- After several years of silence, Little Devil Inside has resurfaced. The game was first announced back in 2015 and was later showcased in a PlayStation 5 reveal event in 2020. The developers have announced that the game has been updated to Unreal Engine 5 and showcased new gameplay. Set in a Victorian era where creatures, monsters, and other mysterious life forms DO exist, Little Devil Inside is an action-adventure game from independent developer Neostream Interactive. You have been hired by a professor at the local university to assist in the investigation and study of paranormal activities that are recorded but rarely flagged as real threats. Embark on risky and dangerous missions, complete side quests, encounter unexpected situations, wander and explore a world where industrial advances are the order of the day. Do whatever it takes to survive and complete your tasks.

They have made a kickstarter back in 2015
Damn that's a long time ago
They had a very succesful Kickstarter campaign and they formed a company. Apparently they had poor management skills or there were too many strong willed employees that wanted to take the project into different directions. So because they had these internal issues in the company and they could agree on a direction, it prolonged the development of the game and here we are over 9 years later. That much I gleaned from their update post on their Kickstarter page!

@@alexmarzani6332 Why not? It could be that they wasted multiple years with no actual progress made if their company was a mess. The post sounds like their company was disbanded at some point and later they formed a smaller team with more focus. But who knows. The final product might be on the level of The Day Before despite the cool trailers. But if they were scammers you'd think they'd have tried getting even more funding during these 9 years?
Assuming they're sincere at all, what they should have done is be more transparent about the development and company issues. Kickstarter should impose a mandate that projects should give no less than monthly update on the progress.

According to their own post it was in development hell. Or more like that their company was a mess after the team grew too big and they had to restructure into a smaller more focused team.
@Moshugaani sometimes, to many cooks, mess up the dish. More is not always better. And for such a game they had to take only the ones that have passion and give everything to it. Real happy to have an update on this game. Really forgot about the game, only remembered after a few minutes of watching.
This is beyond good and evil 2's runner up for the development hell award.

@@balintszollarAt this point. You might be right. Chances are, ubisoft will just end up making bge2 a multiplayer with customizable spaceships, but without single-player campaign. Kind of like Skull and bones.
The art style is awesome! Love the combo of cartoony characters and realistic landscapes its actually fits so well.

@@jinraigami3349 I'm no expert at game development but I'm sure that's not how it works. It takes a lot of work and decision-making to put a UI into place. But it looks great, and Below was a great game, so I encourage it strongly :)

@@Kameleonicamong the tons of sounds and tunes that get thrown at us it came out as something that caught my attention immediately, being beautiful and particular, hence it did that in an exceptional way. And why would it not be a soundtrack? Maybe it wasn't written to accompany something else? Still it has the right characteristics and fits the role perfectly.

I guess you mean it has been in development for 9 years? Who is being fooled. If you preorder or kickstart you take a risk with close to no reward. If you preorder or kickstart you are a fool and you probably can't be helped.
As for everyone else, we wait and if it is released and a good game we might buy it. If it doesn't release well that is too bad. On to the next game.
@@njalid tbf some kickstarter backers are just good people trying to help the devs but yeh they should realise that it is a risky thing if they are treating it as an "investment" I see it as more of a sponsorship or charitable thing personally. But yeh if you are treating it as some sort of investment then yeh probably a fool.

Dev got that Sony money now they should be fine.
When I read the title on the thumbnail I thought: "this sounds familiar". Then I saw some footage and remembered that I´ve actually backed this up on kickstarter years ago! I was interested to play this back when I was a young man, now looks like a great game to play with my daughter.

That's wild! A blend of cell shaded cartoony style and Unreal 5's, um, Unreal graphics is such a crazy cool look.
im genuinely floored with the presentation i love this style so much and the commitment to it from whats seen i just hope it could polish the fps at times but granted optimization usually comes towards the end so im not entirely worried

I haven't been sold on a game in a really long time and just the demo footage here was intensly captivating. I wanted to jump right in and start playing.
Of those games where I felt that odd texture-3D satisfaction, both the close and distant views are lovely and intriguing. The variety of close plans and environments are also such artworks.
Hope story and gameplay can keep up and form a captivating narrative to make it a little masterpiece inside.

Incredible visual style! This game will be a hit if ever released. For some reason reminds me of a visual style of Mini Gore 2, a game from the past on iOS and a little bit of Little Big Adventure.

But I miss the character piece bouncing on the world map, now it looks like the character is walking/striding through the world map. It's more charming if the world map shows everyone as those adorable bouncing pieces :)

This looks amazing! The art style reminds me of when FFIII and FFVII first came out, and how revolutionary they looked for its time. It made us fall in love with those games. This game brings me back to that nostalgia.

Of all the games from PS5 first major showcase, this was the one that most intrigued me. Was wondering when we'd ever get more details. I sure hope the development phase have finally found the right gear to cruise in, toward the finish line.
Is it open world or a navigation system that you travel between mini maps? Like Mount and Blade
The animations of that big red bird thing looks almost exactly like the animations from monster hunter world for the puki puki, its amazing how well they pulled those animations off

This looks fire I just hope it's challenging and I hope the combat is fluid and the controls and movesets well thought out. You know just take move sets from successfully praised top down combat games. Like Darkwood, hyper light drifter, and gungeon.

It looks amazing and genuinely fresh. So many design choices that tickle the brain just so. It seems like an interesting mix of story, combat, and survival.. could be a tough mix and finding that balance might be part of why this game has taken so long, especially since it seems like it might be quite a large game. Either way, I am pulling for the Enfant Terrible team, because they really have the moldings of a masterpiece and if they can get it right, it will be a beautiful, beautiful thing.

Can I say that Monster Hunter gave me a good insight in the move set of the creature on 4:31. That's some damn Kulu-Ya Ku and some Pukei-Pukei.

The platforms are Windows, Xbox, Switch and PlayStation. Don't know why only that Sony thing is mentioned. You can also see the Xbox controller prompts during the gameplay...

Sadly I can't afford to play this game but I can certainly binge watch... so I'll wait for people to play it when it comes out completed in the future. The overall style is so smol, cute, crisp and... delicious (lol) despite the horror and combative elements. I want to know if the MC will be able to recruit a companion or spirit animal to assist him in his adventures because that is admittedly a nice additional option in such a familiar RPG setting. Btw the octopus monster in the abandoned poolroom is like a shoutout to Thalasso Hobbyer's creation amongst some other similar builds lol. Nice touch with that one really!

This looks pretty good. It gives me a mount and blade feeling. Because of the style and gameplay I think a game like this to succeed it needs good and captivating story right out of the bat otherwise it will get boring before even playing.
