Emma is seems calm and behaved. My lil’ 9 wk old standard schnauzer is so inquisitive and boisterous. He will look me in the face and snap/lurch at me. He is constantly biting and getting into everything, doesn’t always want to listen, though he is very food motivated. These past two days have been better than last week, his first week with us. We had to be really strict with him and I think he finally seeing we are alpha. He knows sit, paw, wait. He is not near as calm as Emma and create training has been hard. He cries so loudly. He hates it.
I’m an animal lover and I have a soft spot for golden retrievers. You & your wife are such wonderful people. Your dogs are trained so well because you do it with such love. Thank you for sharing with us.
Girls train so easily. And my Lily came naturally trained, she was super smart at 11 weeks old. I could walk with her in a small city & she didn’t need a leash. And yes, that’s her posing for my husband. The best golden we ever had. We’ve had 5. All were so good. 💖
Thank you for these videos! I am picking up my puppy at the end of July, when he's born. I wanted to ask about that patch of grass in the video. Is that just sod on a plastic tray? I would love to get something like that!
My labrador puppy is the same age as Emma. The most progress he's made so far is that he automatically sits when he hears the sound of his bowl. Hoping for the best in the coming weeks.
