and formed Korn
Is jon davis on vocals?
No it’s not.
@@5150Reaper so whos on vocals? Listening to it again now i hear some alice in chains.
@@rsaldivar8 corey mc something
who’s doing vocals on this?
Corey Hughs A.K.A CORBO
Sounds like the guy from FNM.
They should have kept the name creep.
Kяeep 😂 Honestly it would have been a cool ass name, and it would have fit the music perfectly!
is this the same bloke from LAPD?
first
I think you mean "Lame" on vocals.
sounds like predictable
andy holtby dude this is the earlier version of my gift to you
This is a direct rip off of love hate love.
No wonder this didn't take off. Generic AIC
