Kuro has a good report card when it comes to player feedback. You can confirm this amongst PGR players too. Truly the dark horse of gacha games. If I’m spending on gacha money, I want it to go to Kuro because I know they can deliver and will constantly just get better.
As a PGR player, Sure they do have that record but that is also incredibly slow from kuro's side. they are not going to be fixing the current criticisms with Wuwa quick enough to not kill it for the majority of the playerbase if they do the same methods as they do with PGR.
@@Raya.T I’m a PGR player too but they have already shown that they have fixed the issues that were quite common during the livestream. Probably even more fixes that we don’t know about. We will never know for sure until the game launches ofcourse. Also understand that wuwa has a different dev team from pgr.
I finally gave up on Genshin last year. Seeing what they fixed in HSR but still refused to fix in Genshin just killed my drive to play it. Plus I agree, exploration WAS my favorite thing in the beginning but then it got stale and a chore. I am trying to temper my expectations for WW but honestly I am rather exited for it. I want to enjoy an open world again, and I want to play characters I enjoy just because I like them. Btw, this was first video of yours and it was great. I laughed out loud several times, thank you for that!
I’m so excited for WuWa just bc of the fact that you can play any character you want, you just need to learn the game mechanics in order to beat to things. It’s not like genshin where the spiral abyss is made best for the character that came out THAT patch. It leaves no wiggle room
Combat is so spot on, if I’m pulling for someone, it’s someone I really wanna enjoy and play. Someone I just wanna focus on, I can’t do that if I’m swapping 4 different characters. It’s like when you’re playing Pokémon, you’ll always have that “pikachu” you depend on. Yeah, the rest of your team is good, but you know your “pikachu” is the Pokémon u invest the most in.
Icl this might be the reason i only main heizou and wriosthely as they both require u to stay on field for their basic attacks, only time i have fun in that game 😭
but in boss fight if you has fast hand you benefits intro and ourto skill, is much fun... and at the same time use all 3 different pokemon instead off 1, you will see how cool it is..
The point about traversal is so true. I remember the day I quit Genshin was pretty much the moment I entered Sumeru. After 100% exploring Air Germany, Rock China, and Lightening Japan, the moment I laid eyes on all the fucking new hills I had to climb, I just thought no thanks and didn't come back. There's also the fact that all new content aside from characters and map updates are basically nothing but party games along with how Hoyo wipes its ass with any legacy content that isn't Bennett, but whatever.
@@erenyeager3952 I suppose what I meant was that in games usually once we get usto it we get complacent, then the games usually feel dull, it's like the spark find a bit, kind of like having sex with someone, but once you've been doing it with them for 5yrs it's not as it was when you first started.
yep hope other GI fanboi accept this competition, GI devs need to know that they cant always treat theyre playerbase like they always do or theyll lose some players with this all upcoming openworld gacha games
@dad6666_ Well hey now. I’m not someone who plays for rewards. I would have quit by now if I was. This isn’t me white knighting for Hoyo either. Fuck them, they treat us like shit. But the game itself hasn’t stopped being enjoyable.
@dad6666_ Yeah. quit genshin few months ago, never felt better. game might get better after few years when serious competition comes out fomo is not hand cuffing me anymore, for now i'm looking for a good hard game and definitely looking for WuWa.
@dad6666_ jesus youre acting like op killed your child or insulted your game or something. they never said the ww was bad nor that genshin didnt have any flaws. also that mint picker nickname is cute more than anything. are we supposed to respond like: * insert valley girl voice here * "omg are we on nickname terms now? stoppp" --this is how ridiculous you sound btw
@dad6666_ Jesus christ, be less aggressive you loser. I can't imagine any normal player yapping with this much spite, it must be exhausting. You don't want "competition" to emerge between gacha games, you want one to die and the other to step on its corpse. They're both gachas if you forgot, try to invest less in games with that kind of system. Gacha is not a genre, it's a legal gambling system.
Btw, Wuthering Waved comes from a studio called Kuro Games, the one that also made a game called Punishing Gray Raven, a hack and slash game (gacha too, of course), that has a very, VERY good combat mechanics. Basically, if you want a little bit of sneak peek on how WuWa's combat could become in the future, try to look at the boss fight gameplays for the game, for it is GOOD. Or try the game for yourself, it has a pc client, and runs pretty well on both pc and mobile. Be warned tho, this game's kinda old, so for you to reach the good gourmet of this game you gotta surpasses the early game of it. Now, i like this game, in fact i LOVE it, but the eraly game of it, not the best of the worlds, in fact lots of the complaints of the game back when it was released for global was because of the lack of quality for the game (one of it, at least). First 8 chapters? Skip em (long, i know, but it's aight, most people do), just watch those first 8 chapter's lore on youtube. But the rest of the game after that? Immaculate, fun to use characters wether it's a A-rank or an S-rank, easy to farm gear to build the characters, bosses/enemies that can ACTUALLY BEAT YOUR ASS if you don't even try to learn about the game mechanics even if you have top notch meta characters, and most importantly, a game dev that actually LISTENS to their players and always COOKS with the game's quality in each patch. But yeah, try PGR if you want, it has rough beginnings for new players, but pass those and you'll be in for a treat. If not, then you can just watch the boss fights or overall gameplay of the game. Edit: oh and btw, the gacha system for PGR? First release of a new character you can get them in 70 pulls guaranteed 100%. For weapons it's 80% within 30 pulls, but you can select any weapon that you want to pull from it, and when i said any i mean all of the 6-star weapons from the very first ones when the game released to the most recent ones. They also have a standard banner like your usual gacha games, but in the near future update in a few months, it's going to have a feature where you can choose any S-rank characters from the past that you didn't have yet on a 100% rate guaranteed. The beginner rewards for playing the game also has some freebies like a free 6-star weapon selector and S-rank characters of your choice. There's even some S-ranks that you can get for free by just grinding daily. Look, point is, this game's so generous as a gacha game, you can theoritically (if i recall) get all the characters, even the S-ranks, while still being f2p (exception for collab characters), so long if you didn't roll for the 6-star weapons (usually cause the 5-star weapons would do for those characters anyway) and you grinds for the game gacha currencies daily (not that hard of a chore, i can guarantee you that at least.)
@@yuranft9740 that shit took me, like, 30+ minutes to type, with as much detail as i can think off so the message that's send is clear... And all you can say to it is AI ahh paragraph??? English isn't even my first language dude... ...fuckin internet man...give me a break.
Been playing that game for 2 years until I stopped after I got Crimson Weave and Bianca's snow skin and let me tell you man, I left my account satisfied, just taking a break and I'm not worried I'd be left out since even if I'm an F2P I only missed a couple of characters and I'm fairly satisfied with my elemental teams, ice being the only weakest elemental team I got.
Hi yall, one month into wuwa and im enjoying the exploration. I literally love running around and gathering all the chest. The amount of pull i get from exploration alone is crazy (40+) and i still havent finish exploring (60%-70%) left
The exploration is so fun definitely!! especially how they gave a loot map for free and easy to use, making 100% regions much more enjoyable and just not tedious at all
21:23 the rates are similar on the character banners yes but I feel it's important to mention that the limited time weapon banners have a 100% drop rate on the featured weapon. There's no 50/50 to win, just get lucky or hit pity and you get the featured weapon guaranteed. For a Gacha game, this is nearly unprecedented, they're meant to be predatory in the way that they suck up all your money, so this was as surprising as it was generous of Kuro,. Just thought it was worth me making a mention of it when you talked about the rates in this part of the video.
Guaranteed way to get a certain thing = more likely to spend on it. I would definitely spend if Im lacking the pulls just to get the weapon cause like aesthetic and its guaranteed. besides not having to worry about 50/50 on something that doesnt even give that much gameplay value apart from stats makes it so that I dont have as much fomo. Real shit Arleccinos signature weapon having a unique interaction design wise on that scam of a weapon banner is stupid. My friend got like lyney's weapon twice and they dont have any archers built.
