Everybody does mainline. Thank you for going behind the scenes. I often wondered if the side lines worked or if they were just for show. By far this is the best cab ride.
This modular layout looks like a lot of fun. Our club had a modular layout at one point that had a yard, a little switching, and a functioning interlocking plant. It was wearing out so we scrapped it and started over. For some reason, we just stuck to a two-track main that only had one siding. It was easy to set up, but not very interesting. We finally gave the whole thing up when we moved to new quarters and decided to concentrate on a good permanent layout. I really don't miss it, but I often think of the old modular layout. And the dual gauge is something else!
I've no words for explain this...... Just awesome... Lovely.....I've never seen this type video...... Wonderful layout... ❤❤❤❤❤❤😍😍😍😍😍❤❤❤❤❤👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻love this video..... Loves a lot❤❤
wow. This is amazing. In germany you´ll find exactly ONE version of modular Railway. 2-track straight with mostly ONE hidden "shadow station/yard" at a 180° end, where the trains are parking until someone (or the digital track system) choose them random out of the stock, while an other random train will arrive to park again at one of the tracks. I´ve never seen something like this before. A modelrailway with different routes an tracks, big enough to park your own train randomly in different railyards... amazing. i love it.
Wow awesome idea first vid I seen like this love it had to put on big screen wife even loved it really bring out the idea of trains to another level Thank you sir
Very nice layout with awesome scenery, many tracks and lots of turnouts. Quite long and it appears you are still expanding it. Enjoyed the cab ride, although I kept getting distracted by a giant with a red T shirt that kept popping in and out of the scene.
Somebody really likes to be on camera! :D Old railway tracks! Almost nothing as nostalgic as that!... The amount of work which has gone into this! The amount of work still left to do! Amazing! The patience it takes to start something as huge as this, knowing that it will takes eons to finish it! That is definitely not an endeavour any mortal out there can embark upon!
Nice my dream track ....... but due to lake of resources ... failed to do so....... but waiting and trying for good time..... love to watch your video....
I love the dual gauge feature. The only issue is that it keeps abruptly ending. Also, it is the funniest thing to see the guy in the red shirt pop up from right below the scene at certain times 😂
Porqué no ponen el silbato en los cruceros, he visto otros videos donde en los cruceros dan la alarma del paso del ferrocarril, es un comentario, gracias y buena noche
Very vice. Notice modules have some with dual track and then some with only HO gauge. No problem as I can see. Modules go together very nicely. You need the "Stay Alive" module in your engines ass this will keep them running over the dirty or electric problems.
Looks like the switch at 5:31 was turned against the train. Uh oh.... Sounds like the train pushed it the way it needed to be though. Don't think it works that way when it's 87 times bigger.
I can overlook the prescence of the switchtenders when they route you through all the industries, yard leads, etc. The only gripe I have is the near stall coming out of the steel mill complex, D'OH!!!! LOL 9.5 outta 10. Had to dock you for the near stall. LOL Great vid!
A lot of interesting scenery, but not much chance to really see it at a scale 40 - 60 mph. Some of those curves nearly gave me whiplash! I did catch the loaded truck trying a wheelie at 9:39.
not gonna lie red shirt guy distracted me a lot from actually watching the trains... had to rewatch just to ignore his existence... thanks for the ride along though.
Please, what kind of switch machines do you use??? They look so much better than anything I have seen around... I see you have the same problems most modular roads have and that is keeping the train going. I have had a device called "keep alive" installed in all of my engines, Not particulary expencive, but it will keep an engine going for about 8 feet even if the signal is lost. Engines simply keep running even over dirty track. No unforseen stopping...
really obvious, the 3rd rail are for other gauges. These was used in some countries when exists, for example: 1000 mm gauge and 1676 mm gauge (like the Belgrano and Mitre, San Martin and similars in Argentina).
The middle rail combined with the rail farthest from it creates a 3' narrow gauge track. Only 2 members in our group run narrow gauge and we try to put about 20 modules in a row with it for them to run on. There may be some individual modules with narrow gauge track isolated around the layout because they did not fit in the scheme of the design for a given show. The layout has NEVER been set up the same twice.
Everybody does mainline. Thank you for going behind the scenes. I often wondered if the side lines worked or if they were just for show. By far this is the best cab ride.
The "guy" in the red shirt gave us a great video, and showed the best portable club layout I have seen yet on You Tube. Good for you Will.
His name is Will? As in where there's a Will there's a way? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Seamless. Nicely done

Probably the only train we can travel during quarantine! 😀 Uncle in red t shirt gave us great vdo. A hidden kid can be seen in his eyes 👀
Wow what fantastic lay out and size. You had me fooled until the guy in the red tee shirt kept getting the picture.

