  • The Model Railroad Club of Toronto's O scale Central Ontario Railway mainline in the north bound direction from Trenton to East Davidson yard. This represents about a 10 scale mile long run (1100 actual feet). Was shot using an HD camera mounted on a flat car. This model railroad, 67 years in the making, was dismantled in early 2013 to make way for more downtown condos! To see the rebuilt layout, check out our website at www.modelrailroadclub.com

A beautiful layout. Your trackwork is beyond professional. If I ever get back to Toronto again I definitely will make it a point to stop by and see your layout in person. Kudos to your staff and thank you for your professionalism.

Congratulations to the guy's and gal's who have managed and made the COR the wonderful model that it is. It is surely a tragety that it has to go as I'm sure many lasting friendships have been forged. Thanks so much for the great ride.

VERY impressive gentlemen! Great view...and thanks for going a bit faster than other videos I've seen. I love taking in the beautifully well done scenery...but I like a little speed too! Well done in that regard. I LOVE the bridges, especially that big bridge at about the 11 minute mark!! Details on the rocks, as well as other areas, were magnificent!! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the comment... in reply, I have bad news and good news... Bad news is that this layout was dismantled not long after this was created. Good news is that large parts were saved and are being incorporated into our new layout... and we would welcome your visit! check out our Facebook site

Yes, its hard work finding fault with such a cool layout but I'll persevere ...more dust, dirt, grease, grime and etc. Luv the clackity-bl**dy-clacking on some of your fantastic switch points crossings, etc. ...cheers

Stunning railroad, sorry to hear it is gone. Did they lose access to the space? Any chance to start a re-build elsewhere?

  • @CrazyBear65
    @CrazyBear65 10 років тому

At speed, it really felt like a rolly-coaster ride, but without all the hills. I dug it.
Now.. What do you mean "will be gone" after 67 years? What happened to it? Where did it all go? And why? Please tell me it didn't get destroyed in the name of "progress" or something...

Unfortunately, our railroad was dismantled not long after I took this video. A victim of Toronto's never ending quest to build more high rise condos! However 67 years was a good run and we had fun building and hosting visitors from all over the planet..
We are however rebuilding in a new location and have saved all major yards, most bridges, and some scenes. But this will take years.

Two things... yer goin' a bit too fast, on the long sweeping left-hander, some slight banking would be in order and, okay, three things, I look forward to seeing more added ground detail/scenery in the future ...but its a beautiful layout!! (:-b) (wish I wuz there!)

everyone doesn't want to run their trains all slow. these are how you are supposed to run the train just like in real life

...a hundred miles per? ...through switching? ...around what would be a really sharp corner in real life? Nope.

+Jonny Beck it's not going 100mph and obviously it didn't derail and its better then going sooooo slow

Hey laddie, I know what'cha mean about painfully slooo... but what about gazing at
all that gorgeous scenery (?) ...though it'd
be nice if these "cab view" vids not only sped up a bit on long straight stretches but maybe someone could rig a camera so it shot from
behind a windshield or to the side of a boiler.
Ultra realism at all costs!! (:-b)