To be specific, There's a slight difference in the rates between the 2 games Wuwa: 0.8%. max pity 80 Genshin: 0.6% max pity 90 Its crazy that if you spend 240 pulls in genshin weapon banner, you may get 2 random 5* weapon and 1 signature weapon But in wuwa, 240 pulls WILL get you R3 signature weapon
For the stamina part, i really do enjoy WWs stamina mechanic, im actually able to enjoy getting lost in the game because who knows whatever I fight, collect, or any puzzles i will be solving, its a great time killer to just run around mindlessly if im tired with quests, along with the games environment, it felt pretty rewarding
I play genshin for the story and the husbandos and at this point ive been a day 1 global player , never took a break since the games come out, Dailys are indeed a chore idk why we cant have dailys like in starrail ( yes i play starrail too) where we just spend our daily lot of resin whether it be 160or 180 or whatever and bam our dailys are done , cuz all i do in starrail is log in spend my trailblz power sent out my assignments , use a friends hero in the dung run and bam dailys done and i can move on for the day I played WW cbt2 and tbh the story didnt reel me in and then i just skipped thru it , hopefully its improved for launch, i enjoy the gameplay and echoes system in WW and i plan to play WW at launch, i wont quit Genshin for it at least i dont plan to for now ... I want both games to succeed , and i hope genshin will improve once it has competition that isnt its own other games
they did improve the story post cbt2 as mentioned in their dev talk post cbt2. as while the story is great if you can push through the start of it the problem is if people are turned off from the start they then skip the rest and dont realize it gets alot better
I played genshin for just a month now and have done the content with just traveler with a few supports, and all I can say genshin has the best story but once you get the meta character of yours and start using it more frequently it'll be boring and won't be sticking lore wise.
kuro was digging feedback from genshin for years to make this game, better combat, better teams, better exploration, this game win me over when I see they have a bar for shields... like? GROUND-BREAKING.
Yeah, which is why I don't understand why Genshin still seemed better at launch. Like, what are the WuWa devs doing? Years of feedback has already been there, and yet it still lacks that certain appeal Genshin has. Like, imagine if Genshin incorporated even just the traversal mechanics of WuWa...Genshin would no doubt come out on top. I mean, I do want WuWa to succeed, and yet it's looking pretty bleak as of now
@@gemgem-hl7ii girl not even the action games from mihoyo have the detail of 10% of WuWa combat, chill mister mintpicker, WuWa still is better than genshin in a lot of mechanics, also genshin is still there, go play if the game even have something to do.
@@mauli00098 "not having 10%" is an exaggeration, and really, we are resorting to name-calling now? Do you feel compelled to fight anyone who presents arguments different from yours? I don't know why you're telling me to play Genshin. I already am, but how does that suddenly get rid of WuWa's shortcomings? Like I said, I do want it to succeed, so I'm not simply hating on it, but rather just stating my observations. You mentioned digging feedback from Genshin for years, which made me compelled to reply, because I'm just wondering how WuWa could still not overthrow Genshin's appeal during launch despite the availability of years of feedback from Genshin's players. Yes, WuWa has improved upon some of Genshin's shortcomings, but if you play it it still feels like just a darker Genshin clone. On the other hand, Genshin is an amalgamation of many inspirations from different games instead of being just "a better version of one particular game but still almost the same". Not everything is about combat, you know. Years of feedback and they couldn't even write a better story. Again, I want WuWa to succeed, because at the end of the day, a good game is a win for gamers. But yeah, I don't understand how they couldn't apply those "years of feedback" properly.
@@mauli00098 Kuro games took inspiration from NieR:Automata and DMC. Hoyo took inspiration from Botw. A much more tame gameplay. Of course ppl gonna praise WW gameplay instead since GI takes on a more casual gameplay.
it's a valid argument for me, i don't care jhow good the story and world of genshin is, Paimon AND the pointless dialogues before keyu moments just killed my interest to push on the story (i stopped after first part of sumeru questline). Also, the MC being basically mute and useless despite fighting literal gods is just so dumb.
Dropped genshin a year ago and tried coming back but fully dropped it around 6 months ago. I'm fine with the grind and chores since I did play warframe for 450hrs in just 2 months. But just the fact that everytime I see genshin videos about updates. It's some obscure QoL that has been requested for years, and it's treated like such a good update. Seeing the progress in WuWa, especially since it's JUST past cbt2, is just absolutely refreshing. Systems that were added MONTHS after in genshin are already being heard by Kuro games. The echoes are too grindy? Already on that. The story is sluggish at the start? Already reworking the pacing. Proper rewards for Account level? Already in cbt2. I started getting more and more tired of genshin when the 2nd anniversary rolled out since I knew 50/50 of the community accepted it and hated it at the same time. It's like they're trying to give AS LITTLE as possible especially compared to other gachas I've played while being WAY bigger than them. I'm disappointed in the team behind Genshin, I'm absolutely fine with Genshin itself.
Haha w for playing warframe, cross save dropped and me and my friends finally got to scratch that itch. 300+ hours in a couple weeks 😭😭. But yeah, its strange to see Genshins community so indifferent to what they do to us. Feels like it was just a year ago that we were getting on hoyo for giving absolutely abysmal rewards for their anniversary event. We actually got better rewards too. Knowing that, I don't understand why the community doesn't try to band together again. Regardless. Im excited for WuWa. Very excited, especially after having just played dmc and seeing the combat WuWa.
I'm 100% a Genshin Simp. Hell, I have Raiden and Hu Tao tattoo's... With that being said, WuWa IS going to be the shock in the gacha world that Genshin will feel. The QoL's is enough for a majority of old burned out Genshin players to be optimistic for WuWa. To me WuWa is old school gaming. Creative world, fun mechanics and rpg mechanics that make your time worth playing. For example, the fact that you can just build a character and they are viable to defeat bosses AND explore the world is straight up old school rpg gaming. The game seems like it won't penalize you for not being "meta" (which Genshin has). WuWa literally feels like if you turned Devil May Cry into an open world Gacha, and if that statement holds true, I'm fuckin here for it
This exactly! I just miss using whatever I preferred instead of what kills things the fastest! Especially in a gacha game where characters are unique. It’s kind of a slap in the face when you can’t use that character wether it’s constellation, team builds, enemies are immune to it, or just straight rng it gets very tiring after awhile.
this 100%. i hate meta and tier lists, let me play what i want and still succeed if i'm skillful enough, don't gate me off because i choose not to play a character, build a character a certain way or because of some arbitrary numbers or immunities.
I'll be honest just because you have Raiden And hue Tao it doesn't make you a simpa real Genshin simp wouldn't try other games I'm not a simp I have does characters you have and more but I quitted Genshin
@@XeqtrM1 lol I just don't have the characters. I have TATTOOS of them. I also have raiden hu tao themed keyboards and artwork. Hell I even paid to go the concert. I'm 100% Genshin enthusiast, but that won't stop me from enjoying other games/things
At first I thought the elemental reaction system in Genshin was really cool, until I actually learned more about the game and realized how hard it restricted your teambuilding. Now I will be heading to WW to RP as someone who's never heard of "gacha" before by soloing everything with only Rover. That man actually has enough of a functioning moveset to feel like a main character so I intend to treat him as such, lmao.
Rover become main character for a reason dude.. he's not a mere weakling that lost memory😂.. remember rexlent do no hit when fighting boss in pgr, i bet he will do the same in wuwa but with only rover 😂
Would you rather have a main character in the story or main character in the game? I personally rather have both, but if it can't then I'd rather have a main character in the game. But since the main character in genshin impact is both weak and stupid both in game and story I guess genshin impact don't have an actual main character. I mean in some quest the traveler get fooled by random NPC easily that they ended get trapped in a metal cage can't even break it that they need a key or someone else help to open it.
I agree with this point of yours. I still use my female rover too, I don't know why but I feel like Rover Ultimate ,"the end has come....." is very op with good build. She do a lot of fractiona dmg.❤
I was never able to get into genshin no matter how many times i tried it, but wuwa was an instant obsession for me. I love how engaging the combat feels and that I don't necessarily need to build a team to survive. My main team currently consists of 3 main dps (havoc rover, calcharo & jiyan) just because i can do that and it gets the job done just fine
I dropped Genshin back when they released the interview that said they had no plans for, and would never, implement a proper endgame for Genshin. The day I read that, I felt the last drop of will to launch it, dissolved into nothing. I miss some specific aspects of Genshins gameplay, and I'm looking hella forward to WuWa. Maybe this game can fix all the mistakes Genshin made.
