Hi Matt, I think the best adventure for the wee Panda would be to drive it back home and get it an MOT and keep the wee thing alive and then you could take it back to Spain. Anyway thanks for another great video
Yes I agree that is a good idea keep th wee thing going
Totally agree be a pity to waste it I bought one as a 2nd car runaround to basically abuse but tbh I actually really like the thing & gradually getting it as good as it can be ...
Nice one matt
That's like me I've got a 15 year-old Audi A6 and I love it . I service it and look after it and it hasn't put a foot wrong but unfortunately up here they're bringing in low emission zones in the city and I can't drive it in the city now
Can't a UK car pass MOT in Gibraltar?
Thanks for taking us around Matt.
North Africa sounds like fun
Yep I second that idea
Congrats on 300k subscribers! Keep up the good content
Thanks! Will do!
@@HighPeakAutos You could fit all your subscribers into Wembley stadium three times over. Not bad at all.
Your a man that likes the shake without the salt just how the old school bar snack should be. Love the content bro your rocking it without the salt!😊
@@billybonds4449 mind blowing
It's all you need in a car to be honest for general purposes. Park it anywhere, without worry. Also, the perfect car when you don't have to prove yourself to anyone.
That's funny to read because in Italy (at least in the south) they are the most stolen car and people have to use additional steering wheel lock systems.
I agree. I have one and it is perfect for around town.
Those were the days when you could disconnect your battery and leave the car without worrying about having the security code handy for your radio!
No need to unbolt the battery positive cable ,there is a quick release on the Neg post. Keep it on the road for a long time and do some "TopGear" style adventures.
like driving it to Vietnam towing a caravan
@@localreviewking134 I stopped watching Top Gear when it became more about the presenters and their silly adventures, than the cars themselves.
I think you’ve definitively answered the ‘should you buy a used Fiat Panda for £250 question’. What a car! Yes please to one more adventure. North Africa ferry trip would be cool.
had a panda myself and hired a few on holidays, superb little runarounds very reliable and much fun, love em.
My dad had a Fiat Panda of about the same vintage as yours based at his holiday home in France. He once drove it all the way from the UK down to Greece and then back to southern France. It didn’t put a wheel wrong. Great little cars.
Great to see the Panda is still going. Old Fiats are the best and what value for £250.00, priceless!!!
Got to say the comments advocating taking it back to the UK have got my vote too. Then it isn't left to expire on a little patch of foreign land that will be forever England (or Italian English). Deserves better. I get that doing effectively the same thing only in reverse isn't possibly the greatest idea for another episode on here, but the interest would be in the trip rather than the arriving. Choose a different and interesting route. Then, of course you could keep it, sell it or even raffle it.
The way cars are being made so complex now its refreshing to know there are still cars out there that are simple to maintain if you have some money and a half decent mechanic u can trust. Now with the more modern cars as well prices through the roof to buy them, its impossible to fault find on them too even with diagnostics.
this car is what gets italy to move around, you can find them literally everywhere here, you can find spare parts even if you're stranded in the most rural parts of italy. my mom has a 2012 lpg one and she's had a 1996 one before that, best cars we've had in our family. god bless the panda
I really like them. Simple, honest transport
Keep going lad, 300k subs is mad. I was with you at 40k great to see you growing In confidence and I’ve learnt loads too!
Happy to see the little Panda still going about. My mother has a 2011 1,2 petrol in the exact same colour, and with the same wheeltrims. Used to drive it a lot back when I still lived with my parents and didn't have my own car yet. They are quite fun to drive. Love the cheap car videos, great content! Hope to see more stuff with the Panda in the future.
High Matt - that £250 Fiat looks fantastic, and its reliable for a trip to north Africa!?
(I was surprised when you connected the battery - without tightening the terminal it still started!!!!)
Mike
Years ago when we were getting our business going we did a long term hire on a couple of Puntos and they were tremendous fun. Revvy, willing and full of the joys of an Italian summer. Fiat get a bad wrap, but I love their honesty. The Bic lighters of the car world.
North Africa on the Ferry sounds like an interesting adventure for the £250 Panda .Although possibly not in the middle of summer unless you get the air con gassed..
Take the little Panda to Africa, on a one way ticket and see if you can sell it at a PROFIT !! Should make a good video.
If you made 20 videos with that panda, I would watch them all with any topic... Pandas are great cars.
🎉 300,000 subscribers! 🎉
Very well deserved, carry on doing exactly what you’re doing, it’s informative, fun and entertaining. 👏🏻
Africa sounds interesting, gets my vote. Does anyone remember “Discarnect “ : simple device to cut off battery when car is standing for a while.
Yes North Africa sounds the treat. Multi continental tourer, car and driver. Maybe just another local Panda for the daily driver and driveway space filler, as you can rent something sporty now and then as the mood changes.
