For me, the benchmark of a truly great Model Railroad is trackwork and your Garden Railroad is the best I've ever seen. It is consistent, well graded and smooth. I give your Garden Railroad two thumbs up. Thank You for an excellent video.

This, by far, is the best outdoor layout with the most detail I've ever seen! Also the attention to keep everything to scale is really amazing. From the trestles to the embankment timbers to including the natural landscape, all of it is truly impecable. The length of the "ride" does not disappoint either. Thank you for your hard work with this project so that other model train enthusiasts, like myself, can enjoy it.

Easilly one of the best garden layouts in the world. The landscaping around the superb trackwork is thoughtful to scale, creating the perfect - mid scale - blend between track scale and 1:1. Even the 1:1 structures and garden furniture blend well into the background, as the eye is drawn to the immediate track route. Planting here is so natural. I also love the Alpine feel of the layout, including the scale-model buildings and trackside structures, bridges (that bridge across the 'lake'.... Wow! ), the tunnels, everything so perfect to scale and with such attention to realism. The overall landscaping is excellent, I cannot wait to see how the 'new section' starts to blend in with nature as it takes over... On these sections, I think you could do with some 'savannah' style terrain - mayble clumps of heather adjacent the the route, long (ish) grasses, mosses, small ferns, reeds, the odd windshaped (miniature) tree; a more wild section, with less scale-human evidence - akin to the more long-distance routes across America, Asia and Africa. Absolutely gets a thumbs-up from me on this super garden railway layout.
Your suggestions are well taken. However, with every plant I introduce there will be more maintenance. Would you believe I have taken out about 100 small trees over the last two years. You are very kind. Let me say: Creativity - may be, dedication - definately and as for generosity - it come naturally. Of course when you do all this, you would want to share it. Cheers to you too.
Great idea having the removable bridge section. A modeller in Alabama lost his whole G scale locomotive fleet, because lightening struck the track out in his backyard, and the surge found its way inside the house, and cooked the motors on all his power.
A friend of mine in Sedona Arizona had his powersupply cooked the same way. Eversince I disconnect my power supply from all outside track and wiring when not in use.
This is better than watching the Tour de France scenery! A great piece of engineering and one heck of a lot of work has been put into this layout. I wondered about where all the cars were as they kept coming from the "yard house" and it reminded me of the video of 35 midgets coming out of a VW bug. My dad bought a lionel train set in early 1950 that I and 2 younger brothers played with for years but it was just had a 6 foot oval set of tracks and was controlled by a transformer. Put oil in the smoke- stack to get the smoke. I have recently been hooked on the conductor views of trains traveling in Scandinavian countries, but this is just as good! Thank you for the video.
Sorry for the bit of trickery. The many cars were of course not all assembled in the shed. They were parked on two parallel tracks and through a bit of editing joined to appear as a continious string when they pulled out into the open. We both seem to share the same love for trains. I too started out young. I inherited my older brothers train set. They were the wind-up type, that only ran for about one minute. Electric trains came much later for me. I have thoughout my live dabbled with model trains in all gauges. The G gauge is my latest and all consuming involvement with trains. This is my second layout. I have learned a lot building the first when I started over 40 years ago. Thanks for commenting and sharing your thoughts.

Perfekt. Das war eine schöne Fahrt. Immer wieder gerne gesehen mit all ihrer Vielfalt.
@@Landsend-Railroad ❤️👍🚂
Very nicely done. I think the landscape is spot on for a garden railroad. Great job guys!
Thank you very much for your kind comment. By the way: it's guy, not guys
This is great! There is a small Model Railroad at the Science Spectrum here in Lubbock, TX. Although I have enjoyed watching it work on many occasions, It doesn't come close to this amazing piece of artwork. Having a camera on the engine for a drivers point of view is brilliant! I'm subscribing to your channel right now. Thank you for all the hard work. I really enjoyed it!
I am very pleased that you liked my efforts to build a model railroad outdoors. Mother nature is not always kind and a lot more work is called for due to natural events ie: windstorms, torrential rain, snow and the many animals. All having different ideas about running a railroad. Thanks for your kind comments.
A way to relax yourself from a fast moving metropolitan city life , no words just loved it and keep it up ♥♥
I promise I will keep it up. It is relaxing not only for you, it is for me too. I enjoy building all this and maintaining it (well, the latter maybe not quite so much) for people like you.
Awesome WORK !!!!
Thank you for your comment.
The view is the best. I enjoyed the video.
Thank you. It is nice of you to comment.
Good Lord !!
That’s a lot of fantastic work ! 🤜🤛 🫵😎
It was a lot of work. To call it fantastic is very nice of you.
Simply wonderful 👍🎄🚂

I miei complimenti... avete fatto un lavoro stupendo...
Saluti all'Italia e grazie.
Awesome train ride especially while riding my stationary bike🚵🏾♂️
Peddling a stationary bike can be boring. Glad to offer a diversion. Thanks for the comment.
Most impressive one I have seen so far, thank you!😊
Thanks for the kind words. Much appreciated
Prachtige baan.
Great! You really stopped at some stations! By the way, watching the video at double speed is fun.
It takes a lot of money, effort and times to build all of this, it's really amazing
You are right, but I would list them in revers order of importance: Time, Effort and Money. Thank you for your appreciation.
@@Landsend-Railroad you're welcome, i would like to buy one as a birthday present for my nephew
where can i find a toy like this ?
@@thanhthekid2412 A good place to start is EBAY. Enter manufacturers names like: Maerklin/LGB, Aristo, Bachmann, USA Trains, Piko. You can also look at the manufactures own websites. A lot depends on where you live. Remember to look under G Scale. There are very few Hobby Train dealers left that handle G Scale.
@@Landsend-Railroad thank you so much
Fantastic! Congrats!!!
Thank you, and I love the panoramic dreamscape you have on the top of your channel.
@@Landsend-Railroad Thanks olso!
Wow:so amazing 'I enjoyed watching it.
I am so glad you did.
2025 time for a huge expansion there is room for more and maybe come back into control from other side so no need for reverse back in ?? Best I have ever seen wow 😊
Very nice video. Excellent scenery and trackwork. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Peter, how is your pond rebuild coming along?
@@Landsend-Railroad Other more important house projects have since come up for repair. So layout is dormant.
Beautifull !! Do you use batteries to power the loco with R/C or conventional from track power ?
Most of my trains run analog and via stationary R/C on track power. The one pushing the camera in this video is battrey powered and controlled via R/C. Even though I never appear in the video I had eye contact following the train at all times (exept tunnels of course).
Wow this is beautiful, i just love this!! Started to construct one myself in Brasil i can just wonder all the effort to build this dream! Congratulations!
Thank you for your comment. I had a look at your videos. Keep working at it and one day you too will have a railroad empire. I love the kitten an the flatcar!!!
Santa fe streamliner would look great going through there...still super slick
🚂🚂Great video. A beautiful layout.Looking forward to more videos.🚂🚂