I agree with literally everything, I stopped playing Genshin because it was such a chore but I still keep in touch with the story because that’s what really stuck with me. My biggest hope is that the story is more intense. Like for example remember when we fought raiden and then suddenly it turns out raiden was just like really nice out of nowhere?? Like she was this strong enemy then suddenly became this softie waifu after the climax of the story? I was so caught off guard because I felt like it cut off so much potential for the story and her development but they just dulled her character down to attract sales. The story is the biggest reason I was playing but basically everything just had this like googoo gaga happy ending which just made everything feel boring
Love the vid!! A couple of things that may be exciting for you that I didn't see you mention in there: -The gacha for the characters is the same as Genshin, you're correct! However, the Standard Character Banner and the Standard Weapon Banner are separate and you can choose a standard weapon to specifically pick so you don't have to hope you get the right one! This seems to be a permanent feature. -Additionally, when you start the game, you can actually choose a Standard 5 Star to summon for and guarantee that specific Standard 5 Star! This would be like being able to choose Mona, Jean, Diluc, Keqing, Tighnari, or Dehya at the beginning of the game! You do still have to summon for them, but when you get a 5 star, it's definitely the one you want! -Speak of getting the one you want, the limited weapon banner is also 100% for the rate-up weapon! There is indeed 50/50 for the characters, like you said, but that's not the case for the weapons! The only 50/50s you'll have to worry about losing in the game are on the limited character banner. I hope you and everyone else who decides to give Wuthering Waves a try really enjoy it! I'm pretty hyped about it and love seeing people excited as well! Edit: Another thing I forgot! When running up a wall and running into an obstacle, your character will flip over it rather than be blocked and fall. Something small, but I love it!
The thing with Hoyo, is that their games have their teams seperates from one another, the very same reason on why Genshin's QoL is very VERY scarce, and yet their other games have a lot of QoL that the communities needed a MAINLY BASIS each month (especially Star Rail.) So if you want someone on who to blame with Genshin's lack of QoL, blame the Genshin devs, not Hoyo as a whole. Maybe, idk, kinda, up to you really.
the reason genshin qol and rewards are bad is who is in charge of it as he is the same person that used to be in charge of honkai impact during the days when it also gave bad rewards but hsr and honkai impact are now lead by the same person which is why they both have great rewards and qol and genshin dosent.
@@MrBentalton777 damn, the situation's that bad? I've heard about it before but if that's the reason why it felt like HI3rd doesn't have lots of QoL at their early days, then i guess that makes sense.
Same here, I though wuwa gonna be same old genshin copy clone with unskippable TV drama but I didn't expect I 'll get hooked to it sooner than i thought😂.
Honestly genshin impact is what killed my enjoyment for open world games. Now I specifically avoid any games tagged as open world. I'm giving wuthering waves a solid chance because the movement is what I have wanted in genshin for ages...
Yeah there are tons of open world games that are big for the sake of being big. But they forget about actually traversing the open world. Thats why In Botw we have horses, motorcycles or other creative ways to fling yourself across distances
@@JordinKun witcher 3 is like that but the world was filled with stuff to see and do and not once did I feel like my time was wasted on side missions and stories. star rail too, were no paimon and I can play who I want most of the time cause all units are good. even four stars are on par to five stars and have content to them.
fr and the limited event weapons in genshin kinda sucks, because people who joined later in the game wont be able to get those weapons anymore, like festering desire is such a good sword but not everyone has it because it was so early on in the game. 😞
Imma be playing both games, but I hope WW does really well so it forces Genshin to improve. I really like WW aesthetic, character models and combat better though.
I just started WuWa today and already love it much more than Genshin. I was never really 'obsessed' with Genshin so I was on and off with it because it became so tediously slow but also hard - there was way too much to keep up with without any changes since the beginning. WuWa though is already amazing. The combat is fun with actual dodging and parrying and the exploration is so much easier with wall climbing and running not making you lose stamina - it makes the game much more fun and accessible.
Me too! I actually got Jinhsi at 50/50 and got a 5 star sword at 74 pulls. Genshin, I pulled for Xiao and lost my 90 pull, I GOT Mona. That was last back stabbing Genshin will do to me! WUWA is very generous with gift giving! Genshin, not so much.
Dude playing Wuwa is fucking SICK! In Genshin, you just mash the buttons until the enemy dies essentially, but Wuwa actually encourages you to be fully aware of the movements being made by the enemy and engages you so well to actually be conscious in combat! I literally keep exploring the world because I WANT to keep fighting! I love this game 🙏
7:19 I cannot agree more. The moment i installed and went into GI, and saw the travel mechanics i was like....idk if i can play this game but i stuck with it. I thought it would get better. Inzauma came around and they didnt expand the stamina bar as Mondstadt and Liyue's occuli did....i thought of quitting but i was invested in the story.... Sumeru comes around and they things started to get dire, they added the desert, which while i dont hate as much as the average person....its so goddamn big. Which i like - but traveling.... Then they added Fonatine and im pretty quit now. The hilly terrain is just torture now. Then they address the issue by adding charcters with extremely limited speed mechincs and try to get u to pull for them. I hate that shit so much. I dont wanna pull freaking Wanderer to not feel like im having an asthma attack while gliding. Or play sayu and Yelan all the time. I wanna enjoy the freaking scenery, with my favorite characters i worked so hard to get. But I cant, because the travel is such a slog fest. But the cherry ontop. is when I talk about it on reddit or anywhere, i get downvoted that "adding speed mechanics or a mount system would break immersion" What? At this point, if they added a mv spdd food u can craft and eat that increase mv speed by 100% outside combat, that would be a godsend. But no.
I agree a 100%. If i didn't have yelan and c4 lynette, i would have quit already. I cannot bear using a team without at the very least one of them anymore, exploring would be torture otherwise
and in 5.0 they cook mount system, what a coinfidence, thx wuwa, lazy hoyo asses slowly pushes from dirt. But its limited only on natlan and thsi shit like swimming in fountaine
Always has been Genshin problem, completly ripped off BoTW base movement BUT intentionally removed the mouns just to make you pull characters with movement skills, thats just dog shit greedy design. As you said, the Map is so huge but the exploration is so slow is just not fun, specially climbing, climbing is cringe, even BoTW knew this and added mechanics to get to high places faster, while ToTK made climbing completly optional with their insane arsenal if tools, yet NO, Genshin climbing has been cringe for years and Will keep being till It EoS WuWa added wallrun, hook and Echoes to fly, ride, and swin faster, all of this being accesible independently of the character you are playing, this is why as a base Game design WuWa is 10x times better than Genshin. Imaging being a new player without any 5* star that just started to play and you have literal MILES of map, unskippable walls of text everywhere and no ways of fast travel cuz you dont have TPS and exploration skills on your poor designed f2p roaster. Yeah i would die of cringe as a new player in Genshin. Without mentioning that you cant even access the newest region to farm the materiales for the characters you just pulled, It WILL take you months wheter you want It or not. 💀
@@sappyzap I'm sorry but do you think there's elevators in the wild of fontaine or smth??? The only elevators I remember is when you first enter fontaine, though i haven't explored the newest region added to fontaine so I could be wrong but I kinda doubt they're there. Also i do agree with the swimming but only because your stamina doesn't feel like you run out in 2 seconds of swimming. Also op, about sumeru. I was really happy at first at the forest part when they added those yellow thingies (i forgot their name), but when the desert came out I wish they added more especially to the more open bits where it's just running and running and running...
I was big on the Genshin hype, went full meta and even whaled for a couple months when it was still fresh; not regretting it now, but over time we saw how complacent the company became, not even trying to follow the generosity of Honkai Impact, just because the people were still coming back. New regions added some cool stuff sure, and exploration is still pretty good for the visual aspect alone, but the game is basically still the same as years ago. Star Rail improved a lot upon their gacha formula and has now become my favorite turn based game, like the meme says "Genshin could never!" I'm pretty hyped for WW just because of what it seems to be doing right in terms of engaging combat + smooth exploration and actual endgame content. I really hope they play their cards right and if they follow the PGR generosity + feedback listening we're eating good!
i have one point about traversing in genshin vs wuwa, for example if a teleport waypoint is exist every 1KM, in genshin YOU WILL eventually travel from waypoint to another waypoint relatively safe and lose nothing, nor you get something if you just walk/run through that 1KM, in wuwa they give a reason for us to travel that distance, we kill we conquer and we get a golden echo. heck they give a reason to pull on a weapon banner for make it 100% guarantee. I still play both but a prefer exploration and battle in wuwa, genshin have its own merit in their elemental reaction, also something that at least till now is and still a factual and objective is that Genshin (Hoyo in general) music is untouchable
I want one thing for people who would like to try WuWa out, please please dont market it as another "Genshin Killer", like ToF, we knew what happened..
