    I spent hundrerds of dollars buying boxes of this game qnd wound up with dozens of three ring binders full of cards. Thanks for this video, it brought to my attention products I never knew existed!

      Glad you enjoyed it! It is quite a bit of fun to collect. There’s a large community on Facebook that is useful for buy/sell/trading. I’d recommend checking that out if you’re looking for more community. Just search for Star Trek ccg

    Awesome videos, thanks for putting these together. When SWCCG Tatooine boxes got too expensive to open without cringing, STCCG was a great outlet. The cards still pop, and you can still pull a UR chase card from the affordable sealed product. Great way to get the pack opening fix. Really great community as well. As he mentioned in the previous video, the fb community leans more toward collecting than playing. There are a lot of super nice folks who are happy to help you get those last cards.

    So I used to collect and play Star Trek CCG in the late 90s and early 2000s as a teenager. I had a couple thousand cards at least. Multiple future Enterprises, at least 1 of the now expensive Kirk cards. I got rid of the cards back then and now I’m very much regretting that as I see how much people pay for those cards. My collection was probably worth over $10,000 now. Live and learn I guess.

      I just started collecting Star Trek… lots of bargains out there still. I kick myself for selling my magic collection all the time. If only!

      The game is still played here in Omaha Nebraska.

    Please make a video showing how you store your Star Trek cards and how many of each card you keep and the reasons for it

      Good idea. I might make one more broadly on how I store cards, not just Star Trek as I’ve got a pretty small Star Trek collection compared to other games.

    Complete premiere set is easy as silver bordered Collectors tin. One of each card in one box.
    There are some cards within the same rarity with different amounts on print sheets iirc starting in Alternate Universe.
    34th Rule of Acquisition Tournament Foil is only once on the print sheet and hard to get.
    AGT was available for order but there is the small premiere gift box, that's very limited. Decaren oversized is also very rare.
    2E has some tournament foils that almost never are available.

    Great video. Star Trek 2nd Edition is a whole other beast. I agree that Premiere WB is the way to go for anyone getting into the game. Same with Q and AU just to get going. Trouble with Tribbles is also a fun set for anyone getting into it. The harder to find sets you can wait on. It really depends on the affiliation you want to play as far as sets to get. If you want to go Fed, you can buy just about any set and be good to go.

      I enjoy advesarial play, do you have any tips on building a Klingon Deck?

    My brother and I opened a case (6 boxes) of Trouble With Tribbles earlier this month and were short 2 rares for completing a full set. (Had some starters too) But we did open 4 copies of the Ultra Rare McCoy. Weird distribution.

      You should be able to trade the McKoy dupes for the missing cards. The game has a fair following in Omaha Nebraska's Nuke Con.

    I've got a complete Alternate Universe set, including Future Enterprise, as well as a few specific things I was told would be valuable, but that was back in the 90s. I've got a sealed Data Laughing promo, a 1997 white-border 7 of 9, and a foil Future Enterprise. It's *amazing* to me that the Fajo Collection is so cheap now - it's actually *less* than it was worth when it came out!

    I have the Future Enterprise from the Alternative Univers. It´s ultra rare. How much it will cost today ! btw : It´s a black border !

    Lost my entire collection in a flood about ten years ago; it was so sad. My wife bought me the collectors edition for an anniversary present when she found out how much it meant to me.

      I’m sorry to hear that. I think about fires/floods/theft a lot with my collection. I will say that it’s never too late to get back into it again. I started back up collecting 4 years ago and it’s been a blast. And sounds like you’ve got a winner in a spouse! Excellent gift.

    Fun video. Clarification though, it's completely impossible to get a full premiere set out of 3 booster boxes. There's 121 rares in the set, so that is simply not possible.

    • @StephenWSanders
      @StephenWSanders 2 роки тому

      Thanks for the clarification. Yeah, I probably should have said that you'd be close to a full set. Would probably be pretty easy to pick up any missing singles, though.

    Bought 4 boxes of trouble with tribble booster for 30 a box and have the whole set. Hoping to start playing the tribble game with my kids. Paid about the same for case of starter decks to get the sisko and koloth cards to complete set... Still So much cheaper than star wars.

    Timely video! I just started going thru my Star Trek CCG cards yesterday to see if there's anything I can sell. I have a question. I have some of the cards signed by the actors they are portrayed by, such as Worf, Q and Luaxana Troi. If these cards are part of a complete set, is it better to sell the complete set with them included in the set to up the price of the complete set, or would it be better to pull them out and sell them individually, then sell the complete set missing these signed cards? Thanks!

    • @StephenWSanders
      @StephenWSanders 2 роки тому +2

      Great question! I’m Steve from the video. I’m not sure there’s solid eBay data on this, but my inclination would be to keep the set together and then sell it at a premium, noting the autographed cards, especially since those are three pretty popular actors/characters. Curious if others have thoughts on this.

    STCCG is really affordable if you want booster boxes to open
