He would have been AMAZING in future Seasons. I just imagine him talking to Galavan and Sofia and even characters like Hugo Strange. It’s just a damn pity.
@@popshenroin5797True we know he’s not stronger then most villians but what made him a dangerous villian was that he had his subordinates and he was smart like falconi
Both actors for don maroni and falcone in this show made it worth watching in the beginning. Interesting to see the rivalries between the two as it isnt as fully portrayed in the films.
They had to end the mob bosses like Maroni, Falcone by Season 1 so that by Season 2 and following seasons, super villains like jerome, Tetch, riddler etc could take over.

It's funny, both actors who play Maroni and Falcone are in the show Oz. In fact, in the show Oz, David Zayas (Maroni in Gotham) ends up killing John Doman (Falcone in Gotham) in one episode.
Yep, *Oz* is the show that made me fall in love with David Zayas, aka *Enrique Morales* ... he was great in that show as a Latino crime boss, and then in *Gotham* as an Italian crime boss... what's next? ^^ Something "funny" (not funny haha, more like funny strange) is how, out of hundreds of characters in *Oz* , Morales is the only one to have his own little musical cue/jingle (not sure how to say it in English, like his own theme song but much shorter?) Great actor, and he didn't age a day between those shows, in fact he almost look younger in *Gotham* (might be the lack of stash?)
Indeed, that would have been great; first thing that came to my mind after Fish shot Maroni was "wait what about Dent?" Then I thought that it wouldn't be the first time Two-Face would be created by someone else... I mean, in the New52 Harvey is not disfigured by Maroni, but by Erin McKillen, so things can change. In "Batman:TAS" is was Rupert Thorne who was responsible. In the 1960s Adam West universe, he became disfigured after Hugo Strange's evil extracting machine went kaboom... And one thing Don Maroni's death showed us, is that in this show, just because a character is important in the usual Batman canon, it doesn't mean that they can't die/change. It's an "Elseworlds" story like *"Batman: Earth One"* , that doesn't result in the usual Nolanesque Bat... And it's fine by me! I was just sad that my man David Zayas got offed after 1 season; he was so good as Maroni, my favorite role of his after Enrique Morales from HBO's *Oz*
If you pause it about 15:03 you can see the funny expression on maroni’s face and you can tell he both didn’t expect that and knew that he F’d up badly. Lol that face he made when he found himself face to face with the barrel of that gun man. RIP Maroni you will be missed
12:06 - 12:41 Sal Maroni: You believe it? You both jammed,if that ain’t a sign from God,I don’t know what. That line from Sal always felt so iconic to me 😄
Maroni is my favorite character in gotham and his scenes with penguin is hilarious especially when he find out that he is a snitch his expression wonderful 😂
Not even lying don maroni is just as entertaining as Victor Zsasz if not more entertaining. This show was beyond incredible and i hate hate hate hate that don maroni was killed off so early in the show. He was so good as q character in the show it worked. Same. As much as I loved the origins of the various members of the batman Rogues, as a fan of mob movies and history, the Gotham Mob is a fascinating part of the batman mythos.
While Mr.Boniface is my favourite in most versions. I gonna agree with u there and love this scene and the acted between Don Maroni and Cobblepot here. Don Maroni : Good secret huh... (🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣)
David Zayas was awesome as Maroni. His acting is perfect and I love it but I really wished Eric Roberts Maroni went against John Doman's falocne. I think that would be sick.
Kind of funny and Ironic that the actor, David Zayas, who played Maroni was in real life was a cop in the NYPD, and even more ironic often plays criminals in his roles!😂
This right here was Gotham at it's best I still liked the other seasons but it got too comic book with a lot of ridiculous things, plot holes. Season 1 was a proper classic crime drama that had a Sorpanos vibe and they should've stuck too keeping it grounded. If they did this show could've been a masterpiece but it is what it is.

In the films there was no rivalry. There was Falcone, and there was Maroni and everyone else at that meeting.
Funny enough David Zaryas (Maroni) was in OZ with John Doman (Falcone) and Zara’s actually kills him in that show lol
Gotham got rid off Don Maroni too soon in my honest opinion I felt like he could of played a good role in season 2, season 3 and maybe even season 4
We agree. Season 1 was great because of Don Maroni & Don Falcone. It would have been great to watch them throughout
