Academy Award® winner Emma Stone (“La La Land”) stars in Disney’s “Cruella,” an all-new live-action feature film about the rebellious early days of one of cinemas most notorious - and notoriously fashionable - villains, the legendary Cruella de Vil. “Cruella,” which is set in 1970s London amidst the punk rock revolution, follows a young grifter named Estella, a clever and creative girl determined to make a name for herself with her designs. She befriends a pair of young thieves who appreciate her appetite for mischief, and together they are able to build a life for themselves on the London streets. One day, Estella’s flair for fashion catches the eye of the Baroness von Hellman, a fashion legend who is devastatingly chic and terrifyingly haute, played by two-time Oscar® winner Emma Thompson (“Howards End,” “Sense & Sensibility”). But their relationship sets in motion a course of events and revelations that will cause Estella to embrace her wicked side and become the raucous, fashionable and revenge-bent Cruella.
Disney’s “Cruella” is directed by Craig Gillespie (“I Tonya”) from a screenplay by Dana Fox and Tony McNamara, story by Aline Brosh McKenna and Kelly Marcel & Steve Zissis. It was produced by Andrew Gunn (“Freaky Friday”), Marc Platt (“Mary Poppins Returns”) and Kristin Burr (“Christopher Robin”), with Emma Stone, Michelle Wright, Jared LeBoff and Glenn Close serving as executive producers. Two-time Oscar®- winning costume designer Jenny Beavan (“Mad Max: Fury Road,” “A Room with a View”) creates the dazzling and imaginative costumes, which take on a life of their own.

She did THAT. Also the party was meant to be Black & White and she showed in fire red, so she will be the one shinning among the rest. She came for the kill
Ikr
She's like a spider ready for the kill...look out for Cruella De Vil.
Ever heard the riddle "What's black and white and re(a)d all over?"
@@dontmindme3092 the one and only, Cruella De Vil
@@sergiosalcedo5111 A newspaper but yes, Cruella was probably referencing that lmao-
Imagine if the guy she asked for a light said 'No, I don't'. That would've changed the entire vibe of this scene lmao
Or, if he had a lighter instead of matches...
"Do you have a light ?"
"...I don't smoke"
"Sorry ma'am there's no smoking here"
I reckon she would have had a backup.
It's not like SHE doesn't. just saaayin...
The funniest part of this entire clip is the waiter standing next to the wine tower who just stood by and watched Cruella knock it down and THEN take her drink 🤣
I just work here.
If I were him I would do the same
The "They're not paying me enough" guy.
omg yeah i saw that too, likewtf man where u came from
The Joker is strong in her. I mean, he did a similar thing in TDK. He takes a glass of wine, spills the drink and then pretends to drink in.
Okay this scene was so rebelliously badass
PERIOD
But also makes me feel it is the only scene that is
I agree
@@os6319 You might have a point. Hopefully not though!
@@os6319 perhaps not, I've seen the TV spot, there's a scene where she'll arrive in the red carpet by a garbage truck with a long ass dress flowing behind her.
If this is a reveal on Rupaul's Drag Race runway, Curella you're the winner of this week's challenge 👑
FYI one of the queens from Drag Race Thailand did this
@@Rhiyono I've seen it, it was very cool but she got panicked after her reveal, it didn't go very well😬🔥
@@BeeSwizzle A Mexican drag also did it
@@steevennagua363 Yeah, Her name is Vera Cruz, an incredible and talented Mexican Drag.
@@Rhiyono what's her name?
How do all the bad villains manage to be a bunch of badasses
PERIOD
Because VILLAINS are the BEST!!!
*bad woman villains
it started in 1959's Sleeping Beauty when Maleficent badassedly gatecrashed Aurora's bday bash.
@@stalematesibling Wasn't the first Disney movie, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs...isn't that where it all started?
"Do you have a light?"
"No. I don't smoke."
"Oh. Well this is awkward."
😳😳
"What an awkward situation"
Or, Cruella could be even more of a badass and say, "no matter, I brought my own." And then proceed to burn the cape.
