so much Journey in this, especially in the first few minutes that broken building you climb on to then open the tall door across a broken bridge .... like Journey before it became desert and more ruined. it is very pretty though
@@jclive2860 so many try to do that already and a lot of it just lack creativity because the artistic style is diminished so they can go for "reality".
@@chimeraxz6345it doesn't look boring because it has no action. It looks boring because the presentation fails to convey any meaningful gameplay loop or mechanics apart from traversal. And if there's going to be a story told, it's not apparent what it is, or what part the player takes in it. The visuals look appealing, though it obviously tries to capitalize heavily on the Nintendo and Ghibli aesthetics. Apart from that, no notable feature was on display, so it can be said that it looks boring.
The engine seems very similar to the one used to make Sky: Children of the Light. Same camera angles and nearly identical floating mechanics. It feels natural in Sky but looks a bit weird with this character.
It’s exactly sky, even the buildings and the way you collect “light” looks similar, and how you have to light lanterns to open doors (the doors also look very similar to sky), even the title screen looks exactly like sky if you would just replace the kid with a moth haha The birds and butterflies too look very similar, especially the birds The crab bug things look very similar too, except they just have a bit of moss on their head and their behaviour is different
It's already hecka sad. Damn. Absolutely gorgeous world so far and very heartfelt story just from the intro. Very impressed. The floating is also super cute, with how the kid's legs dangle as he glides. At least it seems like we can get most of the tears out of the way from the start of the game
Huge *Journey* vibes. From the way the camera pans around smoothly to show the environments, to the progression of sliding and gliding through the terrain. This looks like a great successor.
"Is it possible to be homesick of a place you never been?" Thats literally how I feel every so often threw out my life and hearing it from someone else blew my mind. Because I thought I was the only one with these weird feelings I have especially when looking over the horizon during a sunset. 😅
Ever since I spotted the demo for this game on Steam, I've been so eager for it to come out. Definitely reminds me of Castle in the Sky (and other Ghibli titles) with Zelda influences as well. And the gameplay itself was so smooth for just a demo! I look forward to playing this with my wifey and kidlets ^-^

don't know what you mean by "loudwarfast" but not all games should be the same AT ALL, some games can be heavily action-packed with war settings and others can be relaxing like this one! You getting "jarred" might honestly be a you thing than anything else, NOT other war games!
Don't think this would be my kind of game but as a fan of studio ghibli and art design I must say this looks beautiful. Hope the team achieves everything they are striving for.
I suddenly remember about this game and try to look at it but I forgot the name. At first I typed "solar punk game" but that lead me to a different game. But I remember that it's like a ghibli inspired game so I typed "ghibli game" and it works
Yeahhhh, I immediately thought "I bet there's no combat. It doesn't seem like it would fit with the vibe." Idk if a game like that would keep my attention. When there's nothing at stake or no real challenge, I just get bored. I see a lot of comparisons to Journey, and the gameplay does remind me of that. Just floating around, activating things lightly interacting with the world. I hate to be negative about it, it just looks incredibly boring.

It seems very much like a reskin of Journey, however I do not think that is a bad thing. I have been looking for a second chance at experiencing Journey for the first time and this might be it
You can feel the breath of the wild inspiration there. Obvuously ghibli too. They need to manage to create a "ghibli" world too as that is what its really all about.
Looks fun! I hope there is some sort of combat element, as what’s here looks like a lot of fun but I’m not sure how much I’d enjoy it if it didn’t. I’ll give it a try regardless

I too look forward to the day we find answers and even go there. I to1o, I guess, feel homesick for it. Sad to say, I won't live to see that day.
My kind of game for sure. What's missing tho is any element of conflict. Re-watch Zelda games and you will see they introduce minor challenges much earlier than you do.