One thing about the gacha system of Wuthering Waves that I really like is that the weapon banner doesn't have the shitty 50/50 like Genshin. If you get a 5*, it will guaranteed be the banner weapon
I love genshin, been playing it since day one and plan to play it till the end cause my gf liked it and wanted me to play it with her and i got so immersed in its characters, world, lore, etc and the archons quests have become big events that we can enjoy together. While i do agree on its flaws and we're also super excited for WW,we still love genshin to this day and hope it gets better.
If you think its good then good for you, but hoping the game gets better I think that is completely impossible. The most possible you get is a better character that powercreep the old one so that the old one become simply no one uses except those who forcing themselves to play them.
Funny thing. All the reasons you're unhappy with Genshin are the reasons I dropped WoW to then play Genshin for 5 weeks and realize, 'wait this isn't any better' and jump to Honkai Impact 3rd. Three years later I barely play anything other than HI3rd. Cause if I feel like it I can be done with my daily stuff in about 5 minutes. Another 15 for the half week cycle Abyss mode and maybe 15 more once a month for the open world missions if I've run out of quick complete cards. And the weekly content take about half a hour but you can spread that across the whole week or pick a night and clear it all in one go. You can be done with everything Honkai 'requires' of you for the week in a total of 4 hours (again that across all 7 days) OR you can decide you don't feel like it and just show up in the middle of the patch, do the 8 to 12 hours of story and come back in six weeks if you have more important things to do. You'd miss out on the additional up to 8 hours of event story each patch but most events are non-canon so it's not like you'll lose any context. Alternatively you can decide you like it here and be in the game for 3 hours each night and you WILL find stuff to do. Not all of it will result in rewards ... but it shouldn't need to.
The problem with genshin is that they dont care. Horrible anniversary rewards, horrible daily rewards(among the worst ive ever seen actually). They already made all the money they need, and didnt even use the cool combat that honkai 3rd had. This game looks like it potentially could be a better genshin, but story investment, quality of life updates, how well it runs, and ultimately keeping content coming will determine if it'll be kinda like what ffxiv is to WoW
You forgot to mention but when u pull on the limited character banner the weapon is 100% garanted to be the weapon from the banner (and they have 2 standard banners 1 for weapon 1 for character and you also select the weapon that you want from the standard weapon banner)
I really dislike the elemental mechanics and some characters not being worth pulling because I dont have a good team for them. Thank God Wuwa is different in those regards.
i also strongly dislike swirl priority and elemental debuffs and effects (e.g. cryo slowness, electro energy loss, hydro cooldowns), they're designed in a very irritating way in genshin so overall the elemental system, while good in concept, proves to be more annoying than fun to some of us.
I'll be real. The elemental reactions system makes characters feel the same. Even though they there own animations. They just feel the same because they end doing the same reactions like any other character.
Oooooooh you just reminded me of the damn traversing in genshin, just like let me get to point A to point B faster when exploring new areas, not me changing my team to get the right elements and right team to get the 15% speed boost when running, 15% reduction on stamina, waiting my 15 second Cooldown on my ability to get to that area faster, then wait 5-10 seconds to restore my stamina, fight this enemy for chest, with the same team, same fight, roll my gacha for this region bc this character is stronger in this meta, all I want is my primo gems from the spiral abyss so I can get new characters to play so I have new things to play, but everyday in genshin is a chore that I really really dislike, and the storage no, there is more that I would want to say but that would take me, idk but all I know it’s a lot that I would want to say about genshin and the oh so many flaws that I have with it, I’ll just leave some of it here
The way youre so calm and have no care about things is so fun, i also think same about genshin, and its been just a waste of time, anyways im gonna stalk your other videos lol. You got my sub brother :3
Watching this while playing genshin, and still agreeing with every point he made about genshin. I've lost passion in the game as its grown, I used to play it for hours everyday, but now its just not as fun as it used to be. The only reasson I keep going back to genshin is because, I used to have so much fun playing the game, the characters, and my brother wants to continue playing. When ww comes out genshin is for sure out. My brother wants to continue playing the game as hes spendt a lot of money on it, he doesnt want to let it all go to waste, but idk im defentiely out, ill only go back to help him farm ig🤷♀
As an ex genshin player ar55 and someone who spent considerable money on it: WW is much better and will be much better for those players who look for serious and fun gameplay, the story can be boring for some, but the thing is to pay attention to details and for me the apocalyptic topic is so good. The characters are far better designed than Genshin's with more variety and dynamics. The exploration and overall world seems more real and relatable. And the rewards... oh man, like 50 wishes are being gifted for free and more after completing certain lvls I got Neuvillette, Kazuha, and not even Arlecchino have better visuals and combos than Calcharo (my first 5star) Something worth mentioning is the effort put into the side stories and quests to actually be interesting, in Genshin I used to rush them just for primos, but in ww I found the stories quite funny and relatable, npcs with personality In Genshin, as ar55 in endgame, the game is beyond boring once you complete archon quests. All you can do build characters and explode abyss enemies, cos exploration is ridiculously easy (purposely, again, cos it's aimed to even children as players) In general, is a more childish game for casual players, and that's okay. But you can't really compare Mondstat vs Jinzhou, Baizhi vs Barbara, Rover vs Traveller, Keqing (ex keqing main) vs Calcharo, a Hilichurl that looks like a fkln cuddly toy (apparently cute) vs the vast variety of good designed enemies in ww. When I fought bosses in ww and they did insane combos to my character i was so hyped because that requires some brain to dodge/counterattack, like that's what a combat should feel! Not just spamming abilities and combos to so predictable enemies WW is so much better in my opinion and will continue to improve as it's proving in just 3 days of launch. I can't compare my first days of Genshin with this whole adventure in ww At this point I regret spending money on Genshin, cos it was never my ideal game, it's more like a fairytale game, beautiful world yes, but not really fun after some time. Again, this is just my personal opinion. If you look for a more serious, challenging, rewarding and diverse game... Wuthering Waves is just excellent
I will also add that there are going to be mounts in this game. Infernal rider echo. Has two forms combat and just straight up mount mode and just drive around the map. I heard there will be a bird one but thats have yet to be seen.
im day one 3 years player and quit for better. When I first played, I knew that GI's gameplay combat was terrible, but as time went on I forgot about their gameplay and i just dont care anymore. its sad
I dropped genshin right after finishing fontain, and i have to give you right. Genshin is incredible boring. Your point with exploring the world map, the limitation in stamina and and you said it on point. The Story was in Fontain interesting but everything before was not much interesting. It was, although good enough to waste time as you said, but with WUWA i feel like a game is coming finally out that is more to my taste. And yeah no hate to Hoyo and genshin but i am really tired of their games i can't literally see it anymore.
the only reason i play genshin now is the lore. i dont even do the dailies now. just wait for the archon quest and do it and then leave it fr hsr. my fontaine exploration is below 50 percent
The first time i saw Wuthering Waves. My first reaction was pretty much like " Genshin clone", just like the BOTW community used to do. However, the day i decided to give a spin(right after watching my 12 yo cousin play), i immediately understood why this game is seeing as a direct competitor to Genshin and could get even better. It brought back that feeling i had the first few months of playing Genshin. The characters, the excitement, urge to visit new places, fight stronger enemies, etc... For the past two years i was on and off with Genshin. It still has this special place in my heart(despite all the shit with it), but for now Wuthering will be the one taking the spot in my free times. Really great video (:
I won’t lie I was one of those “childish Genshin players” and honestly I look back at myself and do cringe…but aside from that I’m very happy excited to play WuWa and I’m even more excited because I’m going into it with a fresh mentality and not the same one I did with Genshin. WuWa also is giving me the nice same feeling that I got when I first started exploring the Genshin world before it became tiring. ALSO immediate sub from. I love the way you speak and how open you are about your feelings for both games. Looking forward to watching your other videos.