Cinna from hunger games, "I came up with that idea first, you know💁♂️"
Nah this is the 70s, Hunger Games is like a hundred years from now;)
it’s totally different, just because there is a dress and fire involved doesn’t mean it’s the same
I think Cinna travel by Tardis and make this dress for Cruella. Tottaly
WHo ever you are I LOVE YOU
@@jpgs0226 I love this conversation too and all the people who wrote it
Cruella knows how to make an entrance. What a queen. 👑
PERIOD
@@El-A1 I KNOW RIGHT
I know but the outfit Fire transformation I will do it for when I go to any Parties and Birthday Parties
@@alfredogomezgonzales6731 Ask the person beside you in the party if they do have a light. 😎
Yes a queen who skins puppies
"Do you have a light?" Oh because the animated Cruella was a smoker. Ya get it?
@Antoine Harrak Disney hasn't portrayed on-screen smoking for years due to a policy they established.
@Antoine Harrak does it really matter?
Well, according to the actress who portrayed her in the 1996 movie, she read the original book to see what made the character tick, and found an unapologetic Devil on legs who eats food black and peppered and loves fur because...
More recently, she said in another interview about _this_ movie.
_The original story by Dodie Smith is so brilliant. Cruella is called De Vil because she’s basically the devil and all the rooms are painted black in her house. There’s a roaring fire in all the fireplaces and that’s why she likes fur! Because she likes to be hot! So as far as an origin story goes? I’m curious._
@Antoine Harrak it will also forever be a mystery how plenty of other people started smoking
@@Mommyhalo not really, humans are very impressionable creatures.
Heck yeah two Emmas be setting the stage on fire! But the question is... *Who wins* ??
That’s the golden question can’t wait to find out on May 28th
Cruella's role could also have been Emma Roberts. OMG, it could have been 3 Emmas!
I’m glad Emma stone is playing cruella because she’s amazing and talented
And Emma Watson too!
Who's Next?
YOU DECIDE!
So basically everyone and even cruella family saw her as freak but she overcomes it with revenge, style, pose ok ok
I don't think that was Cruella family members at the party, or otherwise this woman would not have asked for the security to take her down.
@@VictorGonzalez-xs9oc yeah i know but im saying cruella family sees her as a freak also
RELEASE YOUR INNER FREAK!!!!
you´ll see...
The baroness is the only one, in her family. The baron, died several years ago, at that point.
This movie was one of the most pleasant surprises I have seen on screen in years. Absolutely stunning
It was great. People labelling it as another cheep nockoff movie don't know what thier talking about.
No matter how badass this scene is, I can’t get over the fact that her neck was completely bare when covered in the white gown 😅
Lol well observed 😅
Oh that’s true, aw well must be magic lol
Lol I didn't even see that
Great now i can’t unsee it
I didn’t see that till you pointed it out. Well spotted!
I like that they are not trying too realistic. Like obviously it's fiction but some movies try too hard. For some it works. For some it doesn't. For this type of movie, the direction is perfect.
Yesssss exactly
It worksss
Plus
Since it is set 70s London Punk Rock Revolution
You gotta have that rock music in the background which bring more authenticity of the 70s feel in cruella
I am finding this film very interesting, because they are not trying to make it look like Maleficent. She's being a real villain
The baroness and cruella are both villains facing off. I love it.
And another is their costume design 😍
Seeing as how much I HATED Maleficent, this one should be refreshing.
you'll be gag with the twist once you watch it pfftt
I for one am curious to find out how Cruella's obsession with Dalmatian dogs began and don't know if Disney will go there in the live action origin of Cruella DeVille.
Time and time again villains are usually created as a result of heartbreak so I assume Cruella had her heart broken which turned her bad.
"You are a villain, just not a supervillain"
"What's the difference?"
"The entrance"
“You’re a villain alright, just not a super one”
“Oh yeah? What’s the difference”
“ Presentation”
Sorry I just had to correct you 😅 I LOVE that scene
I think I get the story already- Cruella is probably gonna play doubles with Baroness, she's gonna work under her as a Red-head and gonna pay her back as _Cruella_ at the same time.
Yessssss that’s what I also think
Also curious about the scraggly dog. Wonder if her own dog gets killed thats why Cruellas payback is to go after dogs she cares of.
Spoiler : The Baroness is Her Mother
I love the fact their leaning into the "ella" part of her name with this Cinderella switch lol
Okay but which one is the wig? The red hair or the black-white hair? (I hope the red is the fake one)
I love how the music is like rock and vintage, it fits the character so much
Hush from Deep Purple.
