The last scene in this where Tom is prodding for specifics in Theo’s crazy story made me realize that he is prodding for content, looking for the angle that he can expand on. These two are a good match, Theo doesn’t always feel comfortable enough to be as creative as he was on these exchanges.
A lot of people think Theo goes over Tom’s head but you explained it so well- Tom is just going along pulling as much as he can out of Theo because he knows it will be gold.