Agreed. So glad I didn’t spend money on genshin. Wanted comeback to genshin just pull Kazuha c6 in his rerun, to that moment I basically already didn’t played just was claiming my ingame mail rewards from maintenance, I did pull him c5 and was like: “Okay.. What now?” This was the moment when I realized I don’t enjoy this game at all anymore, I don’t care if I lost 50/50, I don’t give af about story because how terrible the storytelling is, sometimes it was good but the problem is b4 that good quest there is a bunch of stupid af festival bullshit And daily tasks man… Talk to that bitch, talk with this one, give this, catch that, run here, run there… Fuck it 💀
@@Morax024 fr though. Even right now with all new locations Dragonspine is still the best for me, helping other people with Dragonspine quest was really fun, when there was no meta, delivery food event, god daym I hated it lmao. I’m thankful to genshin since it’s introduced me a gacha games as a genre I guess, but daym… Just sad to see what genshin have become, I’m just feeling like I left from abusive relationship man lmao
What I liked about WuWa is that just by playing you will eventually build your characters. You are not tied to resin system. And even tho there is rng like in genshin. You still can get good overlord/calamity and elite pieces from events!! Imagine if in genshin you could get a goblet with a certain stat that is tied to its set! Yes, you still need luck with sub stats, but freeing me from 1 out of 3 potential rng moments feels so good!!
Because most of us are tired of genshin , Mihoyo , and want something new and better , though in the same molds , from devs that we can actually put our faith in?
@@lovelessshoot883 It depends. Im a day one player with two accounts and loving every update of genshin. I dont follow the hate bandwagon shinanegans and definitely Devs are like the most hardworking. Other people only see the surface level without patronizing the devs passion towards the game. If devs dont love this game, imagine how much bugs are terrorizing everyones account right now. That is why I have faith in them. Wuthering waves will be the same (hopefully).
Aleluya brother, i mean i dont understand why ppl cant play both games xD and it's obvious something is happening at hoyoverse they already anounced graphical improvements coming whit 5.0 so im really glad for Wuwa and the competition.
@@ForgottenShinobi11 because people always want to be competitive for no reason. at the end of the day, games are made for fun, but people online love sucking the fun out of anything.
@@ForgottenShinobi11 Because most people don't have the time to play two Open World Gacha Games at the same time daily... Especially if the game doesn't respect the player's time
the thing that made me say goodbye to genshin was not only the small features that makes the gameplay incredible, or the devs ACTUALLY listening to the community, it was the gacha system. it’s not very different from genshin but for me it is. im not even lying when i tell you i NEVER won a 50/50 in genshin and i always had to do 80-100 pulls exactly to get the character i wanted, which took me about 4 months to farm. now im happy in ww with my jiyan with just 4 days of playing the game, maybe didn’t win the 50/50 but definitely didn’t spend 80 pulls to get him, i literally almost cried when i realized i didn’t have to spend money in this game 😭☠️
Me who started playing on release and building my teams based on characters I liked only and now I'm fucked and have been stuck at AR50 for the LAST 2 YEARS being unable to pass the ascension quest cause I haven't been able to farm stuff for a good team in early game and no longer have the paitence/time to farm. ALso the shit luck on their gatcha and having no meta characters :'D I'm F2P in both and tbh Kuro makes farming for wish materials so much easier and gives so many more free pulls and character selection in wishing that I actually manage to get meta characters out of luck so def enjoying that more
Even though i highly doubt Wuthering Waves will trump Genshin in popularity, i hope it'll be a great experience and provide competition to Genshin so they'll have a reason to start improving their game
No but can we talk about how crazy stingy Genshin is tho. In wuwa, within like a week of playing i have 3 five stars but in Genshin, you get a Noelle and that's it (sorry to the Noelle lovers out there lol) Next, the level rewards, in Wuwa they be giving out FREE FIVE STAR WEAPONS DUDE AND WHAT DO WE GET IN GENSHIN??? THREE FUCKING STANDARD PULLS?????????? how stingy can you be omg it baffles me. That's literally like a finger to players like oh you reach AR60? Good job here you go you just wasted all your time Plus all the event limited weapons, like Albedo's weapon, if they are already giving it out for free why is it so hard for them to just make it accessible for everyone like seriously what is the issue with that i don't understand Not to mention the anniversary shenangigans pretty sure i don't have to even remind y'all LOL
I love your trash talk about genshin bro lol. The amount of potential that can make genshin becomes one of the best gacha game is ridiculously high imo, and yet they did nothing. The difference in live service quality between genshin and hsr are craaazyyy considering they're from the same company.
Lets be honest sometimes genshin story is somewhat good but mostly also bad written as there is plot holes and discrepancy within one scenario and others. For example, is the traveler strong and smart or weak and stupid? because the traveler's strength and intelligence level are inconsistent and always changed in different quest to fits the story. I think forcing something to happen to fits in the story will only ruin the story.
there are so many videogames with incredible writing and much better stories compared to genshin. its such a shame ppl playing videogames for the first time through genshin think its the greatest story ever told. genshins worldbuilding is absolutely great, but peak story? nah
Genshin wins with its design and color. Wuwa wins with its gameplay. Each has their own pro and cons. I stopped playing Genshin because the way hoyo didn't do fair in Ei in term of story, like there's little positive in Ei's personality/design but a lot in Makoto and other Inazuma characters. (Ei is my favorite and I've been waiting till around 4.2 or 4.3 for Ei update other than a 5 seconds screentime in events) While in Wuwa, I like the gameplay, yet I feel its comedy/meme thingy doesn't as reachable as Genshin. Regardless, the cons is all about my opinions. But, I believe everyone agree with its pros. So, I hope both game can learn and increase their value and color.
I was an avid genshin player who got burn out after farming, I found myself uninterested with wherever the story was going and even logging on everyday to do my dailies felt like a chore. Still tried to play like on and off because I LOVED that game, met so many friends and had so many memories plus the lore! (I don't think anything tops Genshin when it comes to the lore.) Even tried HSR and I fell in love with it too, but couldn't return to Genshin especially because my main acc got hacked 💀 I took it as a sign to move on lol and I've been looking forward to WuWa for a while, even signed up for pre-registration and so far I genuinely find it fun. The combat is so refreshing and fun, I'm so looking forward to how the game evolves.
so glad I started playing wuwa and I noticed the difference right away from when I used to play genshin ( prlly 6 months lul) but yeah , first time I feel so enganged to the game, story, love combat fast phase and grind is not as bad tbh, I literally got my main to 60s between 5 days ( didnt spent a cent on gacha) and pull the op Resonators right away x3 and btw you totally right about the chill part, haha
I ftp both, I've played Genshin for years I'm there for the story which is incredibly well thought out and provoking, and I like exploring the world the landscapes are beautifully designed but it's so slow. It's like a carefully curated museum. WuWa on the other hand I love the gameplay and the rapidness of the movement it's fluid and fun, WuWa is awesome to run around in it's like actually being out in something truly wild. I'm waiting to see how the world building is gonna play out in WuWa but so far I like what I see. I love the variety of gameplay styles. Nevermind Rover being able to switch elements from the character screen which is amazing.
this was literally my first thought 😭I love genshin a lot but i feel wuthering wave is far more interesting (in my first few minutes of playing) i felt way more invested, dont get me started on the combat bro, it feels and looks so good i cant even explain it. Obviously it still has its ups and down but personally i love it overall aswell as the animations and the plot as of now
The writing for the story changing last minute was so annoying and frustrating. The thing i looked most forward for this game was how the other characters reacted very naturally to the mc and didn't d ride them the instant they met, cn players had other plans though and kuro probably was scared of the cash going away so they couldn't take the risk i guess. Another thing is the side quest writing being so boring and unnecessarily long which something genshin also does, plus the environment was very similar to horizon which i very liked but it lacks uniqueness and polishing, genshin has its own charm with more of a cartoony look to it but ww environments look straight out of a premade asset packTT. Character designs concepts are really good on paper but when the final result was actually in game it lacks personality, the designs are just there but nothing about them remind me of their abilities, kuro also did this thing where insert any color+black or white equals awesome character design which is so not true and very boring..overall everything needs a touch up and polishing and im willing to keep playing if they improve, in conclusion not a genshin killer in the slightest.
The writing changing was due to Chinese laws being very strict on what can be shown in video games, Chinese player preference and feedback. I do agree it would’ve made for a better story but there’s only so much you can do.
@@JordinKun They could still work a way around it, but alas. The new story is still decent though the quality of the cutscenes and the models are astounishing, super eye candy^^ I hope they improve and continue what they do best.