Saw this in the theater and accidentally let out a “YASSSS” it was embarrassing lol
Do NOT interpret this scene as being the only highlight of the movie. The entire thing was a MASTERPIECE. And I’m not easy to please, especially with prequels. Easily one of the best movies I’ve seen this past year and Emma Stone did Cruella justice. Hats off to Glen Close for helping produce this. 👏👏👏👏👏
And the 2022 Oscar for Best Costume Design goes to....
Way too early for that...
@Aleksander Kahnsen Speaking of the costumes in Cruella, it was designed by Jenny Beavan (the costume designer behind the Oscar-winning costumes for Mad Max: Fury Road).
@Aleksander Kahnsen Well, it will be tough to call, given that there are potential nominees as well for Best Costume Design by next year, like:
Milena Canonero for Wes Anderson's The French Dispatch
Janty Yates for Ridley Scott's House of Gucci or The Last Duel
Luis Sequeira for Guillermo Del Toro's Nightmare Alley
Jacqueline West and Bob Morgan for Denis Villeneuve's Dune
Mary Zophres for Joel Coen's The Tragedy of Macbeth
Paul Tazewell for Steven Spielberg's West Side Story
Jacqueline Durran for Pablo Larrain's Spencer
Mark Bridges for Paul Thomas Anderson's Soggy Bottom
Sandy Powell for Eva Husson's Mothering Sunday
Blonde
OMG YASSSSSS
Legit the most BADASS scene disney has to offer this year (well this and wanda becoming the scarlet witch)
Make an impact? More like make an entrance!
PERIOD
i admire that the main lady just watched this display of complete badassery and in a somewhat deadpan look and boredom, she says, 'get out' like cruella was wasting her time, not crashing her party. that's pretty bold too.
She said get her as in bring her here who the fuck is that rewatch
She said "get her" because she just stole the spotlight. Baroness hated being stolen the spotlight. She doesn't even give credits to her designers and workers. Hence, the toast "to me", narcissistic.
I thought the Baroness said, "Get her". Then the security tried to remove Cruella & got their butts kicked.
Wow, Emma looked like The Red Death from Phantom of the Opera right there.
OMG, yes!!
OMG I CAN SEE IT🤩
When the Phantom Crashes the party? (I swear i seen that movie a dosen times and now I forgot the characters' outfits)
Cruella is so extra. *I LOVE IT!*
The whole movie was extra in the most enjoyable way!!
How she didn't get burned while lighting her costume is pure magic
The dog ran out from her white cloak after sensing something bad will happen is awesome 🐶
Nope he was part of the plan. She was supposed to throw the necklace at him
*When Professor Sybill Trelawny watches one episode of RuPaul*
Emma Stone really amazing ❤🤫
And Cruella really amazing as well.
Mic drop.
So iconic.
This film was so brilliant.
Gotta love the waiter who offered to take her glass after seeing her take one from the tower that made the entire thing fall 😂
Cruella is beyond a bad bad a**. She is also one of the best villains ever. What a great cast. Can’t wait to see the film on the 28th ❤️
0:39 - 0:46 That Fire element transformation I will use it any parties and Birthday Parties 🔥
Me too
Yes💖🌟🔥
You're welcome, darling.
0:32 nice acting 😊
I love how this'll be set in the 70's where punk rock was just getting started
I'm living for this bad bleep 😭✨
0:44 Cruella: You want me? You got me!
😍🤩 Emma Stone!!!!!!
So excited for this film😭😭😭😭
QUEEEEN ✨…this scene gives me chills every SINGLE time!!
Iconic scene - rebellious and showstopper
The hype is real!
I don't go out and see every Disney live-action version of their classic cartoons, but I actually want to see this movie.
Both Emmas are slaying 🔥🔥🔥🔥
She is a QUEEN!!!!!
Her expressions are just on point! Love it!
Whoever did this the costumes are writing the script Cruella keep it up👈👍👏👏⚡💯 they did a great job
Is it just me or the tone she had when she asked “do you have a light” sounded soooo much like Eva Green?
Now that is how make an entrance, and back the room up🔥
0:27 surprise that the guy who was next to the glass of wine didn’t say anything after Cruella purposely grab the drink and put it back on the plate 😅
this scene is everything!!
Gonna wait for the whole film to see this scene.
Emma Stone is finally being recognised for the underrated, unproblematic, professional, gorgeous, humble amazing human she is. Couldn’t be happier with the casting Disney. 💞.
you're handsome darling haha
Best. Entrance. Ever!
