05-09 body + coyote engine = the perfect n/a mustang IMO. I hope to do a coyote swap one day on my 06. Beautiful car man, congrats on getting it swapped!
thx for literally providing step by step blueprints for us at home 😂 i have a 06 gt car procharged with 51 thousand miles that’ll get a coyote heart eventually
These videos are awesome man, can’t wait to use the resources to do my own swap!
Looking great Bossman!
Looks of the best mustang style powered by a coyote motor…. What could be better?!
That's awesome dude! Goals for my 05.
We can help make it happen!
My favorite S197 Coyote swap build!
👊🏻
This is the best solution if you have a 05-09 mustang and want to make more power n/a gen 1 coyotes are cheap now and even gen 2s aren't that bad price wise hopefully with the new gen 4 the older coyotes continue to get cheaper
3v is my favorite body style too, can’t wait to coyote swap
Well when you’re ready, we got the solutions for you, including a plug and play swap harness
@@MattSoppado you have a harness to get the gauges to work
@@Bigmed9 our now swap harness allows the gages cruise and ac to work when coyote swapping
I have an 07 gt with 160k miles on it. Still running great. Still in great shape cosmetically. Maybe when the motor eventually bites the dust, I'll do this with it.
Best advice I can give is don’t wait. The 3V has plenty of value to resell to make the swap less expensive.
@@MattSoppa does it work with the stock transmission from the 4.6L?
@@sk8n854 this car has the 4.6 5 speed trans yes
I came very close to doing a Coyote swap in my 2005 GT, but bought a 2014 convertible, instead. I'm glad I decided to do this because of the cost, 2014 actually looks better and was the last S197. We just had it painted Fighter Jet Gray, added Roush exhaust, new 19 inch wheels and tires and Morimoto tail lights that are similar to 2018 S550 lights. It looks absolutely awesome and I haven't seen any Fighter Jet Gray custom paint jobs on a S197, yet.
I have to disagree on the looks better part
@@MattSoppa Don't get me wrong, I love the 05-09 body style and I own a 2005 and a 2014, but front of the 2014 reminds me of the 1970, which is one of my favorite classic year Mustangs.
Perfect big dog
dope
the brady mustang!!
🐐
I have a built bottom end coyote swapped 3v with a built mt82…best money spent
how much did it cost you total?
Following along with this build has me wondering how far off doing the exact same thing that you've done here but starting with a cheaper V6 car would be? I know I'd be looking at needing a transmission but V6 cars around me can be had really cheap.
It’d be pretty close besides yes I ge obvious and rear axle
Do you have a video of you putting the battery harness on I have some stuff hanging off idk where to connect
It’s in one of the previous videos. Not entirely sure which tho
Is there a way to fix the cluster? I mean I would love to see RPMs as well as my speed accurately. And I am seriously considering swapping my 3v for a coyote gen 2
What do you mean fix the cluster? It all works?
Will the dashboard panel with all the gauges and electronics from a 13-14 Mustang fit in an 05-09 Mustang? If so, would there be much wire modifications?
It will but at that point you might as well get everything from that car to swap. Too many differences otherwise
one of the early ways to keep everything working was to find a wrecked 2011-2012 with single zone climate and do a full interior and subframe swap to s197 coyote. thinking thats too much work now.
How did you make your Speedo work?, having trouble with mine
ua-cam.com/video/6G3o560M2qU/v-deo.html
Is swapping the engine + 10r80 difficult? I just bought 2005 mustang gt for this project
Do use that trans you must use a gen3 engine and gen3 management
@@MattSoppa i got you so all harnesses and ECU (PCM/TCM) based on same model to work out
hi5 for the 4.10 lol
Hows the 3650 holding up?
So far so good!
Do you still have abs?
Yup!
Was it hard doing the wiring? How much was the total cost for everything?
I have a cost breakdown video, first one on this swap.
My wiring guide helped myself and others! Available at www.make-it-Modular.com
@@MattSoppa would you recommend for me to get a 2014 mustang gt donor car just to swap everything or is it easier the way you did it. I have a 2006 mustang gt and I already have a good amount invested and want to keep the car for a long time.
@@dsalinas731 swapping everything is a TASK, if you have the donor already you can do it the way I did as well by using all its harnesses and what not
How’s your gas mileage for a daily drive
With E85 it’s thirsty. 15 at best. But have yet to do a highway only trip to see
Did you end up using the corvette fuel filter/regulator if so how was it?
I did. Now that I know more and how I wired it. I don’t think it was necessary
@@MattSoppa what would you recommend to do instead?
@@boomdroppedu6767 if you wire it like I did or use our swap harness using a factory ECU, just use the hose from the fuel line under the master cylinder to the fuel rail from a coyote car.
@@MattSoppa oh so pretty much like a factory dead head system? Using the coyote computer
@@boomdroppedu6767 correct. I May revert mine back to that
Hey Matt was watching one of your videos from 2019 about a Co swap Fox… I am doing one now and have a question on your build that would really help mine.. would you be able to shoot me an email so we can chat ? Or on here I really don’t care either way. I just really need some help. Thanks
You need to blur your plate. The feds can use that to track you down since your catless.
It’s emissions exempt
Man, I love this car. It so cool it has a Coyote, but looks like a 100% stock 3v. Do you mind if I DM you on Instagram? I have some questions about this swap.
Oh, btw, those 18” wheels might work with those calipers, but you might need some spacers. The “base” s550 GT with 4-piston caliper has 18” wheels from factory. They only problem with any Brembo caliper on the s197 is the space to the spokes. I had 18” wheels before I swapped to 07 GT500 brakes, barrel clears, but spokes didn’t. Then got a set of s550 EcoBoost Performance Package wheels, those wheels even clear the 6-piston GT PP brakes, but on the s197 I need to run a small spacer to clear the spokes.