I'm so damn excited for wuthering waves, I have been praying for a competitor that would put Genshin on its ass for their douchery. I'll be going all in for wuthering waves because I'm so happy to be able to play a game that takes the feedback and does something about it 🙏
Ppl complaining abt ww’s story dont remember how mid (or worse than mid) genshin 1.0 story was. I say this as someone who actively plays genshin still, (fontaine and sumeru are peak, cant wait for natlan) with plans to also play wuwa (my plan is to not pull at all until a certain level as a fun challenge to make me build the free 4*’s)
It just feels so good when someone is just spitting facts. raw and unfiltered facts not sugar coated with lies and fence sitter bullshit such as "Better than nothing". the Raw truth Ahhh... it feels so good i'm gonna come.(jk)
here before the blind hate brigade shows up, overall great effort put in the video, very entertaining. edit: just finished watching the video and 2 things, 1 the hate brigade was fast, and 2 I don't even see any problems with what was stated in the video, there was no slander nor false information but you also went into the pros of Genshit yet these people continue to white knight a multi billion dollar company. I understand loving a game but being blind towards its flaws will prevent its growth (literally whats happening lately).
Here's my guess for WuWa It starts out a bit overhyped people are happy there playing the game some technical issue some translation issue but the honey mood period is in full bloom. Then comes the real test where something is off because side not the discourse on Genshin is sort of BS "Its not Genshin doesnt listen to its fans." Its Genshin Caters to Dozens of different communities that are constantly in a push and pull" So the big concern is WuWa trying to cater to Hardcore and Casual will that bite them in the ass. They've already capitulated with things like Shinies no longer being rare finds What happesn when Metas are formed How does in game balance function when your DPS damage outscales Enimeies HP What about characters like Jiyan who have a Built in Counter mechanic in his kit. The issue is less will they knock it out of the park on release but more will Fans stick with it during the turbulent month's WuWa will F Up on something as much as people think Money= Development its more so Talent/Time = Development I dont think this is a challenger to Genshin if anything with how theyve constructed the game it seems more like they want to fit into your Gacha rotation This is a game that wants you to see it be familiar with the systems and treat it like a Genshin+ Theres a lot of positives like the Comabt isnt deep but its complex it relies on Skill Expression But that also means like PGR it needs to provide player more toys more often Combat is these easiest to get repetitive and so needs to be constantly updated. Gacha players are not intrinsically motivated so they need a constant flow of Gambling Currency Aesthetic does matter and while having a theme. Characters don't feel distinct enough But people should be exited at the very least this game isnt coming out around Natlan
ww has required content for casuals but optional endgame content for hardcore players which imo is a good balance. also their is no such thing as damage outscaling enemy hp not for endgame at any rate as hologram bosses have ALOT of hp hit hard and hit fast with lots of moves to learn. also jiyan does not have a bult in counter mechanic jiaxin does however if i recall right it have a fairly long cooldown and her kit is also getting changed/improved so who knows if that will even function the same at launch. the combat for ww is deep but casual meaning its easy to use aka not complex but difficult to master aka deep.
That was the best analyst so far. There is a big overhype and with reason. This can be as good as the worst can happen. Really depend on how they manage the game and community in long term. Genshin doesnt care if you leave because they already have an gigantic player base. They know they have leaving and returned and they need this rotation. If everyone come and leave in the same train, they will be left with holes that can kill the momentum
6:06 they’re kinda sorta 40% pushovers tho. Lion boy was supposed to be a brat but thanks to Chinese men causing a ruckus over the bratty guy Scaramouche (reporting him to the government, committing animal cruelty, being mean to women because they like him), Kuro changed Lion Boy’s personality to be a sweetie. Bratty male characters can’t exist in CN games
i was actually quite shocked when i saw that so many people actually care about these things enough to decide on whether to play the game. thank you for this review, because i can understand the other side now a little bit better. personally, the number one reason i’m playing genshin is lore, very smart cultural and philosophical references, character personality and appearance design and overall aesthetics. i feel like even all of the other mihoyo games lack all of these, and i’m not even going to start on wuwa… genshin would be great as a book or a movie, yk. so i really had no idea people care to think about those game systems at all.
Bruh because this is a game? With not even finished story and ppl are getting bored cuz besides stories there nothing to do and the company yet wants our money
@@ealwenmz then they shouldn't be shocked cuz most of ppl looking for good gameplay, besides of storyline, that is not even that good most of the time and yet unfinished
@@TheBleedmen I don't agree it's great but you may have great standards for storytelling and I respect that. When they say they're shocked, ig they meant they didn't KNEW people had completitely different standards that are as relevant as theirs. It's like aknowledging again that your experience isn't universal and being humbled a bit by that, hence the shock.
man you really described well the genshin experience, and may I add also Honkai... I also stopped playing it because it feels like filler content after filler content just to get those juicy stats of playtime per session for their investors. No respect for players time. I uninstall genshin for wuwa..... The gameplay is good and refreshing (as expected from kuro) but... The story is meh... And I think I miss paimon.. Maybe until I get jinyan, I will uninstall wuwa Btw what does genshin do to wuwa?
I really like the exploration in genshin. I love the world, the locations are so diverse and pretty and I really enjoy the puzzles but the fact that you can run out of stamina while sprinting makes the experience so much worse. A shame really
Kuro has a good report card when it comes to player feedback. You can confirm this amongst PGR players too. Truly the dark horse of gacha games. If I’m spending on gacha money, I want it to go to Kuro because I know they can deliver and will constantly just get better.
so happy to hear great things about kuro, assures me we're in good hands with this game's release
Did you see how many things they address with first CBT. Literally everything got addressed that we asked or complained about. Kuro has me sold.
Only Genshin's team refuse to listen to feedback, because HSR team does listen to the players (+ more generous with rewards).
"It's such a disrespect to your time"
Couldn't agree more mate.
I laughed out loud several times, thank you for that!
im so proud of you man😉
I’m so excited for WuWa just bc of the fact that you can play any character you want, you just need to learn the game mechanics in order to beat to things. It’s not like genshin where the spiral abyss is made best for the character that came out THAT patch. It leaves no wiggle room
@@macaroni_and_salsait's really not, if you have any basic idea on how to build your characters you can 36 the abyss without 5* lol
@@sappyzap I never said you couldn’t
Beat it but the abyss rn especially is literally perfect for arlecchino our most recent character
This the message in WuWa play the character you like. For me tier list are usless, the game give you freedom of team composition. 😂
Yeah, the rest of your team is good, but you know your “pikachu” is the Pokémon u invest the most in.
you can just invest in your favorite character and they'll do the work like.... it's not like you HAVE to build every character lol

Yeah sumeru was my breaking point as well. I got cyno and just sighed
Man its so refreshing to play a game that cares about it's player base especially a gacha, bless them for this absolute gem of a game
Oh watch, we're gonna come back to this post in 1year and let's see if you still feel this way. Lmfao I highly doubt it
@Freakinkat lmao bro I stopped playing cause gacha games just become boring after awhile
@@erenyeager3952 I suppose what I meant was that in games usually once we get usto it we get complacent, then the games usually feel dull, it's like the spark find a bit, kind of like having sex with someone, but once you've been doing it with them for 5yrs it's not as it was when you first started.
I'm still a genshin player and I am absolutely cheering for WW to give it ANY kind of competition, even if I don't end up playing the game myself
yep hope other GI fanboi accept this competition, GI devs need to know that they cant always treat theyre playerbase like they always do or theyll lose some players with this all upcoming openworld gacha games
Its 60 roll 100% for characters on debut banner
Subsequent appearances 60 roll 70% rateup
Everything else is accurate 😆

...fuckin internet man...give me a break.
@@ginsmyth334I feel the same way, fr. I take lots of breaks from pgr and never feel like I'm lagging behind
To be specific, There's a slight difference in the rates between the 2 games
Wuwa: 0.8%. max pity 80
Genshin: 0.6% max pity 90
Its crazy that if you spend 240 pulls in genshin weapon banner, you may get 2 random 5* weapon and 1 signature weapon
But in wuwa, 240 pulls WILL get you R3 signature weapon
Even the Standard Weapon banner is guaranteed. You get to CHOOSE, every single time !
I play genshin for the story and the husbandos and at this point ive been a day 1 global player , never took a break since the games come out,
Dailys are indeed a chore idk why we cant have dailys like in starrail ( yes i play starrail too) where we just spend our daily lot of resin whether it be 160or 180 or whatever and bam our dailys are done , cuz all i do in starrail is log in spend my trailblz power sent out my assignments , use a friends hero in the dung run and bam dailys done and i can move on for the day
I played WW cbt2 and tbh the story didnt reel me in and then i just skipped thru it , hopefully its improved for launch, i enjoy the gameplay and echoes system in WW and i plan to play WW at launch, i wont quit Genshin for it at least i dont plan to for now ...
