    Sped teacher here. Agree about calling CPS (and there are probably already at least a half dozen CPS reports from various teachers, but more can't hurt) but sorry, mainstreaming is 100% the better of two bad options. (I wouldn't be surprised if Peter eventually gets shipped off to a remedial school) That teacher likely has an (understandable) chip on her shoulder about being overworked and underpaid to begin with and then having to deal with Peter on top of everything else, but I worked in a self-contained sped classroom and if Peter was self-contained he would be molesting children in wheelchairs and intellectually disabled children. Peter likely has an "emotional and behavioral disability" which is the IDEA Act's way of saying he's severely mentally ill, which the problem is there's no free universal public health care so the public school system (being one of the few existing public infrastructure in the US) has to function as an ersatz mental health clinic for children like Peter, which it was never designed to be and shouldn't have to be.

    • @sammosaurusrex
      @sammosaurusrex 9 місяців тому +9

      You are wrong that it wasn’t designed to be that (and right that it shouldn’t have to be).
      Schools are a low cost place for politicians to put society’s problems, and since they’re largely run by women you don’t face too much political blowback for treating them like shit and blaming them for problems you created trying to shuffle more money to the elite (thanks patriarchy!)
      The system’s broken and it’s 100% by design.

      @@sammosaurusrex Adding to this point, there's a very good reason teachers' unions face steep fines for attempting to exercise what little political power they have outside of lobbying the same capitalist politicians throwing them under the bus to begin with. I've kept tabs on teachers' strikes in Massachusetts, and big fucking shocker, it turns out the Mass. Teachers Association supported the election campaign of now governor Maura Healey, who has, predictably, stabbed them in the back by openly opposing legalizing teachers' strikes and allowed municipal courts to nearly bankrupt the locals who struck anyway.
      We're in a situation where extant public sector union leadership feel compelled not only to beg Democrats for bigger crumbs but to literally throw their members' fucking dues money at the goddamn class enemy, instead of using that to build any sort of labor-based opposition, electoral and extra-electoral, to the Dem and GOP ratfucks blaming educators for not fixing the problems their policies created or intensified.

    I also have strong feelings about 1n c3st adult films which may not be printable in the youtube comments section.
    Most of them are not selling the transgressive fantasy that is in their title. That would be way too interesting for the unimaginative people who write these scenes to dare to explore. The common (and sad) fantasy they are selling is:
    1. A woman
    2. who you don’t have to meet
    3. who doesn’t have to like you
    4. but still wants to have sex with you
    5. but with no strings attached
    The fantasy being sold is targeted at insecure teenagers who are afraid of the emotional vulnerability required to form a typical sexual relationship with a woman. In these fantasies, you literally don’t even have to leave your house, let alone be emotionally well-adjusted or view women as human beings who you should take genuine interest in. “Step-sis is ANNOYED by your BONER but GOSH she’ll help you out anyway if you’ll do her homework” or whatever, blah blah.
    In this facet, I am also very much against the genre, just for different reasons from the person in the advice column.

    • @MichaelSotoCE
      @MichaelSotoCE 9 місяців тому +3

      I completely agree. I've had the same thought. The fantasy is that there's a woman, in your house, just by circumstance ok with your presence or even talking to you, and she'll have sex with you out of curiosity/spite/leverage or whatever other flimsy justification is made

      I'd agree if you said 5 years old. At my school, we were making jokes like this since we were 9 because we watched South Park.

      @commenter381 and cannibalism and necrophelia?
      I also had a latch key upbringing, doesn't make it good.
      I'm not a child development specialist, early adolescents isn't comfortable for anyone, my point is people don't prioritize the safety of boys...
      The admins punishing and pathologizing young men and boys acting out
      Boys aren't allowed to admit that they feel unsafe or afraid, don't know why they act our, are treated like threats for having their body's when we neglect their minds. At an age where they can't control their impulses as well as an adult, they are expected to act like adults.
      Not to get hooksian here, but How are boys suppose to prioritize the wellbeing and safety of others, when there is no one in their development that shows them how to prioritize safety for themselves and others?
      And also, as you alluded too, some acting out is normal for adolescents.
      Girls mature quicker in adolescents.. women and girls shouldn't have to feel unsafe,
      But at what age is a boy "man enough" to stop needing care protection and love? At what point does he go from a boy that's worthy of care to a sexual and cultural threat to women and the status of other men?
      Is it when their voice drops? They get X pounds? When they are y tall?
      It's hilarious to think about this wound up beaver moving school districts because she can't teach her kid about emotional intelligence.

      You sidelined my line questioning.
      At what age is a boy become a threatening man unworthy of consideration or protection?
      This mom was gonna displace her kid away from her friends and peers at school because a boy was (doing what people insist is normal for that age)
      So either his behavior is or isn't normal, people can't say for sure, but even if it is NOT normal, it's because he's bad and needs to be punished by teachers, admins, or other parents.
      At what age does a boy go from "just another part of the group" to a sexual threat to women and a status threat to men?
      If my daughter came home felt like she was being treated unkindly, I would tell her that person needs understanding or kindness, and you don't have to give that if you don't want to.
      Maybe that boy is being abused or disturbed by someone at home, and that's why he's acting out.
      (Maybe he's acting normally for a early adolescent) this wine mom doesn't seem to think so
      We don't teach boys about emotional awareness, boys mature physically quicker, administrators and teachers punish instead of teach.
      At what point in our culture is a boy no longer part of the group? At what point is a boy a potential threat?
      And how should we treat them when they act out in a ""threatening"" manner?
