I just finished a Rocket Fuel Power Plant on the server that I'm doing with a buddy, it takes 445.5 cubic meters of Crude Oil and gives me 99,000 megawatts of power. 3,000 is offset and sent to a packager for jetpack fuel, but it was a really fun project! Mine isn't quite as resource efficient as yours because I don't have the Nitro Rocket Fuel alternate unlocked, but I'm sure 96,000 will keep us in good shape for a LONG time!
Also just for your information, the "4.167 fuel" each generator takes is a rounded number. 25 Rocket Fuel will equally split to power 6 generators. This means that one of your blenders making 150/minute will perfectly run 36 generators.
Yeah that actually makes a lot of sense. I believe I rounded up anyways but that ratio is good to know!
I've been watching rocket fuel vids all evening and yours is hands down the best one. Good job! I am working on a nuclear power plant right now, but it will only give me 52000. I am considering going rocket fuel first as it is much less complex. Anywho, you earned a subscription.
Thank you I am glad you enjoyed it! Yeah I was surprised by the power output and scalability of rocket fuel plus the added bonus of no nuclear waste to deal with!
My 71 Fuel Generator turbo fuel power plant felt like it took forever to build, and it's less than a third of this monster. Good work and good lord.
Wow nice vid keep going! Just unlocked rocket fuel and didnt know how much power it can give
Thank you! Yes it's a super strong mid game power source since nuclear is really hard to get going til you can effectively deal with the waste
if you have been collecting slugs (and processing with sloops) you can cut the generators in half by using 2x power shards each.
This is a great tip! I am always too conservative with my power shards for some reason lol
I've got a turbo fuel plant using compacted coal as I don't have blenders yet, but as soon as I do, I'm going to further refine to rocket fuel.
It is a nice upgrade if you have turbo fuel set up already. The alternate recipe I used was nice to simplify the process but not necessary by any means
i'd drop the gens to burn 4/m so my compacted coal and blue crystal productions stay stable for secondary production plants
That is a good idea. I have yet to do anything with the byproduct but I did some testing and have some ideas to modify this when I get nuclear up and running
this recipe is so strong
Agreed! I'd say it fills the big gap that was between standard fuel and nuclear much better than turbo fuel did
I'd just discovered how good the nitro rocket fuel recipe is, no more planning on nuclear for a while. I was looking at same area it looks the perfect location resources wise but I'll locate mine on the spire coast. That way I can add more power setups as I need them. Good video but leave your light on when in dark areas of factory if you have not setup lights. Cheers from Perth Australia.
@gemmel3197 I agree the recipe is great as a mid way between regular fuel and nuclear. Thank you for the feedback I will take lighting into greater consideration going forward. Good luck on your future builds!
Hold up, is this all off of a single oil node?
Yes it's all off one over-clocked normal oil node! Honestly the biggest limiter is probably the Sulphur and nitrogen in this system
Wish I watched this before building a plant with 28 blenders and now needing to build 850 generators 😂
I think I would have gone insane if I had to put that many generators down!
@@BerserkrBrys I'm about to make my rocket fuel gen set up, gonna need to place down 740 fuel gens... tbf i'm also going WAYYYYYYY overkill, and using all the oil in the mushroom area (bottom right), in total i'll be using ~1440 crude/min, and there's 1500 nitrogen relatively nearby (overclocked node, but still).
I COULD go even more extreme, but i'm using some of the oil byproduct resin to make filters just incase, and using residual plastic for the iron plates to make the nitric acid.
all in all the difficult part is going to be the fuel gen, everything else is a matter of "tear down what i've got to rebuild better", but i'm gonna disconnect power to the rest of my factory, and run off reserves to get up and running to go from ~16000 GW -> ~185000 GW... I won't be needing more power for like, a majority of the run, and if I do, a "small" nuclear setup would be relatively simple... hopefully...
edit, also the compacted coal goes into ~45 coal gens for an additional ~3375 MW of power. Overkill? yes. going to be worth it? probably not. Am I going to regret this? most likely. Will it stop me? nope.
@jjrulez1596 the worst part of rocket fuel is how easy it is to go overboard lol
I just recently built a 280000mw rocket fuel factory 600 oil input feed 448 generators at 250%
@@phinnna makes my build seem small in comparison!
I'm loosing my time with regular fuel 40 000 Mw from 1200 oil input for 64 generators at 250%