I want both games to succeed , and i hope genshin will improve once it has competition that isnt its own other games
Most mature comment. Exactly I don’t want genshin to die either. I want it to improve and actually be fun again.
they did improve the story post cbt2 as mentioned in their dev talk post cbt2. as while the story is great if you can push through the start of it the problem is if people are turned off from the start they then skip the rest and dont realize it gets alot better

I played genshin for just a month now and have done the content with just traveler with a few supports, and all I can say genshin has the best story but once you get the meta character of yours and start using it more frequently it'll be boring and won't be sticking lore wise.
WuWa in their dev talk has revealed they reworked on the story, so we could expect Genshin type quality?
kuro was digging feedback from genshin for years to make this game, better combat, better teams, better exploration, this game win me over when I see they have a bar for shields...
But yeah, I don't understand how they couldn't apply those "years of feedback" properly.
tbh the scenery the world ,i Don't really give a phok about those. A good combat style is all i need😊😊

it's a valid argument for me, i don't care jhow good the story and world of genshin is, Paimon AND the pointless dialogues before keyu moments just killed my interest to push on the story (i stopped after first part of sumeru questline).

She do a lot of fractiona dmg.❤
the boss fights feels like im fighting a dark soul boss
A couple of things that may be exciting for you that I didn't see you mention in there:
-The gacha for the characters is the same as Genshin, you're correct!
Thank you for catching that! I wasn’t aware. Just a lot of Qols they’ve added to make even the summoning better for us haha
its actually not the same as genshin as yes it has a 50/50 like genshin for characters but its 80 pity isntead of 90

The thing with Hoyo, is that their games have their teams seperates from one another, the very same reason on why Genshin's QoL is very VERY scarce, and yet their other games have a lot of QoL that the communities needed a MAINLY BASIS each month (especially Star Rail.)
So if you want someone on who to blame with Genshin's lack of QoL, blame the Genshin devs, not Hoyo as a whole.

The fact I manually walk to every part quest area in withering waves is insane I didn’t even do it in genshin 😭
Downloading Genshin for hours only to play it for 5 minutes, get bored and uninstall it again XD
But the cherry ontop. is when I talk about it on reddit or anywhere, i get downvoted that "adding speed mechanics or a mount system would break immersion"
What?
As you said, the Map is so huge but the exploration is so slow is just not fun, specially climbing, climbing is cringe, even BoTW knew this and added mechanics to get to high places faster, while ToTK made climbing completly optional with their insane arsenal if tools, yet NO, Genshin climbing has been cringe for years and Will keep being till It EoS
WuWa added wallrun, hook and Echoes to fly, ride, and swin faster, all of this being accesible independently of the character you are playing, this is why as a base Game design WuWa is 10x times better than Genshin.
stamina does grow if you repair the statues of the seven lol and fontaine is mostly swimming so idk what you're on about there's even elevators
Star Rail improved a lot upon their gacha formula and has now become my favorite turn based game, like the meme says "Genshin could never!"
I'm pretty hyped for WW just because of what it seems to be doing right in terms of engaging combat + smooth exploration and actual endgame content.
I'd say it's pretty normal to choose the game which gives you more satisfaction.
While i do agree on its flaws and we're also super excited for WW,we still love genshin to this day and hope it gets better.
how about when your gf broke up with you?
still play it?
Yeah I shouldn’t feel like I’m clocking in to play a game
Can't stand honk
The problem with genshin is that they dont care. Horrible anniversary rewards, horrible daily rewards(among the worst ive ever seen actually). They already made all the money they need, and didnt even use the cool combat that honkai 3rd had. This game looks like it potentially could be a better genshin, but story investment, quality of life updates, how well it runs, and ultimately keeping content coming will determine if it'll be kinda like what ffxiv is to WoW
You forgot to mention but when u pull on the limited character banner the weapon is 100% garanted to be the weapon from the banner (and they have 2 standard banners 1 for weapon 1 for character and you also select the weapon that you want from the standard
weapon banner)
I really dislike the elemental mechanics and some characters not being worth pulling because I dont have a good team for them. Thank God Wuwa is different in those regards.
Yeah it sucks you could get an amazing new character but then you need 3 others to make them play well. Not to mention the artifacts, weapons etc.
i also strongly dislike swirl priority and elemental debuffs and effects (e.g. cryo slowness, electro energy loss, hydro cooldowns), they're designed in a very irritating way in genshin so overall the elemental system, while good in concept, proves to be more annoying than fun to some of us.
I'll be real. The elemental reactions system makes characters feel the same. Even though they there own animations. They just feel the same because they end doing the same reactions like any other character.
@@ShadowofIonia never thought about it this way but you have a point yeah, very interesting take

WW is much better and will be much better for those players who look for serious and fun gameplay, the story can be boring for some, but the thing is to pay attention to details and for me the apocalyptic topic is so good. The characters are far better designed than Genshin's with more variety and dynamics. The exploration and overall world seems more real and relatable. And the rewards... oh man, like 50 wishes are being gifted for free and more after completing certain lvls
I got Neuvillette, Kazuha, and not even Arlecchino have better visuals and combos than Calcharo (my first 5star)
Something worth mentioning is the effort put into the side stories and quests to actually be interesting, in Genshin I used to rush them just for primos, but in ww I found the stories quite funny and relatable, npcs with personality
In Genshin, as ar55 in endgame, the game is beyond boring once you complete archon quests. All you can do build characters and explode abyss enemies, cos exploration is ridiculously easy (purposely, again, cos it's aimed to even children as players)
In general, is a more childish game for casual players, and that's okay.
Not just spamming abilities and combos to so predictable enemies
WW is so much better in my opinion and will continue to improve as it's proving in just 3 days of launch. I can't compare my first days of Genshin with this whole adventure in ww
At this point I regret spending money on Genshin, cos it was never my ideal game, it's more like a fairytale game, beautiful world yes, but not really fun after some time.
Again, this is just my personal opinion. If you look for a more serious, challenging, rewarding and diverse game... Wuthering Waves is just excellent
So many times while playing genshin, especially the early game, i would scroll on my phone while climing cus it took so long
I will also add that there are going to be mounts in this game. Infernal rider echo. Has two forms combat and just straight up mount mode and just drive around the map.
I heard there will be a bird one but thats have yet to be seen.
Yooooo😮
im day one 3 years player and quit for better.
And yeah no hate to Hoyo and genshin but i am really tired of their games i can't literally see it anymore.
just got a genshin ad on here💀
the only reason i play genshin now is the lore.
i dont even do the dailies now. just wait for the archon quest and do it and then leave it fr hsr. my fontaine exploration is below 50 percent
I’ve stopped playing Genshin for a while now. I still like it, but I play less and I’ve instead been playing hsr which is so much fun :3
This response has a childish quality.
@@TremblingQualifierChildish quality comes with Sincerity Quantity
Agreed. So glad I didn’t spend money on genshin. Wanted comeback to genshin just pull Kazuha c6 in his rerun, to that moment I basically already didn’t played just was claiming my ingame mail rewards from maintenance, I did pull him c5 and was like: “Okay.. What now?”
This was the moment when I realized I don’t enjoy this game at all anymore, I don’t care if I lost 50/50, I don’t give af about story because how terrible the storytelling is, sometimes it was good but the problem is b4 that good quest there is a bunch of stupid af festival bullshit
And daily tasks man… Talk to that bitch, talk with this one, give this, catch that, run here, run there… Fuck it 💀
After 3 years and billions of dollars later it starts to feel like a slap in the face.
The good ol days of genshin is no more. God i miss those old days

@@JordinKun And then you realize those billions of dollars were gained mostly from gambling addicts
Yes, you still need luck with sub stats, but freeing me from 1 out of 3 potential rng moments feels so good!!
im not dropping genshin and will give wuwa a chance. why cant we love both? i fell in love with genshin and hoping in wuwa too
Because most of us are tired of genshin , Mihoyo , and want something new and better , though in the same molds , from devs that we can actually put our faith in?