This movie is 2hr 14min it’s the longest live action for Disney so it’s worth paying 30$ on Disney+
Why would you pay $30 for a movie there? You're already paying the monthly fee. You're also having to watch it on a standard screen (or a small device screen) without theatre surround sound. And theatre's cost less than $30.
So how is that worth it?
@@senseweaver01 because I have been waiting for this movie for 4 years now and it’s 2hr 14min so that’s worth it and reviewers said it’s the best live action and second best live action from Disney
@@senseweaver01 well I personally have a canvas and a projector and after paying $30 I can literally watch it as often as I want. Unlike cinema, where I pay $20 for the ticket, $10-15 for snacks and can only watch it once
@@freebrandyornot You're leaving out the cost of the projector and canvas there though aren't you? You aren't paying for the screening technology in cinemas
@@senseweaver01 that's got very little to do with what I meant.
I have the advantage of being able to use a canvas and a projector. Also with the way of thinking you used in that statement, I'd have to say "it's necessary to own a digital device to watch the movie. I could just as much say, that it's stupid getting Netflix cuz you need a laptop, smartphone or a tablet first. The canvas and the projector are just as much a casual belonging of mine as a tv would be (which I don't have).
Anyway, I didn't say they come with the purchase on Disney. I stated WHY I'll pay $30 for this movie on D+ rather than paying $40 (or if I count in my family who wants to watch, too about $80-100)
Edit: you literally asked why someone would pay $30 for it and I merely named my reason. I didn't say it's the standard you get for the purchase
0:39 Me in the theaters: “I should not be this turned on watching a Disney movie.”
She's a queen!!!
I'm loving the cinematography
This movie will be a fashion icon
I wanna see and watch this Cruella movie...RIGHT NOW!!!
Me to 😭😭😭😭 but there only 28 days to go😭😭😭
Get the novelization. I did.
Emma vs Emma. I'm in!!! "Hahaaahaaaaaa...!"
You’re entrance was flaming, Shantay you stay
That's what I call "crashing a party"
I am so hyped for this movie!
This is what fashion is all about. Standing out from the crowd
This is my favorite scene ❤️
*Imagine if that guy didn't have a light* 🤣
I really can't wait to see this fabulous movie
1 month so much of experience
The best entrance ever~
But the " Here is to me"😂😂😂 so iconic
Put this film in next year's oscars!
Yessss
YES PLEASEEEEE
THE COSTUME
THE COSTUMMMMMMEEEEE
THE ACTING IN THIS FILM WAS PHENOMENAL
I just like how the baroness went through like, 5 different emotions within 5 seconds. Lol
THIS SCENE WAD EVERYTHING IDC IDC
Her hood & cloak actually remind me of how Helena (portraying Fairygodmother in 2015) disguised herself as an old woman before revealing she is a fairy
that was a really aesthetically pleasing transformation as well-
Emma Stone looks very cool and awesome
Lucky to see the movie early. This scene was spectacular. The acting is amazing.
I LOVE THIS SM OMGG
I can't wait to watch this film 🙂
Cruella De Vil
She Made A Comeback
I'm So Happy
I Love You Cruella De Vil
💋💋💋💋💋💋💋
I love myself too.
LOOKS SO GREAT THIS MOVIE !!!
She certainly knows how to make an entrance (👏)!
Spoiler
In the book says that she hate the baroness cause she kill her mother But in the book says that she is adopted so maybe the other guy is right Maybe Cruella biological mother is the baroness , then she was adopted and the baroness for any reason kills her adoptes mother maybe she works for her before.
this comment aged well lol
I can’t wait to see more as the movie comes out in less than a month!
Now. Im so sure this scene will be now a 'social media challenge' in the making.
Lets see who cremates themselves first.
My favorite Disney villain !!!! I’ve been waiting
Would have been super awkward if no one in the room had a light....
Waiting when they'll upload the next scenes
Professor Trelawney : "... was it something I said..?"
Wow! How funny was it with the wine glasses😂 that’s one way to make an entrance. Love the fire dress reveal in the trailers!
Amo ésta parte de la película, me la disfrute :) ❤❤❤
We love two girl bosses, gaslighting and gatekeeping each other literally and figuratively
Cruella’s entrance set everyone ablaze!
Now that is how to make an entrance! 👑
A meu deus que incrível aaaaaaah
Emma Thompson so gorgeous and beautiful
Such an iconic intro
She absolutely slayed this role