Beautiful Benalmadena! Next time you are over, let me know, and i will show you Malaga! Greetings from NWC. Paco
That's exciting to see you driving around in neighbourhood and see familiar places in video!! Greetings from Benalmadena! On a side note have to say, that you have been an inspiration to start looking into flipping cars in Spain as a side hustle!
Didn't surprise me! I ran a Panda for years and it was the most reliable car I've ever owned, and took me everywhere. Thanks for sharing the journey with us! Morocco might be interesting, although the roads can be a bit pothole-strewn (imagine that!)
Pandas are ace! Glad to see one of the little multijets plodding on in the sunshine.
Thanks for the video Matt. The Panda is an awesome car, I had a 2010 model in yellow :) it was a 1.1l petrol, eco active so basic spec (no rev counter). Would love to see you take it to Tangier :)
Marrakech and well done for hitting 300k subscribers
South Africa sound's like a fun trip Matt, enjoy your short break 😊
Bought 2005 Panda as my first car... Looking to buy Panda again. Great little reliable car.
Should always disconnect the negative terminal on a battery first. Rather than the positive. Great little car.
Brilliant cars Matt. I'm on my 4th one. Please don't do one more trip and then park it up. It deserves better, so get future MOT's for it and keep using it.
I can totally picture you in Tangiers with the little Panda
Love Pandas, great personality. I’ve got the 4 x 4 mk3, great when it snows
Never thought I'd hear you say something like "I remember when all this was field's..." Laugh out loud stuff Matt. And how about taking a Panda to the Sahara? That'd be a real adventure.
It amazes me that you bought this car as a as you said. I thought how does that? I have a fiat Panda as my first car and i worked very hard for it, unfortunately here in Greece its not that cheap to buy a car even a used one to have it as a throughaway car i guess.
I have so much respect for those little Fiats - so much useful reliable car for so little money.
Yes - do North Africa.
There is a biiiig earth cable runs from the engine to the chassis which can dry-joint. Crimping it solves 79.5% of all FIAT problems.
Take it Rhonda it's a nice drive up there,
If you have time, A trip to Ceuta via Morocco would be interesting .
Hi Matt, This has to be THE perfect car for southern Spain, (once the aircon is fixed!) You need one that you don’t mind getting a little bit bumped or the paint scratched! A road trip to Portugal😅 via Tarifa for me please! Great coast road).
Cheers!
Fix the aircon get a scanner that will identify the fault and nip back to the UK for a mot. Go up the Biscay coast and back via monty carlo and alps
Great little cars. I'm on my second one - and when it dies, I'll be getting a third.
Only just realised the subscriber's congratulations matt🤙🏼 you deserve way more especially from all the quality and very informative video's you keep putting out! keep it up mate 👍🏻
Had a petrol one of these for 4 years, only required cambelt, oil changes and new brakes. Italian engineering at its finest... 🇮🇹
These cheap little runabouts are normally the best you could ever own. One thing for sure’ you will have some great memories in the decades to come. I could tell you plenty of stories about my old Zastava Yugo “which cost me £60”. Unbelievable how long and well she lasted 😲
So right. I miss my 2007 Peugeot 107 so much, loads of memories and stories with it. Despite being just a humble little city car and it really ingrained itself into my memory. Even though I have a better car than that now part of me really regrets selling it
@@reececollison5101 ✊ good times 💯
@@reececollison5101 second that, altough my 107 is a bit younger its still kicking
The best adventure would be MOT for one more year. You can’t let this car die!
Fantastic little car. Bring it back for a new MoT! She deserves it ☺☺👍👍
Dito to last suggestion. Please keep this little gem road legal!!
Haha, so pleased it's still running.
Use it to drive back to the UK in, especially as flight tickets are so expensive in the peak of summer!
PANDELLERIA... Matt, search for this on you tube.... You have to take it there to retire 😎
Loving the videos, never watched one that I don't like 🤩
Impressed that the car started first time after 3 months. Mind, you will not be able to do that with EV cars unfortunately. The aux battery cannot be disconnected at all, and the batteries can run flat within 2 months! Apparently some Tesla models lose 1 to 2% charge per day so even the traction battery will be completely flat in 3 months. Tesla does advise people to make sure that the battery is topped up when parked long term at an airport.
Evening matt straight to North Africa
£250 well spent Matt. Nice update video too. Definitely worth gassing the air con. It will just keep going on in Spain for you. Look after it! Huge Congratulations Matt on the 300k subscribers 👌👏
As for a road trip in the Panda, please take us to North Africa
Hi Matt most people with discard that that's completely knackered can you play a Life in the old dog yet. Cheers Phil from Newark
Love this type of content
Bought a 1.2 petrol in 2005 and had it for twelve trouble free years and I know it’s still going with its new owner! These are really good but rather underrated (unless you’re Jame May!) and I loved mine!
i have my panda 2005 and still. owned it. reluctant to swap for a newer car. good reliable and easy car to drive.👍👍👍
Ever thought bout high peak houses in Spain? I for one would be super interested in this. Go to Morocco, chefchaouen it’s the blue village and super beautiful. Also not too far from the ports so could be a time efficient adventure.