Especially if the game doesn't respect the player's time
Kuro made Sephiroth 2.0 who can be played on his own and I'm loving it.
the thing that made me say goodbye to genshin was not only the small features that makes the gameplay incredible, or the devs ACTUALLY listening to the community, it was the gacha system. it’s not very different from genshin but for me it is. im not even lying when i tell you i NEVER won a 50/50 in genshin and i always had to do 80-100 pulls exactly to get the character i wanted, which took me about 4 months to farm. now im happy in ww with my jiyan with just 4 days of playing the game, maybe didn’t win the 50/50 but definitely didn’t spend 80 pulls to get him, i literally almost cried when i realized i didn’t have to spend money in this game 😭☠️
ALso the shit luck on their gatcha and having no meta characters :'D
I'm F2P in both and tbh Kuro makes farming for wish materials so much easier and gives so many more free pulls and character selection in wishing that I actually manage to get meta characters out of luck so def enjoying that more
Even though i highly doubt Wuthering Waves will trump Genshin in popularity, i hope it'll be a great experience and provide competition to Genshin so they'll have a reason to start improving their game
No but can we talk about how crazy stingy Genshin is tho. In wuwa, within like a week of playing i have 3 five stars but in Genshin, you get a Noelle and that's it (sorry to the Noelle lovers out there lol)
Next, the level rewards, in Wuwa they be giving out FREE FIVE STAR WEAPONS DUDE AND WHAT DO WE GET IN GENSHIN??? THREE FUCKING STANDARD PULLS?????????? how stingy can you be omg it baffles me. That's literally like a finger to players like oh you reach AR60? Good job here you go you just wasted all your time
Plus all the event limited weapons, like Albedo's weapon, if they are already giving it out for free why is it so hard for them to just make it accessible for everyone like seriously what is the issue with that i don't understand
Not to mention the anniversary shenangigans pretty sure i don't have to even remind y'all LOL
I love your trash talk about genshin bro lol. The amount of potential that can make genshin becomes one of the best gacha game is ridiculously high imo, and yet they did nothing. The difference in live service quality between genshin and hsr are craaazyyy considering they're from the same company.
I Dont think they will top Genshin in story and charcters but just for the gameplay im gonna try it out for sure.
We will have to wait and see.
I think forcing something to happen to fits in the story will only ruin the story.
there are so many videogames with incredible writing and much better stories compared to genshin. its such a shame ppl playing videogames for the first time through genshin think its the greatest story ever told. genshins worldbuilding is absolutely great, but peak story? nah
Tbh, For me Changli and Jinshi win all the character in Genshin
Genshin wins with its design and color. Wuwa wins with its gameplay. Each has their own pro and cons. I stopped playing Genshin because the way hoyo didn't do fair in Ei in term of story, like there's little positive in Ei's personality/design but a lot in Makoto and other Inazuma characters. (Ei is my favorite and I've been waiting till around 4.2 or 4.3 for Ei update other than a 5 seconds screentime in events)
While in Wuwa, I like the gameplay, yet I feel its comedy/meme thingy doesn't as reachable as Genshin.
Can’t beat that wuwa intro song
so glad I started playing wuwa and I noticed the difference right away from when I used to play genshin ( prlly 6 months lul) but yeah , first time I feel so enganged to the game, story, love combat fast phase and grind is not as bad tbh, I literally got my main to 60s between 5 days ( didnt spent a cent on gacha) and pull the op Resonators right away x3 and btw you totally right about the chill part, haha
i havent touch genshin since wuwa released
I ftp both, I've played Genshin for years I'm there for the story which is incredibly well thought out and provoking, and I like exploring the world the landscapes are beautifully designed but it's so slow. It's like a carefully curated museum. WuWa on the other hand I love the gameplay and the rapidness of the movement it's fluid and fun, WuWa is awesome to run around in it's like actually being out in something truly wild. I'm waiting to see how the world building is gonna play out in WuWa but so far I like what I see. I love the variety of gameplay styles. Nevermind Rover being able to switch elements from the character screen which is amazing.
wuwa doesn't have annoying screeching companion.
this was literally my first thought 😭I love genshin a lot but i feel wuthering wave is far more interesting (in my first few minutes of playing) i felt way more invested, dont get me started on the combat bro, it feels and looks so good i cant even explain it.
The NPCs look so good in wuthering waves...
Truly, a better game I quit Genshin for Honkai, tried tower of fantasy for a while.. Wuthering Waves is the best of all worlds
Actually wanted keep playing both before wuwa release but dropped genshin on the day of the release lol. You cant even compare them
It just feels so good when someone is just spitting facts. raw and unfiltered facts not sugar coated with lies and fence sitter bullshit such as "Better than nothing". the Raw truth Ahhh... it feels so good i'm gonna come.(jk)
I almost spat my food out because of the AYAKA FOREHEAD LOOOL
But that aside, I agree with all of your points
here before the blind hate brigade shows up, overall great effort put in the video, very entertaining.
edit: just finished watching the video and 2 things, 1 the hate brigade was fast, and 2 I don't even see any problems with what was stated in the video, there was no slander nor false information but you also went into the pros of Genshit yet these people continue to white knight a multi billion dollar company. I understand loving a game but being blind towards its flaws will prevent its growth (literally whats happening lately).
I appreciate the kind words 🥲
I doubt the hate will come only reach 9k in 5 days so he's good for now
The boss fight in this game is quite similar to fighting a boss in elden ring
Here's my guess for WuWa
It starts out a bit overhyped people are happy there playing the game some technical issue some translation issue but the honey mood period is in full bloom.
Then comes the real test where something is off because side not the discourse on Genshin is sort of BS
"Its not Genshin doesnt listen to its fans." Its Genshin Caters to Dozens of different communities that are constantly in a push and pull"
So the big concern is WuWa trying to cater to Hardcore and Casual will that bite them in the ass. They've already capitulated with things like Shinies no longer being rare finds
What happesn when Metas are formed How does in game balance function when your DPS damage outscales Enimeies HP
What about characters like Jiyan who have a Built in Counter mechanic in his kit.
The issue is less will they knock it out of the park on release but more will Fans stick with it during the turbulent month's
WuWa will F Up on something as much as people think Money= Development its more so Talent/Time = Development
I dont think this is a challenger to Genshin if anything with how theyve constructed the game it seems more like they want to fit into your Gacha rotation
This is a game that wants you to see it be familiar with the systems and treat it like a Genshin+
Theres a lot of positives like the Comabt isnt deep but its complex it relies on Skill Expression
But that also means like PGR it needs to provide player more toys more often
Combat is these easiest to get repetitive and so needs to be constantly updated. Gacha players are not intrinsically motivated so they need a constant flow of Gambling Currency
Aesthetic does matter and while having a theme. Characters don't feel distinct enough
But people should be exited at the very least this game isnt coming out around Natlan
ww has required content for casuals but optional endgame content for hardcore players which imo is a good balance. also their is no such thing as damage outscaling enemy hp not for endgame at any rate as hologram bosses have ALOT of hp hit hard and hit fast with lots of moves to learn. also jiyan does not have a bult in counter mechanic jiaxin does however if i recall right it have a fairly long cooldown and her kit is also getting changed/improved so who knows if that will even function the same at launch. the combat for ww is deep but casual meaning its easy to use aka not complex but difficult to master aka deep.
This comment at least for the first half kinda aged well
Good portion of this comment aged like fine wine 😂👌
The map in wuwa feels so alive because the mods can FIGHT each other without us even being there
"Because I didnt get free currency" xD
I did the same. i had 2 accounts with 3x welkin on each and BP on each but i dropped genshit instanly as Wuwa came out 🤷♀
I like how hes so aggressive talking about genshin and soft when talking about wuwa
Disappointed in genshin rather than hating
Typical honestly
Trash talking ex vs infatuation phase
6:06 they’re kinda sorta 40% pushovers tho. Lion boy was supposed to be a brat but thanks to Chinese men causing a ruckus over the bratty guy Scaramouche (reporting him to the government, committing animal cruelty, being mean to women because they like him), Kuro changed Lion Boy’s personality to be a sweetie. Bratty male characters can’t exist in CN games
i was actually quite shocked when i saw that so many people actually care about these things enough to decide on whether to play the game. thank you for this review, because i can understand the other side now a little bit better.
personally, the number one reason i’m playing genshin is lore, very smart cultural and philosophical references, character personality and appearance design and overall aesthetics. i feel like even all of the other mihoyo games lack all of these, and i’m not even going to start on wuwa…
genshin would be great as a book or a movie, yk. so i really had no idea people care to think about those game systems at all.
Bruh because this is a game? With not even finished story and ppl are getting bored cuz besides stories there nothing to do and the company yet wants our money

I really like the exploration in genshin. I love the world, the locations are so diverse and pretty and I really enjoy the puzzles but the fact that you can run out of stamina while sprinting makes the experience so much worse. A shame really