สุดยอดมากเลยครับ เหมือนจริงมากๆเลย from 🇹🇭🇹🇭 ❤❤
Possibly the best model cab ride vid I have ever seen!
Most fascinating "meandering" short line ride I have ever seen! I didn't want it to end. I was all set to take the car ferry too but we backed off.
That was a very enjoyable ride because I could see you were having a good time , thanks for posting that cab ride.
If you put this outside on a sunny day I wouldn't be able to tell it was a train set. Amazing detail!
Yes! I took my g scale and made a small layout and sent pics to my Dad and he asked where I was. I said in my back yard lol.
Very nice layout with awesome scenery, many tracks and lots of turnouts.
Quite long and it appears you are still expanding it.
Enjoyed the cab ride, although I kept getting distracted by a giant with a red T shirt that kept popping in and out of the scene.
Amazing workmanship. Thanx for sharing. 👍👍
Just fantastic and unbelievable video with the crazy work who it represent... Sinceres congratulations at all the team...
Wonderful layout & filming!
amazing scenery and detail especially the backdrops and buildings!
Somebody really likes to be on camera! :D

The patience it takes to start something as huge as this, knowing that it will takes eons to finish it! That is definitely not an endeavour any mortal out there can embark upon!
That has to be one of the best and most elaborate modular layouts I've seen. The amount of switches, crossovers, wyes, etc is amazing!
A really awesome sized and detailed layout. I think the chap in the red t shirt is the local equivalent of the Fat Controller
The realism in some of these shot is incredible.
Great video wished I had a layout that detailed really enjoyed it. Thanks for posting it. Have a great day everyone.
Wauw what a ride ! Im in Wonderland here :-) Keep up the good job William :-) Youre the MAN :-)
One of the nicest layouts ive come across.
Nice my dream track ....... but due to lake of resources ... failed to do so....... but waiting and trying for good time..... love to watch your video....
Very enjoyable ride! Thanks for posting. From London UK.
this way of seeing a layout is truly brilliant
Wonder why anyone would dislike this? Fantastic it certainly is! 👍
I love the dual gauge feature. The only issue is that it keeps abruptly ending. Also, it is the funniest thing to see the guy in the red shirt pop up from right below the scene at certain times 😂
Wonderful video! Loved it! Please don’t stop. Keep making such videos
Wow truly impressive alot of hard work that has really paid off great video thanks
Thanks for the fantastic ride,.
This whole video was so satisfying! ❤️
🔥🔥🔥 I wish the cam was a just few cars back so we could see the train actually moving through the tracks.
wow great detail and weathering! really like the layout!

Widziane okiem maszynisty. Wspaniała podróż. Brawo! 👍🚦🚂🚃🚃🚃 (h).
The switch at 13:05 doesn't look like it's fully set to either direction....
Porqué no ponen el silbato en los cruceros, he visto otros videos donde en los cruceros dan la alarma del paso del ferrocarril, es un comentario, gracias y buena noche

I'm surprised so many viewers don't recognize HO/HOn3 (dual gauge) track. Great modular layout.
I noticed it since I mostly run a HOn3 Blackstone C-19 at the club I go to.
Yes great layout and a tremendous amount of work. I understand the idea of dual guage tracks but it is inconsistent. So the question is WHY?
Very impressive layout! Thank you for the video!
Y a parte los felicito por este vídeo, soy fanático de escala HO, y estoy armando mi maqueta
This is completely awesome.
Very vice. Notice modules have some with dual track and then some with only HO gauge. No problem as I can see. Modules go together very nicely. You need the "Stay Alive" module in your engines ass this will keep them running over the dirty or electric problems.
🤔 why is there a double gauge, in some points? What's it for...?
Looks like the switch at 5:31 was turned against the train. Uh oh.... Sounds like the train pushed it the way it needed to be though. Don't think it works that way when it's 87 times bigger.
Beautiful. Go back to childhood. Can you please tell me what the third rail is for? It is only somewhere.
I wonder, if someone decides to play some basketball in this place..

Amazing views , especially around 11:30
É o 1° vídeo de ferreomodelismo em que vejo trilhos com bitóla mista, gostei! 😉👏🏼👏🏼

Please tell that how u buy or make ur self

Ian Douglas. The man in the red shirt is doing all the switching for the train with the camera.
Amazing ❤️❤️❤️
Gostei muito legal demais 👍✌️💂❤️👍
bravo les gars c'est du grand art
Bravo 👏👏👏👏
a third rail?
This video is cool I saw a red shirt uncle thanks uncle
not gonna lie red shirt guy distracted me a lot from actually watching the trains... had to rewatch just to ignore his existence... thanks for the ride along though.
hey a lot of detail there really nice.
Insane layout! Great video!
1:35 fisherman without experience, I think the vibrations of the train howls the fish ..
wow! I also did my small N scale layout just 2 x 4 feet.
Hey I was wondering you guys at right now?
I will give this video a 10 out of 10 good work. keep up the awesome work!!!!!
Please, what kind of switch machines do you use??? They look so much better than anything I have seen around... This piece of land would be paradise for insects and creatures.
This layout is MASSIVE
Amazing job. Keep up the great work
Cool design
👏👏
00:50, what is the purpose of the 3rd rail?
really obvious, the 3rd rail are for other gauges. These was used in some countries when exists, for example: 1000 mm gauge and 1676 mm gauge (like the Belgrano and Mitre, San Martin and similars in Argentina).
Thomas' perspective
Watching these videos make me dream
In my dreams are no humans.
Move away !
Why a third rail in some parts of the layout?
Third rail maybe for Marklin 3-rails trains.
As i see most track hand-made.
No that's different, think that's duel gauge
The third rail is for 3' narrow gauge equipment. Not all of our modules have it.
I bet he has an Alarm Clock that Sounds like a Trains Caboose .
And the best part of the whole video......our American Flag on the wall!! 🇺🇸
Nice layout gave me some ideas
awesome train video
Who's the guy in the orange t-shirt stalking the train?
what scale is this mix gauge?
Whats with the third rail?
Bro you which country
Man that's really cool
What’s with the random third tail popping up every now and then? Is it to run multiple scales on the same layout?
Someone please tell me what the centre rail is for?
Narrow gauge, but thinking for show because it's not all the way around.
Just imagine this in your school gymnasium
