Despite all the inconsistencies in the Village act, I do believe that the girl who the diary belonged to is Phrolova. They indicated that it the TD was telling the last wishes of the girl that is NOW Phrolova and that she is no longer that village girl. This is all speculation but there is no way they just gave us this whole story just to introduce Scar. It could be setting up Phrolova’s lore for when she becomes playable in the future perhaps. Or it could of built up her story for 2.0 as we see in the trailers she will be the next villain.
it depends though , since 1.0 story was subjected to rewrites and they scraped a lot of contents that is supposed to glue stuff together more seamlessly. Like side character stories that were supposed to tie in with some of the bosses in the fist map might never see light of the day since Kuro seems to abandon the thought of reintegrating them back to the game.
Oh, thought I should mention this, since you don't have Camellya. In her forte examination it says that it is suspected that she is an artificial resonater.
Excellent Video, very detailed and well researched. Also explains and gives context to a lot of lore concepts that people may have missed when playing through the main story. Thanks for that, have my sub :)
thanks for the recap. honestly watching this, i realize that i miss scar in the story more than ever. he's probably going to appear in the story again in the future but his scenes are still some of the most interesting parts of the wuwa story so far (even though they could've been told better) and on top of that he's a very interesting and unpredictable character.
I really like how Scar opened up the possibility of us joining the Fractsidus. I'm hoping to see an alternative storyline of us joining the Fractsidus, like the Cursed Waves story in PGR (We joined the Red Tide in Cursed Wave, FYI)
My favorite aspect of the story is how fast we got answers to our questions. Who is Rover? The founder of Black Shores. What is their goal? To end the Lament. Why did they inflict themselves with amnesia? To gain new insight on how to combat the Lament. Why are we going to Rinascita now? To find out what happened to Abby and possibly find out what happened inside of the Tethys Core. But of course, there are some questions left unanswered: Who is that Goddess in the beginning? Does she have a special relation to Black Shores, seeing how Aalto knew about us and the Goddess? Who is Abby, and what is its role in all of this? Was Abby the thing the Goddess shoved inside of us in the beginning of the story? Is Abby the new insight we're looking for? Overall, thanks for the lore recap! You've done a huuge service for the community!

I don't think that the end of 1.3 is a plot-hole. The story plays more like The Shorekeeper being convinced that she's allowed to exist, and that she doesn't have to live life as a tool. The solution was always available to her, but she would never choose it because of that initial goal, it isn't until Shorekeeper is forced into a position where she has to take that other route where she does it. She loved Rover from the very start (She quite literallty resonanted with his heartbeat to awaken as a humanoid lifeform from a chrysalis). This is also why I feel like The Shorekeeper sharing their emotions to Rover is more of a cry for help and a showcase of fear rather than simply informing Rover. I also think that the reunion after Rover is successful in breaking her out of a black hole means more. The solution was always present, literally a "It was in front of us the whole time." type deals, and I feel like the solution to defeating The Lament is a rather simple one as well that we are overlooking. It's not so much as a plot hole, but more like someone being exceptionally stubborn. She's just like Io from Code Vein, despite their being several other solutions, Io still ends up becoming a tree in the game's true ending.
