John Doman is the reason I have mad respect for Don Falcone. He brought a sense of class and honor to the city's leading crime boss and just made him so respectable and elegant.
That said to me even though Jim's father believed in peace, he still prepped himself for war. Beautiful ideas that often feel like a contradiction but actually work hand in hand.
John Doman was awesome as Falcone like he made this version a real stern old fashioned crime lord with a good heart when it comes to helping people in return. Plus in the Pilot episode I believe that the real reasons he framed Mario Pepper was to cover up for Malone and protect Bruce from ended up like his parents since he and Thomas Wayne were friends in the comics and Falcone did say he respected the Waynes when he was talking with Fish.
Poor Falcone, after season 1 he wanted to leave Gotham but it kept dragging him back, in season 2 to help Jim get out of Blackgate, in season 3 with Lee and Mario and finally in season 4 to try and save Sofia from Gotham only to be killed by her.
For someone who managed to keep power and order in Gotham for such a long time, we got to see his spectacular spiralling downfall. Penguin was the main catalyst that led to all of these scenarios.
@@inthecityofgotham2573 I feel like Riddler caused Falcone coming back in season 3, considering if he didn’t put Jim in prison Lee would have never had a relationship with Mario.
@@bigyoshi5170 no no no. Remember it was stated that Oswald talked to Edward after he was captured by Barnes. It was stated in the episode Jim discovered Ed became the Riddler. So no InTheCityOfGotham was right. Oswald is responsible for most if not every villain or bad scenario that happened in Gotham.
Carmine "The Roman" Falcone was the necessary evil Gotham City needed to keep order in the underworld. Just like how Wilson Fisk, A.K.A. Kingpin is the necessary evil that keeps order in New York City's underworld. The way I see it, both Black Mask and Penguin are the only two bosses who can take old Don Falcone's throne. Hell, maybe Tobias Whale would make a good kingpin of Gotham City.
Great Don Carmine Falcone movies/TV version(John Doman) for me. I already like the character potrayed in Batman Begins(Tom Wikison) one. But, this one rulesss o o.
This was an Incredible Masterpiece for My All Time Favorite Version of Carmine Falcone/The Roman and My Sixth Favorite Antagonist’s in Gotham. Josh Doman was Truly Perfectly Casted as Carmine Falcone Making a Villain to be Terrifying and a Villain to be Respected.
Everyone in this comment section has said everything I've been saying since this characters debut in the first episode of the series. So I'll say something that nobody here has... It'll be hard for Turturro to top this. But best of luck to let him try.
He's partly right, the city did descend into anarchy but since he was a bad guy, he is no better. Well, a bad guy with an exploitable weakness, which is why he was defeated (I think he was). So it would have happened anyways. He gave rise to worse evil like Penguin
John Doman brought out the best version of Falcone that has ever existed.
This dude always plays, no nonsense serious authority figures regardless of the role, either gangster or soldier
Agree there I loved his take on Carmine Falcone here o o.
@LCARS DATA NODE Your comment brought me back to re-watch this. Caesar indeed...
Facts
Like tbh the 2022 one does not look dominant enough to be Falcone

Same
Talk about being made for a role

I love the calmness of his voice so much.
Agreed!!!
Best character of the show, a total genius.
I don't know about the whole show, but he was the best character in season one, no doubt about it!
@@magmaticgameshim and Alfred are the best characters of the show

This is the best falcone in live action for sure.
Tom is a close sec
mark strong is
The dinner scene where he shoots the fella is amazing!
Ave! True to Caesar.
I like the fact that it's the second most liked comment of this video
What? 😂😂 The difference between them is Falcone didn't betray his fellow citizens and city!
True to Caesar!

The butterfly effect tends to originate from penguin and riddler quite a alot it seems

I've seen this a bunch of times, but I never realized how hurt Jim looked at the end of the first scene. It's a beautiful detail.

I just realized Don Falcone's mother is the spitting image of Liza. 😮
in my opinion the best character in this show is john doman he is one of the best actors
Ave, true to Caesar
He went from side character jn Gorham to playing Penguin in The Batman
Liza looks like Falcone's mom
Isabella looks like Kringle
The only clone was Five
And ofcourse jerome and jeremiah, they werent clones but twins are close enough haha

He made me hate and like falcone at the same time. Very great actor👍

his version is very very different. This is the best accurate falcone
He should’ve been a Rupert Thorne character but Carmine Falcone with Sal Maroni is a perfect way to put two factions for the city and the series.
