No harm meant friend, I don't have time to fact-check if anything is a lie or the truth, I'm just trying to return the positive vibes that Mr Theo causes while also changing one's perception that have been acquired by habits and the repetition required to just survive this life for most people. In my opinion only, Theo Von is like a crowbar that pops locks so that people can proceed with an open mind and expand their own thought process and question themselves in a different way instead of being a slave to the Matrix. Love conquers all, music helps, never give up, you can still make it even if your bed was a piece of plywood put over a kitchen sink, because the family was out of room in such a small apartment for all the siblings. And maybe part of it is also that I was born in Baton Rouge and went South from there and that culture is different and I miss it.

The best part is that he is so genuine, the funny things he says half the time aren't even meant to be funny, it's just how his thoughts work and he vocalizes them, he's so awesome man

@@SWOLEX_1 nah if you have seen some of the boonies out in the south.. there are a ton of stories he says based on truth forsure. he lived in a town of 2k people, some weird stuff happens in those deep secluded towns in NA. thats where you find all the inbreds and meth smokers. had a friend that moved from oklahoma to my school and he had some insane stories like this too. pictures and vids to back it up.
That story about the wolves hit home for me. My neighbor got caught with 2 full grown mountain lions in his basement. He would steal neighborhood pets to feed them. They escaped one day when he OD'd doin speedballs and caused havoc for days on our town.. That was the same week that I accidentally lit the woods on fire behind my house. That was a strange time in my life. I'll never forget it.

I’ve been listening to comics for so many years, but I don’t think I’ve ever heard a comic more willing to share his most intimate life experiences and most embarrassing situations than Theo Von. And the funniest thing about that is that he never shows signs of being embarrassed. Everyone around him laughs and he just keeps telling the tale.

@@mrfluffywuffy6847 Appreciate the recommendation. I gave a listen to his set at the Apollo. He had jokes, but just not my flavor. He is in the same school as Aziz Ansari, with his loaded joke gun just pounding away, VERY quickly, at the audience. Maybe it’s me, but the fastest my brain will allow itself to function is around Sebastian Maniscalco mph. Any faster and my laugh is trying desperately to catch up with the jokes as they are spun. I mean, my favorite comic is Norm……was Norm. 😢……. That should tell you something about why Mr. Reece, while funny, isn’t really my speed.

I was thinking more of Brennans appearances on the have a word podcast. Where he talks about his formative years, his family of circus performers, his siblings, his time in the theatre scene, his run in with Kevin Spacey and his attempt at self fellatio amongst other things. Much in the same format as Theo in this video.

I’ve heard comics whose on-stage persona was in stark contrast to all other forms of media they appear on. And it seems true that no matter how fast your ideas leave your head on-stage, everyone slows down once in a conversational setting, like there’s some odometer reading that everyone must adhere to depending on the medium. On-stage, no more than 225 wpm. Podcasts, no more than 160 wpm. Late night talk shows, 275 wpm…. Seems like almost every comic changes tone once they leave the stage. Never heard of this podcast, have a word, but I get that Mr. Reece could move more at my pace once the mandatory odometer reading is forced upon him. My job allows for the use of ear buds to drown out the thoughts I have concerning how much of an incompetent dick my boss is. Perhaps I’ll give this a listen.
