I watched this with my 10 yr old daughter and she said "Ms Katelyn and Mrs Jaime are so brave, I'm so proud of them, I want to be brave like them one day". Had to hide dad tears and said you can that too, she said cool. I Love my girl. Thanks y'all for showing girls can do it too, if not better!!!

The Tangerine looks like a mini Hummer now, lol. I love it and think it's a great way to recycle the vehicle from the accident. Could be a great support vehicle now with the cage you could add attachments for jobs, etc. Can't wait to see the evolutions.

What you did is save an old friend, taught skills to the next generation, and put smiles on a whole lot of people, and maybe inspired a few. No small feat by and measure.

so, the Tangerine has a totally new life, a totally new mission, and needs a totally new name. i suggest painting a pair of flowing, fluttering intertwined yellow stripes on the hood and quarter panels and naming the rig 'Lemon Twist'

This video feels like a love letter to the Jeep XJ, Man I love those vehicles, they're just incredibly capable no matter where you put them, and that AMC straight 6 never quits
What it reminds me of is a Warthog . Ready for battle roughedan tough. Just a few flaws. Love it
Pipe benders sometimes slip so bends end up inconsistent. We gave up on double ended candy canes for industrial guard rail and weld two singles with and extra 6" of "fudge factor" to adjust length upon assembly. Love the fab content, keep it coming and most of all keep enjoying it!
Don't chop the back 🥺 just do the tailgate and put the rear lights back in an it will look awesome!

Sorry, but I gotta disagree. There were a few occasions in just this video where having the rear a foot shorter would have made obstacles easier to traverse.

She really is a natural at that driving. I know she has had a lot of practice with buggy racing but it is extremely obvious she is comfortable in that drivers seat and she definitely knows what she is doing.
Edit: I commented way to soon. Jamie has really fell into her offroad groove. Nice job out there. Rock racing is definitely in your blood now hahaha

I think what helps Katelynn fit in is that she is easily the best rock crawler on that entire team, so as much as Matt would be willing to teach someone new having someone who can focus on learning the other things because they know as much or more about off-roading than Matt is quite helpful.
Another thing that probably helps is as far as I know this is not the first UA-cam channel Katelynn has appeared on in any meaningful way, and she definitely has a sense for what makes good content if that clip in the first or second video she appeared in as anything to go by

It doesn’t have to be straight it just has to look straight !
As a home remodeler that is actually true , most of the homes we work on have settled over the years so any changes we do needs to blend in with the existing structure.
Katelyn looks so natural behind the wheel , kudos to her , its good to see a young lass getting some wheeling done , as well as getting on the tools proper ! much respect from down under . We need more young lasses like her in this world !

It's nice to have a vehicle that can take pounding without having to worry about paint or body damage.

Tangerine looks like a lot of fun, for being quick about it the finish isn't bad.

Matt, what you're failing to take into consideration is that stepping on Lego's is worse because people aren't prepared for it. They are at home in their bare feet or socks, completely unprepared for foot carnage. Then all of a sudden they step down on the unforgiving Lego.
To walk on bits of metal, in a shop, in bare feet would be unthinkable. Why on earth would someone go into a shop without shoes on. Inconceivable!!

The tangerine is a prime example of making the best of a shitty situation. A build like this is exactly why my crappy rusted out 93 S10 i had was one of my favorite vehicles ever and i feel like this will soon be one of youse guys favorites too. Its a vehicle you can just go have fun with. If you wreck you wreck it, no big deal, just fix it enough to run it again and keep going.

Don't chop it! Do the tailgate mod, and put the tail lights back on. Also, color match the roll cage to the OEM color that gave it the Tangerine name.

Love your build videos. What size DOM are you using? Looks like 1 3/4”. What’s the wall thickness? I like your taking 5/8ths off on the notches. That saves a lot of guesswork. I wish you’d go into the math more or do a video on the measuring and math.

XJ's are amazing and so versatile! This is going to be a great light weight Buggy! Yeah it looks like a Hmmve. As for the wheels and tires on the Corsair Coupe, why not 14" wheels and lower profile tires? Y'all are just so much fun!
