  • After 6 weeks of waiting for the saw to arrive from Taiwan, we picked it up and had the saw up and running in 4 hours. Please watch this short time lapse video of the assembly process.

I went to my local Woodcraft intending to buy the 1.75Hp version. The 1.75 engines were on back order in 2020 and the only in stock saw was the 3HP 36inch-got it because I didn't want to wait. I had some help but did alot of the assembly myself. Several good youtubes and an excellent manual. I fought with the supplied Allen keys attaching the switch. Once I got it all together I had some parts left over and couldn't figure it out retracing my steps. Called Sawstop and it turned out these were for the 52inch version. The saw works well. Ive already done one large project. Good tip about the metal wings. I hope you enjoy your saw.

That switch is a BITCH without a round-headed Allen wrench that you can use to angle-into the cap head screw!!

Hi Bob. I hope you're still loving the sawstop. Have you learned to hate that fence yet?

so true, my coworker lopped off his thumb during a weekend warrior project last year. He did get it sowed back on, but it is about 1/8 inch shorter now. I have 1995 Powermatic saw and it has been wonderful, but I started eyeballing the saw stop every time I drop by woodcraft. Can't wait to see this saw slicing through some wood.

Thanks, so far I’ve only cut up the wood for the router table but I’m super impressed with this saw.

Hi Bob. Now that you have had this for a while are you happy with the premium fence? I am interested in the smaller 30" version like you have and so would love to hear some feedback on how the fence is working for you.

Hi, it works just fine, no issues with performance. I would have preferred the beefier looking fence for aesthetic reasons and easier to hold small tools on the top.
