I think the word “hallowed” in “Hallowed by thy Name”, is misunderstood by us moderns as a synonym for holy. But it actually the passive form of a Middle English verb, meaning “make holy”, and an imperative also. Someone has to make God’s Name holy, who is the one praying, and by the will and action of the one saying the prayer. So the English translation is not at all far from the Hebrew or Greek, only the archaic verb ‘hallow’ makes it less accessible. A simpler modern reading might be ‘may your Name be made holy’.

My understanding is that it's another example of misunderstanding Hebrew culture & language during translation. God is being rhetorical, He's not saying Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob didn't know his name was Jehovah. He is making the point that if he "appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, as God Almighty", they certainly knew his name. God instructed Moses to tell the Jews that "Jehovah" commands these things because the Jews already knew God's name, not because the Jews were ignorant of His name.
The more I study the Scriptures, the more I realize that the NT was NOT promoting a "Christian" theology. What I have realized it that everything from Genesis to Revelation is to and for the tribes of Israel. Christianity was not to be, but the RCC began teaching this thought and eventually the daughter church/Circe though only in sort broke away from the mother, they to this day still promote this "Christianity" thought. I only see redemption for the house of Israel and the eh'-rets. I do not see redemption for any other.

In other words, Could G-d be a little bigger than our minds are capable of grasping. We know that we are body, soul and spirit. This most likely was modeled after something/ Someone. Is it possible that G-d could also be a multidimensional being? Our "model"? He obviously is not bound by our one earthly dimension. If this is a possibility and knowing that G-d IS "Good" and that He IS "Love" could it not also be possible that a "part" of Him could take on the characteristics of a human, perform the ultimate sacrifice (spotless lamb of G-d), as a man, thus completing the covenant between man and G-d and usher in a new, more complete covenant that was no longer based on the performance of man but on the performance of G-d.
