54:20 Their attitude is "how could I have let this happen?" This feeds into the "maybe it was my fault" feeling that a lot of victims have, often exacerbated by hearing, "what did you do to make this happen" from other people. It's not great.

You know i had just seen the initial polling on the issue, and it kinda put me into a depression. I felt like i saw a lot of people supporting Palestine, but just thought that was like you know being around only left wing media and people. But its good to see the response in the streets and from regular people has at least got me hopeful for yhe future.

I was talking to a friend about the Lewis/SBF book and he had an interesting meta-reading. In 2021, one of Michael Lewis's adult children died in a car crash. He would have been building his relationship with SBF and writing the book during this time, and the book kind of gives the impression that Lewis sees SBF as a kid he can be father figure to. As Gus Haynes of the Wire Season 5 would say, Lewis got absolutely took by SBF. But there is another layer to it, for sure.

Being of an age with these boys, I was a senior in HS on 9/11, I can agree with their observations. Only I was a music major (oops!) so I don't remember much protesting in the first year.

I was vaguely tuned into politics on an adult level but I didn’t really get active until my first year of college (when the state, media, and reactionaries all around me were fervently beating the drum for Iraq). I failed almost all my courses my first two semesters bc I was skipping class to attend any/all protests along the east coast… I didn’t have any misgivings though; I knew there was no stopping the Iraq train, but protesting was all I could do to stave off the feeling of powerlessness :\

I just got here. But with that title, I really do hope they talk about wrestling.
One of my intensive coaches for summer wrestling was a gold medalist, and I remember thinking it was perfectly normal that a few months after he won someone tried to citizen’s arrest him for being uncontrollably coked out. Financial crimes are just dumb wrestling guys trying to do the thing to get ahead and I still think that is justifiable.
