I think that putting a bit of powder into a separate dish for each customer and discarding after use is a better technique than putting every customers fingers into the main dish.
That’s right. Sometimes the light burns. They sell anti uv gloves to wear online. It protects the hands. I do my own regular nail polish and only do gel when I have an occasion or travelling.
So basically this is exaggerated because the dr said it would be the stronger UV lamps and even at that there is no proof, none. I’m not some big advocate for nails but this story is just scaring people and potentially harming nail business with no evidence whatsoever. Lame.
What people don’t understand your fingers are easy access into your blood stream. I am a healthcare professional and 27 years ago a physician told us to never get your nails done with anything artificial. The glue, even some nail polish contain harmful chemicals.
My skin has become so peely and wrinkly and I'm only 28...my hands should look young and vibrant ! I think I'm going to stop 😭 how can I get my skin back right?
Stay natural, why go for all this nonsense. I don't apply nail paint (on rarest occassions for few hours) or keep long nails n I have very healthy nails.

I'm sorry but I'm going to get my nails and feet done. I inquired about this at the nail shop the other day. The nail tech said that the machine has changed now. It was a different UV light that was used a long time ago that caused that. They've updated the UV lamp since then. Hey I'm going to die from something. I already smoke cigarettes. I'm just saying. I'm not walking around with no crusty feet 😂

Dip powder can contain bacteria and cause infection if used by many people at a nail shop.
Good to know

I would be more worried about the allergies that are becoming more and more prevalent.
After watching this, I worry about the safety of the kind nail techs.

"It lasts forever....I get it done every two weeks." Lol
Getting your nails done under a UV lamp every two weeks is to often it seems that would be harmful.

Yes I’m noticing the toenails look different. I’ve stopped using it. I think I’m going to go back to non toxic regular polish for occasional use.
No its finger itching problem not from uv lamp ..its because of nails product gel polish arcylic powder monomer etc
Had mine done for 15 years no issues x
Good thing now almost all nail salons use LED LIGHT lamps to cure Gel polish! 2022
LED lamps use UV rays as well
I was doing my nails now and I’m short of breath.
While I watch this a add comes on talking about free nail art lol and nails lol
Nail salon owner doesn’t believe the procedure can cause cancer. Learned at his nail school

Try using coconut oil warmed up just a little or almond oil. It'll take time but it is super possible. Also drink plenty of water.
I think Dove Cream Oil is amazing or any Dove lotion really.
I wish you the best!!
Use whipped shea butter
@@RavenMarie2001 any specific place I should get it from?
Would putting sunscreen on help.
Cant see how it could hurt, as long as you make sure not to get it on your nails or wipe them with an alcohol pad
It doesn’t

No……. They’re not putting their hands under the light. It’s for cleanliness. Dip is way worse
Fungal infection is no joke.
who does their nails every 2 weeks😱the nails are gonna fall off
Dip is not a scientific formula lmfao. It's regular acrylic and nail glues. Just in different bottle

Too bad they’re LED lights
She doesn't want to have cancer again but there she is sticking something else on her body
She didn’t get breast cancer from getting her nails done….
I don’t think that’s what the video was trying to convey. They used her breast cancer as a reference.
It's probably hereditary.
She said she HAD breast cancer in the past! She doesn't want to do anything that will cause cancer AGAIN
you'll do anything? how about loosing weight, exercising, quitting sugar.
Wow, you are so rude.
@@MJ-ib7iq sure, but seriously. obesity is like the number one risk factor for cancer. i dont mind being rude when speaking about serious stuff.

Uv gloves
Black people/darker skinned don’t have to worry about this because we have melanin in our skin to protect us from UV light.
Not true. Black/darker skinned people should also use SPF and protect from the sun as natural melanin is not always enough.
Nope…lighter skinned people have a higher risk but anyone can get skin cancer.
Skin cancer doesn't care what color you are.
