Unfortunately one of its downfalls is what you state. The costs in labor for turn around is something that is always left out. The Net Net Net costs of operation as well as added airport costs for the a380 is part of its inefficiencies. The bottom line of costs per fares and empty seats It just came way way to late 25 Billion Euros that will never be recovered by Airbus or the European Consortium, Funny the European Consortium is who actually pays for new Airbus Aircraft.
@Charlie Hickman ( i’m an editor too … tv news…egad… Edius and long ago Avid ) SO I can truly appreciate your excellent producing and editing . Very. NICE ! ✨✈️👍
Amazing job as always, great BTS of Qantas at LAX! 🔥🔥🔥Love how your TV experience has manifested into your passion for Aviation.🙌🙌 Keep doing you and stay focused on your WHY!!
Great video, your insights and specials are what separate you from the other guys. Always look forward to a new look inside video! Congratulations you two are true professionals
Hello Kevin & Rudy, Very interesting and cool video. Also this Amazing A380. Really, really like your videos behind the scenes. It contains great info, cool footage and always proffesional 🙂👍🇸🇪🇺🇸 Well done and lots of Greetings from the Lovgren’s in Sweden. Robert
So much info to take in 😃 loved the guide quickly counting first class seats ,” Yes 14 !” 😃 Horses Chicago to Australia 🤯😃 👏👏👏 How bout those crew quarters 😯 !!! Let’s watch it Again !! 🧐😃
This was really fun and informative. I've been watching AVL for a couple of years (before you went full-time) and you always educate and entertain me. Thanks for all you do, Kevin.
What an amazing peek behind the scenes into LAX Qantas operation! The video was amazingly put together, it looked fantastic. So exciting to see AVL sharing these experiences with us - keep’em coming!!
Excellent video! The ultimate BTS. The A380 is really something else. To misquote Beatrice Lillie’s remark upon boarding the Queen Mary, “So when does this place get to Sydney?” 😂
Great video thanks Kevin. I was working in the freight industry back in the early to mid 90s and recall Qantas acquiring the freight facility. From memory I think it was the old Pan Am building.
What amazing work to produce this video! Thank you so much for sharing you experience with Qantas and hope you get more once in a lifetime opportunities to do this stuff in the future!
What a great tour! And a bonus seeing Qantas Freight. I see they ship live animals. Fourteen years ago I had a greyhound shipped from Guam to LAX on United.
Congrats Kevin! A great video! Noticed you included a bit shot of Qantas’ former long haul competitor, Virgin Australia. I was fortunate to fly both airlines and they were both excellent!
Wow! This was very cool. I always wondered what was upstairs in the 2-level planes. Another interesting interview for you if you are interested would be to reach out to Juan Browne who is an American Airlines pilot. His UA-cam channel is blancoliro and he mostly covers his own small planes, as well as the fires and floods throughout California. He regularly flies out of LAX although he lives in Northern California and flies the 77W (to Sydney, London, Paris, Dublin) which is another plane I would love to see you feature. Perhaps he could make the way for you to visit him when he is at LAX. Great guy!
Great video. QF obviously recognise the significance of the exposure AVL provides for them to the worldwide market. Hope you guys enjoyed the look behind the scenes
Wow, a fantastic video! Great job Kevin and Rudy! Thanks for taking us with you on a behind-the-scenes look. Crazy how quickly they can turn the plane around for the flight back. I still have yet to see a 380 up close in person. Hopefully someday!
Once again a massive well done Kevin! A wonderful little documentary into the goings on at LAX. Big shout out to the guys at QUANTAS for letting you go behind the scenes and show what goes on! Well done!
I just flew round-trip on this plane to Sydney, returning last Friday. Amazing plane. Great service from the staff. I flew premium economy which was pretty good. I hope they don't retire this plane anytime soon.
Kevin, Qantas is where impeccability, safety, comfort, and excellence all intersect beautifully. Thank you for sharing this remarkable video of Qantas proud dedication to serving its passengers with the AVL family. I also detected my fellow Jamaican explaining some of the operations towards the end of the video. Thank you so much, Qantas!❤❤❤❤❤❤
This video really highlights the immense scale of everything to do with the A380 and the operation behind it, truly impressive how much needs to be done to prepare the A380 for it's next flight. The staff behind it all work so hard and professionally, so every customer in those seats gets to their destination with the littlest of issues. Thank you Kevin an Rudy for that impressive tour!
Flew from Singapore to Sydney aboard a QANTAS A380 Flight QF2 2 Days ago. It is seriously one impressive bit of machinery. I was in business class, window seat right behind the left wing. The size of the wing from that vantage point is almost comical. You get the feeling that what you're seeing is an illusion. The flaps and Ailerons are as big as some planes' entire wings. From Sydney I had to connect to my hometown on a DeHavilland Dasch 8. I swear they could land that little thing on the wing of the A380.
Nice peak behind the scenes!
Hi guys, it's a high-end production for a very instructive footage about Qantas A380 and Qantas Freight
❤👍🙏🥂🇫🇷
Cool. Really interesting and informative video. Thx.
Wow that was amazing Kevin. That really amazes me

Very cool THX KEVIN AND RUDY *****
The A380 is an impressive plane. The work necessary to keep it in the air is very involved. Thanks for presenting this peek inside Kevin.
Unfortunately one of its downfalls is what you state. The costs in labor for turn around is something that is always left out. The Net Net Net costs of operation as well as added airport costs for the a380 is part of its inefficiencies. The bottom line of costs per fares and empty seats
It just came way way to late

Outstanding video! I flew in the Qantas A380 back in 2016 from DFW to SYD, and it was an outstanding trip (all 18 hours westbound)!
