    I have done the swap on my 05, but when I used a harness by a speed shop that will not be named, it ran, but could not use my a/c and it grounded out a lot of my BCM and the radio would not work, etc. I just went ahead and swapped in a 2013 premium body harness, dash, seats, etc. Just a note, there will probably be a few other wiring issues if you have a 05-06 as the harnesses are different. GREAT INFORMATION!!

    • @MattSoppa
      @MattSoppa  3 роки тому +1

      Great! Try and a big reason why I’m apprehensive on offering a sort of swap harness because of the differences. I think the most I’d offer is the PCM body plug labeled to assist.
      The AC portion is a little more tricky than just swapping wires. I’ll cover that when the time comes.

      @@MattSoppa Yeah, the A/C is a huge issue on the 05 06 as the 07 09 are set up totally different. I ended up doing the A/C condenser and all the piping from the 2013 GT, as the 05 06 have 2 A/C sensors in the line and it also got rid of the big A/C dryer that is located next to the brake fluid reservior. Also used the EPAS and track pack ABS, not sure if necessary, but I wanted all the modules to be able to use the track pack settings in my 05.

    Just something to note, sometimes replacing a 05-09 fuel tank to a 11-14 fuel tank is the easier solution when running the return style fuel system and installing a bulk head. It allows for way more options for sending unit assemblies as well because 05-09 has limited (and expensive) options aftermarket.

      If this car gets more wild and serious in drifting, I'd probably just get a surge tank.

      Easiest solution is the Vette filter as it plugs into place of the stock mustang. Then all you do is run a return line and drop into the hat. It took me all of an hour and about $100 to do that.

    I just bought a 2007 Explorer Limited with 4.6 6r60. I think this would be a perfect swap candidate for a coyote. I am going to binge watch your video series here. I am only at 22 minutes and see that you attack these the same way I would and it seems you have similar goals. 'make it look clean and factory'. having the coyote pcm talk to the body and then the lack of PS pump are the 2 hurdles I see for the swap.

I’ve been told that the body harness would be the most difficult simulate due to different can buses. Is this possible and do you make a harness that would allow me to plug & play for this swap / application ? Or if I followed your blueprint could I depin my harness , bridge the gt harness with mines to run in my year vehicle ? Any information would greatly help me 🙌 please

      If it’s a GT it’ll also bolt right up! Wiring will be a touch more difficult if not using a control pack however

      @@MattSoppa It would really cut down on the echo in the empty room and also make your voice come across much better. It is super easy to lasso both the audio track and the video track in Premier and click synchronize. It will automatically match up the waveforms.
      Side note, I really REALLY want an '05-'09 and have watched a few swap videos and this is the best!

    When spending thousands of dollars you might as well buy a motor at the local scrapyard and buy a fuly forged rotating assembly and all new bearings as in building a race engine, you wont regret it down the line.

      I haven’t regretted any coyote swap I’ve ever done.

      I mean in general, and especially when you live in USA where engines are cheap at the local scrapyard and you can buy anything for these engine from summitracing.@@MattSoppa