Would definitely like to see the panda go to north africa.
I need to take one of Your courses and try to earn the money it takes to live the life in the sun. And a trip to Africa would be so nice. Thanks.
Go to Carthage! Would be great for us history buffs
Matt........ 3,000 kms & 2.5 days, means that you took a ferry from either Southampton or Dover ? That's CRAZY mate !
Plymouth to Roscoff or Santander, is sooooo much quicker and nicer.
Hi Matt .. You have started something with little Red ! Everyone loves it ! We need another epic roadtrip, The worlds your Oyster ! Regards Chris West Yorkshire 🇬🇧
North Africa sounds like a blast Matt 👍. Am surprised you started it up without depressing the clutch…..Heyho Africa here we go 🥳
Go on….take it to South Africa….you know you want to. Seriously though, I just know that before I die I will buy a used car from you. I dont know when or what. i just know it will / must happen. A bit like a petrol head must own an Alfa at some point in their lives to be considered a true petrol head. Great videos @High Peak ❤ ps my father RIP had a Fiat and loved it: he called it his red Ferrari and, to be honest, there are more than one or two philosophers who wouldn’t argue with that.
Great stuff Matt, I picked up a 09 1.3 a few months ago for less than 1k, with a mild remap it’s a great little thing for bombing around in. There are 75bhp versions which seem to be very hard to find that respond much better to a remap, on the look out for one of those!
The 75bhp have DPF despite compliance with Euro 4 pollution regulations instead the 69 horsepower version (always euro 4) does not have the DPF
Take her to Paris France. I'd like to see the sights through its windshield. 🗼
North Africa sounds good as does returning to the UK with it for an MOT.
Hi Matt, just a thought, why not take a drive to Gibraltar and get it motd there? Spent a couple of years there in my army day's, it might be possible! Keep vids coming 😄
It's good to hear you still have the Thunder Bus :-)
Went to Gib when serving in the Army- love to see the panda drive around the Rock👍
Book the Panda in for Track day in the Ascari Racetrack in Ronda! 🤪
You need to find out the cause of the rough running and fix it before you go anywhere adventurous. Oil, Turbo if it has one, bad diesel or filters or something else!
Hi Matt why not re register in Spain , get and ITV test done , the air con re gassed and then you have the perfect Spanish run around and that smug feeling of not having a hire a car every time !
Perfect little car to use when you go to Spain. Hired this model of car many times whilst on holidays in Calpe Costa Blanca
I wish to see this car in Tunisia, if you're planning to go through North Africa and if the car survives until then
What a great little car! It definitely should keep going with a new MOT but for an adventure, I’m sure that you’re a romantic at heart, so why not take it to Casablanca?
Casablanca has a nice ring to it Matt! About 960Km round-trip I'm sure the old girl would make it, just make sure you have breakdown cover though! Congrats on 300k subs.
I've really enjoyed this video.
Glad you enjoyed it
I reckon a trip out to the desert, get some shots with dunes in the background! Or Casablanca, that's only 4.5 hours from the ferry! 😂
I'd like to see a house tour on the house in Spain. Looks interesting from what I could see in the video
Sierra nevada in the winter - a good 4 or 5 hour journey from Fuengirola for some skiing!
If you want an adventure come to Kyiv for a visit, I will show you the city 😂🎉
Get a can of mass airflow sensor cleaner spray and give it a go, it'll get you to Morocco and back then. Its inside the airbox should be easy to spot.
Yes, north Africa!!
Get on the ferry to fuertevnura its a beautiful place.
300ksubs 🎉🎉🎉are we going to get a milestone Q&A.
Oooo also well done on the 300k subs Matt 💯 🥳
Thanks!!
Definitely a trip to North Africa, would be amazing content 🔥
Matt, the coolest man in the world 👍 and Fiat Panda, the coolest car in the world 👍
According to the DVLA you cannot SORN a UK registered car unless it is actually in the UK. Also you cannot keep a UK registered car in Spain (or EU) for more than 180 days without changing it on to Spanish plates!
No love heart from Matt to your comment.
@@mrsociable1288 some people don’t like the facts I guess…
If it’s on my own property I’ll do as I please. If that means taking it off the road then so be it
The atlas mountains would be an adventure matt 👍😀
Matt what do you use to stop green agle forming on the rubber seals
Blimey you are just literally up the road from me, pop over and have a coffee! 🙂
North Africa for sure. Tangiers to Fez maybe?
i think you may have inspired me to get a ULEZ and low tax version of this as a little runabout
You have to get it back to the UK and MOT it again.
Yes more content like this! Go to North Africa
Looks lovely there Matt
Best car you’ve had mate. I would love to see you do more adventures with it!
